ONLINE VIDEO PRESENTATION
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

BQS610 PROJECT MANAGEMENT 2 PART B: VIDEO PRESENTATION


Format: Documentary
Objectives
1. To enhance the student’s knowledge and understanding on the concepts, theories and
application of project management in the construction industry specifically on
MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS in project management.
2. To relate project management learnt in class to the case studies/ practice and new
developments in the construction industry.
3. To test the student’s ability to discuss critically on areas tested, carried out library search,
arrange a story board, use creative media and publish videos for viewing.
Instructions
Prepare an informative documentary video to be presented during class. Use any free video
presentation application or any other software applications to produce this video which is
sufficiently rendered to ensure good quality audio visual presentation. This video should be
between 7-13 minutes with a good content, professional in outlook, clear audio, creative
and engaging. The softcopy of the video presentation should also be submitted to SHARED
Google drive with respective lecturers. Only good quality video will be granted permission to
be uploaded to YouTube.
Documentary Video-Topic Areas
Each group shall produce a documentary video on ONE (1) of the seven topic areas as
outlined:
1. Evolution of Project Management in Malaysia
2. Project Management and Construction Management- Similarities and Differences
3. Project Management Competencies
4. Application of Quality Management System
5. Application of Health and Safety Management System
6. Application of Environmental Management
7. Application of Value Management
The video shall systematically address the What? Why? When? How? approaches in
introducing the topic area with clips of newspaper cutting if any, video clips, interviews if
any, case studies and others.
Note the following:
 To ensure all of the above topic are covered and well spread among the campuses,
the subject lecturer shall decide which group (from which UiTM campus) take up the
designated topic to be presented in the form of a documentary videos.
 The students shall be guided as to the content and length of the video.
 To ensure the video produced met the required quality and standard, constant
consultation with subject lecturers are highly encouraged.

Tips
Video presentation should consider the following tips:
1. Story flow and transition - strong and consistent presentation outline
2. Sufficient information and Good relevant content - content supported with credible data,
pictures or diagrams for understanding
3. Visual presentation - creativity and meaningful animation of ideas
4. Voice and audio clarity - satisfactory and clear
5. Audience engagement - ensures the audience stays connected
6. Originality and highly creative

Plagiarism
To avoid plagiarism and breach of copyright, disclaimer should be provided at the beginning
of the video presentation
immediately after the TOPIC heading clip. Credits and references should be displayed at the
end of the video for all materials used in the presentation.
