Assignment 3 Part 1 – Determine your energy requirements using the equation below.

A. Calorie Intake /2

Step 1: BMR = 1555

Step 2: Activity Level =1.375 (from selection above)

Step 3: BMR 1555 x Activity Level 1.375 = Calorie Intake 2138 (total energy expenditure TEE)

B. Grams of Macronutrients /3

Carbohydrates - Calorie Intake 2138 x 55% = 1176/ 4 kcals per gram = 294 grams

Protein - Calorie Intake 2138 x 15% = 320 / 4 kcals per gram = 80 grams

Fat - Calorie Intake 2138 x 30% = 641/ 9 kcals per gram =71 grams

Please show calculations for step 1 (BMR) in the space below:

BMR * ACTIVITY LEVEL
Since we know, Activity level is lightly active which is 1.375
and BMR IS 1555 (Height 5 inch 8 ft weight 58 and age 22)
then we get,
BMR * ACTIVITY LEVEL
1555 * 1.375 = 2138.12 Rounded off to 2138
