Human gene therapy in melanin
The skin hair and eye color of more than eight billion humans is determined
by the light-absorbing pigments in humans if there are a lot of
melanin-producing melanosomes the light scatters the cells to identify
which genes influence melanin production cells that lost melanin during the
gene removal process they need to be separated from millions. Historically
darker pigmentation has been needed to protect against ultraviolet
radiation in areas closer to the equator new researchers have identified 135
new genes associated with pigmentation using gene therapy, this is related
to biology because it is part of human cells and genes.

Child psychology
Researchers have found that a child with depression tends to spend more
time processing negative information than a kid who never had any
symptoms of depression more negative thinking mood and less positive
thinking are characteristic of depression this could mean that these
individuals are at a greater risk for having another depressive episode
Despite common treatments for depression, relapse rates for high
depressive disorder remain high according to Wen. More than 50% of
individuals with a first-time major depressive episode will experience
upcoming episodes there more likely to be relapsing within two years of
recovery.in conclusion, child psychology is related to biology because Most
scientists believe that mental illnesses result from problems with the
communication between neurons in the brain (neurotransmission) For
example the level of the neurotransmitter serotonin is lower in individuals
who have depression.

Delilah Wagner
A pair of new studies led by science researchers at Columbia University
explains why babies get so many common respiratory infections and
identify a specialized cluster of immune cells found only in babies that help
them better cope with new pathogens. The immune system develops
throughout life, and most of what we know about immune system
development in children they use animal studies and tissue samples from
deceased pediatric organ donors they are able to pinpoint aspects of
immune system development that distinguish babies from adults. One
study found that specialized immune cells called memory T cells formed
after first exposure to a pathogen while babies are highly susceptible to
recurrent infections, a second study found that babies have a unique way
of coping with new pathogens. The researchers found clusters of
antibody-producing B cells surrounded by T cells in the infants' lungs.
lymphoid tissue, or BALT, is mostly 6 and 12-month-olds and disappears
after age the age 3. Respiratory pathogens well before T cell memory has
developed but fall apart in later childhood when they are no longer needed,
the study may provide clues about why early trials of intranasal (COVID
vaccines) have not shown promise in adults and tend to work better in
children. This relates to biology because the fetal environment demands
that the immune system remains tolerant to maternal alloantigens
Scientists are now saying that One promising approach to treating Type 1
diabetes is implanting pancreatic islet cells

they can produce insulin when needed in which can free patients from
giving themselves frequent insulin injections. there say scientist have
designed a new implantable device that not only carries hundreds of
thousands of insulin-producing islet cells but also has its own on board
oxygen factory which generates oxygen by splitting water vapor found in
the body. The researchers now hope to create a larger version of the
device, about the size of a stick of chewing gum, that could eventually be
tested in people with Type 1 diabetes we can think of this as a living
medical device that is made from human cells that secrete insulin along
with an electronic life support system. They say a significant advantage of
this approach is that it does not require any wires. This relates to biology
because they use cells to help with research on type 1 diabetes

Flight MH370
Delilah Wagner
At the University of South Florida, a geoscientist led an international
team of researchers to create a new method that can reconstruct the
drift path and origin of debris from flight MH370, an aircraft that went
missing over the Indian Ocean in 2014 with 239 passengers and
crew. the geochemistry of their shells could provide clues to the
crash's location bioligst and other shelled marine invertebrates grow
their shells daily, producing internal layers similar to tree rings. The
chemistry of each layer is determined by the temperature of the
surrounding water at the time the layer was formed the research team
did a growth experiment with live barnacles to read their chemistry
and for the first time unlocked temperature records from the shells of
barnacles. After the experiment, they applied the successful method
to small barnacles from MH370. With help from barnacle experts and
oceanographers they combined the barnacles' water temperature
records with oceanographic modeling and successfully generated a
partial drift reconstruction with this study they have proven this
method can be applied to a barnacle that colonized on the debris
shortly after the crash a thing called 'The Seventh Arc,' where
investigators believe the plane could have glided after running out of
fuel. Because ocean temperatures can change rapidly along the arc,
they say this method could reveal precisely where the plane is. This
relates to biology because they are reasoning and using scientific
methods and evidence to understand geological problems. On how
and where the plain is.

Two new species of native mice discovered in Australia

The little native mouse, also known as the delicate mouse, has been

confirmed as three distinct species by researchers at the Australian

National University. The discovery is significant for the future of the tiny

mouse, as it has not been a conservation priority due to its invasive nature.

The delicate mouse is part of a group of native rodents that have evolved in

Australia for the last 5 million years and are a crucial part of the country's

natural environment and ecosystems. The three species will now be known

by common names, such as the western delicate mouse, the Pilbara

delicate mouse, the eastern delicate mouse, and the northern delicate

mouse. This relates to biology because a native species is an organism,

plant, or animal currently living in an area due to naturally occurring acts

without human involvement.

Pollution on earth

When we talk about pollution on Earth, we are talking about the environment

All this pollution is mainly caused by our activities which harm the environment in more
ways than one. You may be skiing What is the current problem of pollution? Pollution is
the largest environmental cause of disease and premature death. Pollution causes more
than 9 million premature deaths, mostly due to air pollution. That's several times more
deaths than AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria combined. reducing toxic emissions from
industrial sources. Public health concerns include cancer, cardiovascular disease,
respiratory diseases, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and reproductive, neurological, and
immune system disorders. Research on air pollution and health effects continually
advances.

How can you help reduce air pollution

Drive your car less.
Keep your car in good repair.
Turn off your engine.
Don't burn your garbage.
Limit backyard fire in the city Plant and care for trees.
Switch to electric or hand-powered lawn equipment.
Use less energy.
This relates to biology because Environmental pollution is proven to be a major threat
and their effects have various effects on living organisms including risks in plants. In
most cases, pollutants change the plant's growth, development, physiological,
biochemical metabolic, defense, and immunity pathways.
