7. LANDING PROCEDURES CHANGE OF CONFIGURATION

DIRTY STALL EXERCISE EMERGENCY (Forced landing)
Do Pre-stall check first
Below 1000 ft
Execution:
1. Fly A/C or push flight control fwd for gliding attitude
1. Close throttle to 1800 rpm (smoothly)
2. Clean configuration: gears up & flaps up
2. Apply left rudder to maintain wing level & ball center
3. Check gliding speed: 80 mph/±70 knots
3. Check speed white arc then flaps 10° 4. Trim the A/C
4. Wing level & ball center 5. Select the field 45° left & right
5. Flaps 30°/full down 6. Call MAYDAY 3X
6. Close throttle 7. Check for cause:

7. Set nose to climb back to initial altitude 5. Check for cause:

GO AROUND
1. Carburetor heat off EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
2. Open power, apply right rudder to maintain ball center
3. Check VSI and gears up & speed: DURING TAKE-OFF
60 mph/±52 knots: flaps up from 30°-20° (Just After Airborne)
65 mph/±57 knots: flaps up from 20°-10°
A. Engine fails
70 mph/±60 knots: flaps full up
1. Decide to land again
75 mph/±65 knots: climb back to initial altitude
2. Close throttle smoothly
4. Engine instrument check
3. Maintain heading or keep straight
4. Apply brake if necessary, till the A/C stops
EMERGENCY PROCEDURE at START 5. Complete the “final check list”
A. Oil pressure fail to indicate 6. Call tower and explain the trouble
1. Within 30 sec the “OIL PRESSURE” should be indicated 7. Cancel the flight
2. If not, cancel start by pulling the mixture control handle B. Engine fire

3. Report your position 2-3 times by mention “I say again”

AFTER TAKE-OFF (Up to 1000 ft) ENGINE QUIT (at area or at circuit)
1. Fly the A/C with gliding speed
