has developed activities in the field concentrating on hair colour, skincare, sun

Formed in 1994, L’Oréal India is a transformative beauty leader, providing consumers with
sophisticated, safe, high quality and effective beauty products.

We market a total of 15* brands and use all the available distribution channels:

We employ more than 1,600 people across five regional locations, with two manufacturing
facilities in Chakan (Pune) and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), which cater to 90% of India’s
requirements, two Research and Innovation facilities, and our headquarters in Mumbai.

The R&I facilities comprise a Product Development Center in Mumbai and an Advanced
Research Center in Bangalore. Together, they represent one of L’Oréal’s six global R&I hubs
and meet the needs of all three lines of business – hair, skin care and make-up.
Global warming is accompanied by environmental changes that threaten potentially permanent
degradation of human and natural habitats. Sea levels, melting glaciers, ocean warming and
acidification as well as extreme weather events are on the rise. With higher stakes must come stronger

What is Brandstorm?

Brandstorm is a worldwide innovation competition open to everyone up to 30 Y.O. The aim of


the competition is to offer to the participants an experience and the opportunity to innovate
with the #1 Beauty Tech company of the world. It aims to enhance participants
entrepreneurial skills and creativity skills, making them ready for the real world.

The competition echoes the L’Oréal philosophy of innovation, entrepreneurship, and


excellence to make beauty universal whereby defining the future of marketing.

L'Oréal Sustainability Challenge is an all-Digital Challenge that resonates with L’Oréal’s commitment
to sustainability. The competition gives students the opportunity to innovate for a more sustainable
future, get mentored by L’Oréal leaders and build an actual prototype of your idea on sustainability.
L'Oréal India's Management Trainee program gives trainees an in-depth insight into L'Oréal
and prepares them for a fast-track career with us. You will undergo a 2-3 stint rotational
learning program for 12 months to gain hands-on experience in the beauty business. These
stints will provide you exposure to our consumer division, professional division, luxury division
and other corporate functions. You will be exposed to different aspects of the FMCG world so
as to groom you to be a future leader at L’Oréal. The stints could be in different parts of India
to provide you with a business understanding of challenges and opportunities while you work
with a strong mentor.

In order to work at L’Oréal, I need to know everything about beauty products, the
beauty market and already have a passion for the beauty industry.
Of course not. There‘s no harm in having certain knowledge of the industry, but it shouldn‘t
be regarded as mandatory. Instead of previous beauty knowledge, it is important, for
example, that you are able to get into the beauty market and its needs and levers, regardless
of the sector you gained your experience in before. Consequently, knowledge transfer is more
important to us than factual knowledge of the industry.

L‘Oréal is a “marketing-only” company.


Needless to say, marketing is an important topic when we put the consumer at the center of
all our activities. Marketing enables us to reach consumers in a more targeted way and to
find out exactly what they want and what they don‘t want. However, to take the consumer
journey to the next level, we need all functions and areas of activity of our company equally.
This naturally includes sales, trade marketing, product management, supply chain,
controlling, legal, research, digital marketing, e-commerce, e-shop management, business
intelligence and much more.
