The Martindale Check Plug Socket Tester is designed for the
fast and safe checking of 13Amp BS1363 sockets.
13A SOCKET TESTER Three indicator LED’s across the front of the unit provide a
clear indication of a correctly wired socket. A total of 32
CP501 Rapidly indicates wiring conditions are revealed, of which 28 are faults that
socket status require investigation.

Visually inspect the tester for any signs of physical damage, e.g. cracks, splits, loose pins or damaged

Simply plug the Check Plug Socket Tester into a live 13A socket and switch the socket on. Three OPEN L E N Fault T G G Note 2
indicator LED’s across the front of the unit provide a clear indication of a correctly wired socket. Fault
indications are quickly identified using the key on the face label. Additional information can be found in

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
The socket tester should be kept in dry conditions and should be protected from moisture, condensation, N L N LE Reverse T T G Note 2

Cleaning: After removal from any socket, the unit may be cleaned using a soft, dry cloth. Solvents,
liquids, detergents, surfactants and waxes should not be used.
