A lead researcher of the SIMAD research team that carried out a Local Economy Development survey in six districts in Somaliland (Hargeisa, Borame, Berbera) and Puntland (Bosasso, Garowe and Galkaio) for UN Joint Programme on Local Governance. The study was commissioned by the International Labour Organization (ILO). September 2009. A lead researcher of SIMAD research team that carried out Reprioritization needs of the Post Conflict Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) of Somalia. The study was commissioned by UNDPand World Bank and Transitional Federal Government (TFG). 2005- Present: Senior Consultant to numerous leading business companies & Prominent Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) based in Mogadishu: My clients include among others Hormuud Telecom, Nationlink Telecom, Al- Furqaan Pharmaceutical Company,Daallo Airlines, Somali Youth for Peace & Development (SYPD)., Somali Ports Operation Stevedoring Company (SPOSCO), Pharma Som Company, Horizon Enterprises. Peace, Humanitarian & Social Development Activities


Deputy Chairperson of organizing committee of the 1st and 2nd Mogadishu Trade Fair and peace and cultural Exhibition held by and in SIMAD in 2003 and 2004 respectively. The events were aimed at to improve peace, social integration and develop culture of coexistence among Mogadishans. More than 300,000 individuals had visited the two events in 14 days. Member of organizing committee of SIMADs cultural week programs. The objective of the cultural weeks are to promote democracy, human rights, justice and equality, peace, conflict resolutions and respect and patience among student populations. Football games are also organized as part of youth engagement programs.

Deputy chairperson- The biggest fundraising event to help Victims of 2006 drought that hit south and central regions of Somalia. SIMAD in conjunction with Horn Afrik Radio US$100,000.00 was raised in just three hours Academic & Working Papers
