Final Pract. Info RCY Camp 2020
The camp will be on January 23-26, 2020 at Polomolok National High School and Dole Cannery Central
Elementary School, Octavio Village, Cannery Site, Polomolok, South Cotabato.
II. THEME:
RED CROSS YOUTH: One Movement, One dream;
"Youth engagement in restoring peace and hope for humanity".
III. REGISTRATION:
A pre-registration shall be implemented for this event. A registration fee of 500 Php per participant
will be charged if payments are made on or before January 21, 2020. However, payments made after
the deadline or registrations made on-site will be charged a registration of 550 Php. per participant .
Registration fee shall cover camp shirt, camp I.D., and other materials necessary for the various
activities for the camp.
Registration form is attached herewith and confirmation sheet should be forwarded to the chapter
on or before January 21, 2020 to facilitate early preparation.
V. CRITERIA OF PARTICIPANTS
He/She must be an active bona fide member of the Red Cross Youth Council.
He/She must be a registered member of Red Cross Youth.
He/She must be enrolled in Membership with Accident Assistance Benefits (MAAB). If
membership has expired, He/she must renew his/her membership; must provide a
photocopy of the MAAB I.D. upon registration.
For youth participants, he/she must be 8-25 years old and has secured a written parent’s
consent.
He/She must be physically fit and has secured a medical certificate from his/her
physician.
All interested RCY and advisers who wish to join can participate in the camp.
Accommodation for the camp will strictly be limited to tents. Each council must provide a tent of
their own for their participants. Councils are NOT ALLOWED to install their tents ahead of time. There
should be separate sleeping area/tents for boys and girls.
Every council will also be provided with one (1) classroom which will be utilized for purposes to
attend to personal necessities such as bath, etc. Classroom keys will be given to the adviser and must
be return on January 26, 2020, 9:00am.
Each delegation must bring provision of food for their participants adequate for the whole duration
of the camp. strictly no use of electric cooking appliances . Each camper must bring his/her
own sleeping garments as well as sports attire for the field activities, RCY Type B uniform and other
personal needs.
WHAT TO BRING:
Tent/s for accommodation of campers (There should be a separate sleeping area/tents for boys and girls.)

a. Participants are required to wear their Camp ID for the whole duration of the Camp.
b. Camp participants are expected to be at the designated venue 15 minutes before the
session/activity starts. The first council/Area to arrive at the designated activity venue will earn
additional points. The council/district to arrive late at the designated activity venue will have a
deduction in points.
c. Be alert to announcements during plenary sessions or activity. A paging system at the
secretariat will be installed for clarity of official documents.
d. Participants must keep their valuables (money, jewellery, cell phones, etc.). The camp organizer
will not be held liable for any loss.
e. Participants' are expected to observe proper dress code during technical session. ( Long pants,
Shoes, and RCY type B t-shirt or plain colour t-shirt)
f. Cellular phones must be turnover to the instructor's during technical session. ( Night time
activities is not covered of the said rule.
g. There will be a designated common charging area which will be available up to 10pm only. (at
GYM)
h. Participants must only stay in their area of assignments. Any damages or loss of camp materials
will be held liable to the individuals caught using these materials without permission. If
replacement of the damaged or lost material is required, it will be charged against the individual
responsible.
i. Participants and campers are prohibited to enter in the committee area. Campers are prohibited
going beyond restricted areas. Campers going beyond restricted areas will be sent home
immediately.
j. Designated areas for boys such as sleeping areas are off limits to girls. Designated areas for girls
such as sleeping areas are off limits to boys. No child or youth camper shall sleep in the tent of
an adult other than his or her own parent or guardian.
k. Walk-in visitors are strictly prohibited during the session/activity and can only be entertained at
the designated area.(CONTROL TOWER)
l. As Red Cross Youth members, we must always maintain a spirit of friendship and respect, be
aware of our cultural, language, and individual differences. Proper courtesy must be observed
during sessions and informal activities.
m. Cleanliness and orderliness must be maintained at all times. Each council are advised to
segregate their waste and turn over to the Person in Charge daily. Schedules will be announced.
Points will be deducted for non compliance.(7:30-8:00am)
n. Gambling, drinking liquor, and smoking are strictly prohibited.
o. For meals, we are strictly advised to follow the schedule stated on the schedule of activities to
avoid distressing the schedules.
p. All participants' are obliged to attend every assigned technical session. Only two (2) person are
allow to be excused in preparation for meal if the session is still on progress.
q. Proper hygiene should be maintained as to promote this health habit during the camp. Regular
washing of hands with soap and water before and after meals, after participating in activities,
after using toilets, and after handling waste materials is encouraged.
r. As a gesture of courtesy and consideration to the other participants, please observe silence
after 10pm and before 5am in the morning in all areas near the campsite. Everyone is advised to
take enough sleep and rest.
s. Each camper is expected to display highest standard of behaviour and show respect to others
and treat fellow campers as how they would like to be treated.
t. Camp areas will be appropriately marked per council upon registration and arrival in the venue.
u. Refer your camp related problems and concerns to the secretariat or to the Complaint and
Assistance Centre (CAC) that will be provided in the campsite. The CAC will be available to
attend to your concerns from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

