EUREKA FAIR – ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS


In Week 15 the class(es) of MAN603/608 will jointly hold a Eureka Fair, which will showcase their
innovative capability. Prior to the fair, each team will be required to submit a Slow Hunch (project
proposal) draft and get it approved by the course instructor by week 5. It can be anything from an idea to
a policy to a product, as long as it exhibits either a radical, architectural, or incremental innovation.

The instructions for report and display of the above-mentioned Idea Resume are as follows:

Report should include the following:

1. Preamble / Executive Summary


2. The Team
3. Introduction to the Idea / Our Idea
4. Key Features / Benefits / Activities (Should include idea sketch and graphical representation of
idea)
5. Business Model (Using the Business Model Canvas – shared in your folders)
6. Target Customer (Customer Profiling)
7. Crossing the Chasm – How to ensure Idea survival (using Geoffery Moore’s model)
8. Testing Plan (Eureka Fair)
9. Pricing Model (Basic Cost Breakdown & Pricing Structure)
10. The Way Forward – Future Planning
11. Annexure: Eureka Fair Idea Resume (Proposal); Any other relevant material

Presentation - Display at the Eureka Fair

1. A poster presentation must be developed which outlines the project idea in an effective manner.
The poster should be 3ftx5ft in landscape orientation
2. A (non-functional) prototype / sketch / video / graphical animation must be on display and
availablefor review
3. Ring bound copy of the Eureka Fair Report and other relevant literature must be kept for review
at the display station
4. Any other decorative material required to make your display station attractive. Be creative!

Important:

- The Eureka Fair is worth 20% of your grade


- The evaluation criteria have been shared with you
- The tentative date for the Fair is 25th December 2022
