1. What comes to mind when you hear the word recycling?

2. How does recycling benefit the planet?
3. Does your town do enough recycling?
4. What would the world be like without recycling?

1. When I hear the word "recycling," I think of environmental conservation, reducing

waste, and giving new life to materials.
2. Recycling helps the planet by saving resources, using less energy, making less
garbage, keeping pollution down, and creating jobs. It's like giving things a second
life instead of throwing them away, which is good for the environment and for
people's wallets too.
3. In my town, we do some recycling, but it could be better. People recycle, but not
everyone, and there's room to make it easier and more convenient. We could do
more by teaching folks about recycling and making it simpler to separate materials. If
we improve these things, we could recycle more and help the environment even
more.
4. Without recycling, the world would be in trouble. We'd have to cut down more trees
and dig up more stuff from the earth to make new things. People who work in
recycling would lose their jobs, and it would be tough for communities. So, without
recycling, we'd have more garbage, more pollution, and a harder time taking care of
our planet.