v. No youth participant is allowed to leave the venue except in emergency cases. For advisers,
permission to leave must be secured from the Complaint and Assistance Centre which will only
be available from 8:00am to 5:00pm. An official form will be provided to the requesting party.
w. For medical emergencies, it will be the discretion of the medical team based on their
assessment whether to transport patient or not to the hospital.
x. Most importantly, smile always. This will not require much of your effort.
***Note: Parents, Guardians, Staff and all campers must ensure observance of the camp rules. Violation may
incur penalties up to and INCLUDING EXPULSION FROM THE CAMP.
***Note: Please present your DULY SIGNED CLEARANCE before leaving the school. No school/council will be
allowed to leave the venue without clearance.
VIII. CAMP ACTIVITIES
Participants may enjoy the following activities written below:
***For POP Dance and HIPHOP participants must submit their music to Ronnie Makiputin Jr. on or before 12nn of
January 23, 2020.
2. DISTRICT GAMES
a. First Aid Competition (Elementary Level/ Secondary Level)
b. Team Building Activity (Elementary Level)
3. Random inspection will be done daily. The RCY Council activities pictures will be judge during the
inter-school competition. Designated display area will be announced.
2. COUNCIL EXHIBITS
(TAGISAN NG KONSEMPTO SA PAG – GAWA NG BOOTH – All Level)
Guidelines and Mechanics
1. Open for all schools/Council which participated in the camp.
2. Qualified entry for exhibits must register the name of their school upon registration process on the first
day of camp. Official entry will be given a contingent number as they prepare their tent and area.
3. Each entry is responsible in designing and showcasing creativity within the vacinity of the provided
area.
4. Each entry is responsible for the delivery of materials in the camp area. Schools are responsible also in
re-packing and cleaning the area.
5. There will be 2 phases` of judging the exhibit. Pre judging phase on the 1st day of camp (January 24,
2020) and the final judging on the day 2 (January 25, 2020) of the camp.
6. During the judging, judge may ask questions from the contigent.
7. Please observe cleanliness and care for the environment in using materials for exhibit and most
importantly, be secure and safety in doing the exhibit.
Significance - The relation and connection of the booth exhibit to the theme of the 9th
Red Cross Youth Camp. (Best practices, RCY activities and Key council) 35%
In the event the performance of the competing team is interrupted because of the UNEXPECTED
CIRCUMSTANCE (i.e. event equipment, facilities, etc.) the team shall be given the option to either resume their
performance from the place where the interruption occurred or repeat their entire performance.
Music should be given to the technical in-charge for testing, 30 minutes before the competition starts.
7. PROPS and EQUIPMENT are prohibited.
8. TECHNICAL RULES:
A penalty of five (5) points will be deducted per occurrence for inappropriate choreography, music, language,
uniforms/costuming (as set by the school). A routine including choreography, music selection and outfitting
should be suitable for family viewing and listening.
Points system will be used.
9. Order of performance will be determined through draw lots.
10. The judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.
11. Violation of the criteria is a ground for automatic disqualification.

