Smart Goals

1. To improve my rhetorical knowledge and grow my ability both academically and

personally. I will do this through completing research on topics outlined in this

class as well as complete the assigned projects and portfolio submissions. By

building my skills in rhetorical knowledge, I will be able to leverage my skills to

complete rhetorical analysis and effectively explain in my writing. I would like to

complete this goal by the end of this spring 2024 semester.

2. Enhance my critical thinking and reading by building skills in my ability to think

critically, analyze and leverage my skills to communicate in my writing in an

organized and effective manner. Actively engaging with my peers and professor

and challenging my mindset on others perspectives. Use my critical thinking and

readings to support me in the ability to define identifying conclusions. I would like

to complete this goal by the end of this spring 2024 semester.

3. Improve my writing practices and apply the writing strategies as outlined in this

class to help me break up the writing process into stages. Improve my knowledge

of formatting guidelines and how to properly cite sources. I will do this by using

credible resources and be able to properly leverage the sources to support my

claims and writing. I would like to complete this goal by the end of this spring

2024 semester.
