2011-2012 2+2 Transfer Plan to University of Houston-Clear Lake
This 120-hour degree program is designed to accommodate many Allied Health Profession courses and the General Core Curriculum courses required for the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.). A maximum of 60 hours may be transferred from the lower level; with the remaining 60 hours taken at the upper level. The 42 hour General Core Curriculum requirements may be taken as a combination of upper level and lower level courses. Students also take a total of 78 hours as a combination of upper and lower level Healthcare Administration and related coursework. A minimum of 18 hours of Allied Health courses must be taken at the lower level. Other lower level courses may also be acceptable. See a UHCL School of Business advisor for details. FOOTNOTES

Other applicants can be accepted provided they meet the universitys 54-hour general admissions requirements. a. Six hours of lower-level English composition required; grades must be C- or better. b. Suggested courses for Humanities include: any ENGL literature, HUMA, PHIL, RELI, SPCH or HIST (in addition to core requirements), or sophomore level foreign language course. c. Six hours of American History required: three hours may be in Texas History. d. Suggested courses for Visual and Performing Arts include: any ARTS, DANC, DRAM, MUSI, OR MUAP course. Three semester hours credit required. e. Suggested courses for Natural Science include: any ASTR, BIOL, CHEM, ESCI, GEOL, or PHYS courses. f. Suggested courses for Social and Behavioral Science include: any ANTH, ECON, GEOG, PSYC, or SOCI course. Also, any GOVT, HIST, or POLS course in addition to core requirements. g. Suggested courses for Speech Communication include: Any SPCH course. (COMM 4233 at UHCL) h. Suggested courses for Computer Competency include: any COSC, CSCI or ITSC course. Other courses may meet this requirement. Please check with an advisor on your campus. i. With the exception of remedial courses, these courses will count toward the bachelors degree at UHCL as lower-level electives. 2011-2012 Catalog GENERAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
A total of 120 semester hours of applicable college credit. A maximum of three hours of lower-level activities courses may be applied toward graduation. No more than 30 semester hours of lower-level credit may have been taken by correspondence, extension or CLEP. No more than three hours in History and/or Government may be earned through CLEP. At least 60 semester hours of upper-level work. Some lower-level coursework may be approved to replace upper-level hours. See an academic advisor for details. Correspondence, extension or CLEP credit cannot be used to fulfill this requirement. A minimum of 30 hours of resident upper-level work must be completed with grades of C or better. Grades of C- and below are not acceptable. The final 30 hours of upper-level course work must be taken in residence at UHCL. A minimum of 12 hours of courses in the major must be taken in residence at UHCL. A cumulative GPA of 2.000 on course work completed at UHCL. Grades of C or better must be earned on at least 30 hours of resident upper-level coursework. Remain continuously enrolled (complete at least one course in a 12 month period) or meet requirements of a later catalog. Complete the degree within seven years or meet requirements of a later catalog.