5. LIKHAWIT
(OPM Songwriting - Secondary level)
Guidelines and Mechanics
1. Top Five ( 5) Council winner will be announced During the Camp orientation on Day 0; January 23, 2020.
The top Five ( 5) council winner for Best Composition will be the official entry to the Exhibition on Day 1;
January 24, 2020 . Only one (1) song entry is allowed per Council.
2. A maximum of Ten (10) student participants per group/Council accompanied by 1 coach is allowed.
3. Performers should have not joined or performed in any professional group or won in any international
competition.
4. Songwriter should have not published works in any paid formats such as channel/website/ recording
studio.
5. Songs must be written in Filipino or in English.
6. Allowed Instruments to be used are the following : Classical guitar and beatbox only.
7. The songwriter/s may choose any type of music genre (ballad, rock, etc.) for his/her composition.
8. Compositions should encapsulate the concept of the 7 Fundamental Principle of The Philippine Red
Cross. This means that the winning composition will be the local official song of Red Cross Youth –
South Cotabato Chapter.
9. Songwriters will be interviewed by the judges prior to the performance.

10. Song performance must not exceed 5 minutes including entrance and exit.
11. Song should be performed in live During the Exhibition
12. Microphones with mic stands, and sound system will be provided by the Facilitors.
13. Deadline for the submission of LIKHAWIT is on January 21, 2020. 12:00nn in MP3 format

Music ko, Direk mo, is an Music Video competition that focuses on the Composition (songwriting ) of the
Student/Council official entry for the LIKHAWIT.
8. Entries should be saved in a flash drive encoded in MP4, WMV, AVI or MOV format submitted on the
Day 2 ; January 25, 2020, 4:00pm. to the Secretariat,

7. PATIKULAY
(On-the-Spot Styroball Painting Contest - Elementary Level)
(On-the-Spot Vase Painting Contest – Secondary Level)
Guidelines and Mechanics
1. Schedule of the event is on day 1 January 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. – 5: 00 p.m.
2. Participants are given 4 hours to finish their output. Failure to comply will mean disqualification.
3. Two (2) student-participants per Council are allowed.
4. Student-participants may be accompanied by one coach. However, coaches are only allowed to assist
the student during the setting up of materials on the day of the competition.
5. Participants must bring their own paintbrushes, sponges, paint containers, and paint cleaning materials
(newspaper, washcloth, etc.) Acrylic paint in primary colors (red, blue, yellow, black, and white), easels
(Compressor Spray is not allowed)
6. Participants for secondary category are required to bring a neck battle type clay vase with an size of 16''
length and atleast not less than 10'' diameter
7. Participants for Elementary level are required to bring styroball size 18" diameter.
8. Participants are not allowed to bring pictures or images for reference of their entries.
9. The subject of the painting will be based on a theme which will be given during the event.
10. All painting will be exhibited and used for any activities of the chapter.

Guidelines and Mechanics
1. There will be ONLY ONE TEAM per council.
2. Each team should be comprised of 3 MEMBERS.
1. A duly filled out and signed Entry Form. (due date of submission of the qualified candidates
as well as the panel interview will be on January 13 -17, 2020)
2. . The Panel interview will start at 9:00 in the morning. (Type A uniform is required during the
Panel Interview).
3. Top ten (10) candidates will be selected based on the Panel interview. Selected candidates
will be contacted on January 19, 2020.

