Summary of Disaster/Incident:
Barangay Dawis, Caluya, Antique has a total land area of 287. 5851 hectares, where 281.
733398 hectares used in agriculture, 57. 51702 hectares in residential, 28. 75851 hectare is
forest. Based on the 2024 survey, it has a total population of 923 residents consisting of 236
households with 236 families distributed in 3 puroks.
Since March up to present there are incidents of the decrease of water supply which was
responded by the Committee on Infrastructure and Public Works and this was caused by
natural calamities such as drought.
PAG – ASA: A strong El Niǹo is predicted to last until December or January 2024.
According to most global climate models, El Niǹo is expected to continue until the March,
April, and May 2024 season, after which it will shift to ENSO – neutral conditons in April,
May, and June 2024, (Modified on December 20, 2023). The Province of Antique was
classified as having a dry spell or drought according to the following climatic conditions
based on the PAG – ASA prediction for areas that could experience dry conditions, dry
spells, or droughts released on November 21, 2023:
1. Onsite inspection from Purok I, II and III Barangay Dawis, Caluya, Antique.
2. Controlling the usage of water supply by means of (schedule)
3. Committee on Infrastructure cleans and remove the limestone located in the water
tank
4. Water Conservation
