ACAS: AUTOMATED COASTAL AREA SWEEPER

SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
STATEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES

This study aims to determine the feasibility level of ACAS: Automated Coastal
Area Sweeper.
Specifically, it sought to achieve the following objectives:
1. To plan and design the ACAS: Automated Coastal Area Sweeper.
2. To fabricate or create the ACAS: Automated Coastal Area Sweeper.
3. To test and evaluate the ACAS: Automated Coastal Area Sweeper in terms of:
a. Capacity;
b. Efficiency; and
c. Sensitivity and Reactivity of block sensor.

ILLUSTRATION
RESEARCH TOOL
I. Capacity
To determine the capacity of the machine, the researchers will conduct a test to evaluate
the maximum volume it can hold. The researchers will measure the amount of trash the
machine can handle within a specified period. The researchers will do it in three trials.
II. Efficiency
To determine the efficiency of the machine, the researchers will conduct a test to observe
the speed of trash collection, specifically measuring the time that the machine can
collect 1 liter of trash. The researchers will do it in three trials.
III. Sensitivity and Reactivity of block sensor
To determine the sensitivity and reactivity of the block sensor, the researchers will test
the time it takes to react. The researchers will do it in three trials.
