Dear Sir/Ma’am:

The BSP’s Economic and Financial Learning Office will conduct the
Economic and Financial Learning Program (EFLP) dedicated for the academe in Davao City
on 24 and 25 April 2024 for the students and educators, respectively. The EFLP consists of
learning sessions on key economic and financial concepts, developments, and issues. These
sessions are intended to enhance public understanding of BSP’s functions, policies, and
initiatives which generally affect the economic and financial well-being of all Filipinos.

In this regard, may we kindly invite you or your institution to send


participants for the online learning sessions below, via Zoom (please see attached program
for more details).

This dedicated session for students is designed to promote
better appreciation and understanding of the BSP’s core
central banking functions and relate how these and other
economic concepts impact one's personal financial decisions.

Discussion 2: Digital Differentiation – currency, assets, and wallet

This session, with focus on Central Bank Digital Currency


(CBDC), is designed to help the students have sufficient
knowledge in determining the differences between CBDC,
digital assets, and digital wallet thus develop better
appreciation and understanding of how these relate to their
personal finances and
the economy in general.

25 April, Thursday Session for Educators (teachers and non-teaching staff)

This session designed for educators presents recent economic
developments and promotes practical understanding of key
economic indicators in the country.

Discussion 2: Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)

This session designed for educators explains what are CBDCs


and how they can affect the economy.

Discussion 3: Philippine Financial System


This session explains the structure of the Philippine financial
system and the different banks and non-bank financial
institutions supervised and regulated by the BSP.

Since the Zoom platform can only accommodate 1,000 attendees per session,
interested participants are encouraged to pre-register and log-in (during the event date) at
