Solutions for Multi-Ply Cutting with P-CAM
Having established a reputation for high-efficiency, productivity and quality, SHIMA SEIKI's
P-CAM® multi-ply computerized cutting machine (NC cutting machine) lineup has undergone
further improvement. The new lineup features increased cutting-head clearance to enable easier
loading of multi-ply fabric before suction. A renewed knife mechanism yields higher strength
and durability. Available electrically controlled high-output turbofan and presser foot both
contribute to stable cutting by fabric type. A new cutting head features lower vibration and noise
for improving the work environment. A stiffer frame, one-touch drill attachment and revised
controller position all enhance operability and ease of maintenance. The multi-ply computerized
cutting machines (NC cutting machines) P-CAM® machines are the perfect choice for a new era
of global production for such applications as automotive parts (car seat fabrics, headrests,
armrests, airbags, carpeting), furnishings, industrial material, felt, container bags, flexible
container bags, cloth containers, carbon fiber fabric, carbon cloth, aramid fiber, woven fabric,
tent, canvas, nonwoven fabric, filters, and urethane foam, as well as apparel, workwear, sewing
and knitting companies.

Solutions for Leather Cutting with P-CAM
SHIMA SEIKI’s P-CAM®160L and P-CAM®270L are computerized cutting machines Patternmaking (zone setting)
(NC cutting machines) capable of high-speed cutting of leather, showing their strength in
regular production as well as in small lot production such as samplemaking, short-cycle- and
supplementary-production. The single-ply machine series is available in two cutting widths,
at 1,600mm for P-CAM®160L and 2,700mm for P-CAM®270L, supporting cutting of both half-
hides and full-hides respectively. A scanning camera detects colored tape used to indicate
defects in the leather, allowing quality ranking in products. Both machines feature a compact
size and a surprisingly large cutting area, not to mention smooth and quiet operation.
The new integrated control monitor also features a touch-sensitive panel with superior user-
interface for greater operator efficiency. P-CAM®160L and P-CAM®270L are the perfect choice
for such applications as automotive interiors, furnishings, bags, shoes and other leather goods.
