Summary about “Smallville” series.

I will talk about the American series "Smallville". About fourteen years ago, a meteor shower
fell from the sky, leaving destruction in its wake and catching the citizens of Smallville, Kansas
off guard. The ensuing years have left the town's inhabitants with scars and secrets. Since the
time of the tragedy, Clark Kent has been growing into a young teenager. Although while for
any other boy, adolescence brings with it new challenges, Clark's transition from youth to
maturity is particularly difficult. He must struggle to control and make good use of his growing
powers, while battling the strange events and beings that have plagued this small town since
the meteor shower. The guardians of Clark's secret identity are his adoptive parents, Jonathan
(John Schneider) and Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole). At the end of the meteor shower, they
discovered Clark's spaceship in a cornfield and took it home with them, and since then they've
been trying hard to make sure no one knows about Clark's amazing powers. Even his friends,
the cheerful Pete Ross (Sam Jones III) and Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), the curious editor of
the school newspaper, know nothing of those powers, as does Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk),
Clark's neighbor, with whom he has been deeply in love since they were kids. A true beauty
and one of the most popular girls in high school, whose fascination with Clark soon turns to
suspicion in the face of the young Kent's strange behavior. Clark has forged an important
friendship with Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), though neither of them knows to what
extent their fates are linked. Inexplicably bald after being exposed to the meteor shower as a
child, Lex returned to Smallville after college to help out at his father's company. Clark sees Lex
as the brother he never had and Lex is surprised that this small-town boy is someone he can
trust...or not. This friendship, though, is not well regarded by Clark's father, as Jonathan fears
that behind Lex's attitude, is his father Lionel (John Glover), determined to find out what lies
behind the strange behavior and intriguing events occurring around the figure of Clark Kent.
Throughout the series, it was developing in a very interesting way and was receiving excellent
reviews so it was broadcast in many countries and was being accepted for DC Comics fans. Its
theme song "Save Me" was getting a lot of airplay on U.S. radio and arguably had a good
development of what Superman could be. This series had a very talented cast and appealed to
viewers. Some people were having their doubts about the development of this series, but the
producers based it on the Superman comic book and also gave some original touches and a
good number of people accepted this series and it even became their favorite. This series had
a total of 10 seasons published in 2001 and ending in 2011. A curious fact is that from Season 5
onwards, the series changes its concept, with more adult situations, and the inclusion of
elements such as the Fortress of Solitude and the Phantom Zone. Other DC characters also
appear, both superheroes (Green Arrow, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Black Canary, Martian
Manhunter, Supergirl and Hawkman) and villains (Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Zod, Bizarro, Vandal
Savage, Doomsday, Metallo and Darkseid).
