VFD Group is a financial services-focused proprietary investment company and a

product development company in the financial sector industry. With a special interest
in creating innovative solutions and products for individuals and small businesses to
improve, innovate and disrupt banking experiences and offer digital solutions to
everyone.

The Case

Problem Statement
Startup entrepreneurs, especially in emerging countries like Nigeria are using digital
solutions like Paystack to collect money from clients and customers. Today, Paystack
as a solution, in this case, has more than 25000 businesses within its payment
ecosystem. While this value is quite clear, there seems to be no corporate solution for
helping businesses cultivate a saving culture. One major factor that few small
businesses have identified as critical to their growth is the ability to save and create
that culture at the organizational level, hence contributing to their creditworthiness
which in turn influences their ability to access credit on ratio contribution.

Why do you think there this is a real problem

Startup entrepreneurs are always under the pressure to spend and this lack of saving
attitude has crippled the ability of many companies to scale and grow. A few people would
debate that growth has nothing to do with saving, others would say that running out of
cash is predominantly an outcome of lack of savings for businesses.
