Title of project: Developing Songs for Children to Learn English Vocabularies

Aim(s)/purpose of project:

1. to produce some songs that are suitable for teaching and learning English vocabularies

for students of elementary school, and

2. to facilitate teachers of English with an entertaining technique of teaching

vocabularies for children

Research question(s) (if any):

1. What kind of vocabularies can be included in the songs?

2. What techniques or writing style can be applied in composing the songs for the

purpose of teaching vocabularies to children?

Characteristics of product (for product development):

The characteristic of the product that is an album that contains 7 songs is formed in WAV

format and has 44khz quality, 1441 kbps, and joint stereo. The album also has length about

15 minutes with 1 to 3 minutes in each song.

Besides the album itself, the album cover also has characteristics, are illustrated like a

guidebook that includes the lyrics and simple explanation about them, and the point of

vocabularies that are mentioned in each song.

Your comments on the project (what you have learned from the project):

This project is valued as a creative one for me because besides having an output as an album,

this project also functioned to help teacher of English find more fun way to teach children

through educative songs. This project is also composed completely and elaborately which the

writer also gave suggestion as considerable points for English teachers in developing song for

teaching language, especially for children.