5. Before the competition, models must give their consent for use of their images and videos. The
same goes for artists – they accept that their work can be photographed and filmed
6. If the artist is boy, his model must be boy. If girl, she can freely choose his model whether a boy
or girl.
7. Art must be anchored to Theme and concept about youth in mother nature.
1. There will be four (4) events in which participating teams are going to compete with the scope of
skills and application per event shall be as follows:
2. All events shall be held simultaneously on January 24, 2020 (1:00pm to 5:00pm) and will continue until the
next day January 25, 2020. if the competition is not yet done. Competition areas or station will be
designated and drawing of lots will be done to determine the team’s order of execution and stations.
3. There will be Three (3) judges assigned in each events/station. The decision of the Board of Judges is final
and irrevocable.
4. Each team shall be given 12 minutes to perform bandaging relay; 12 minutes for transfer relay and 12
minutes for BLS-CPR
5. A loud whistle will signal the start and end of the given performance time.
a. Bandaging relay - When signalled to start, draw and execute problems as many as they can perform
within the given time.
b. Transfer relay – When signalled to start, team leader shall run to execution area, draws a problem,
calls required number of members then execute problem as appropriate. A turning point will be
designated to determine distance to be covered during transfer. Once execution is done, the team
leader runs back to starting point and repeats the same until all problems are executed or time runs
out
c. BLS-CPR - each team will select one (1) member to do the BLS-CPR while the others are securing the
area.
d. Quiz bee – The coverage of the quiz bee includes Red Cross History both international and
national, International Humanitarian law (IHL), Emblems of Humanity, 7 principles of Red Cross,
Philippine Red Cross Services, and first Aid.
7. Scoring in all events are based on a specific criteria. These criteria, whenever applicable, are as follows:
8. Scoring is by point system. The team that accumulates the highest number of points in all events shall be
declared winner.
9. Cheating or any acts of foul play in any of the events shall automatically disqualify the entire team from
the competition.
Station 2
Dragon Tail
10 players (8 Campers, 2 Adviser)
The head and tail will be the 2 Adviser
If their tail catch by the opponent automatically OUT.
The remaining team will be declared as the Winner.
Station 3
Tag of War
10 players (8 Campers, 2 Adviser)
The two opponents will stand on both sides
They will hold the two ends of along rope they should try to pull at each other.
The District who is pulled across the red line in front of him/her loses the game.
The remaining District will be declared WINNER.
Station 4
Ultimate Sack Race
5 pairs (8 campers, 2 Advisers) playing by pair.
1 player will wear the sack on their head while the other one will wear in their foot.
The first district who finish the game will be declared WINNER.
Station 5
Piko
10 players will play the game
The players stand behind the edge of a box, and each should throw their cue ball.
Each player will pass every box from box 1-10, vice versa next player will in and so on and so ort.
A time limit of 2 minutes is given to each to score.
Station 6
Giant kadang
10 player will play the game
1 member will drive and control the giant kadang, and the 9 member will hold the rope a touch
to the gaint kadang.
A flag lets will serve as a pivot point were in the giant kadang will rotate.
The team that will get the lowest point will be declared WINNER.
The teams shall accomplish the tasks given in the following stations:
First station: Flag raising
Second station: Puzzle game
Third Station: Outrageous games
Fourth Station: Kadang race
Fifth Station: Zero visibility commando crawl
Sixth Station: Palo Sebo
Seventh Station: "Touch me not"`
Eight Station: Monkey Bridge
Note:
Final Instruction for each stations shall be given onsite as part of the competition.
8. After each team finish the task given in every station, they shall receive a stamp from the facilitator.
9. Teams shall follow the instructions given as to how they shall reach the subsequent destination.
Failure to fulfil shall cause the team to return to the preceding station.
10. Only concerns and complaints from the team captain/adviser shall be entertained during the game.
11. The first team to give the complete set of stamp as well as the shortest overall time shall be
declared the winner.
