Facebook has done more harm than good, hasn’t it?

Nowadays, technology has developed rapidly, especially technology in the fields of

communication and information. Facebook is one of these technologies. Facebook is an
application that allows users, who sign up for free profile, to connect with friends, work
colleagues or people they don’t know in online. It allows users to share pictures, music,
vidios and articles, as well as their own thought and opinion with however many people they
like. But recently, Facebook has experienced several deviations from its actual function,
namely privacy breaches, fraud, cyber bullying, the spread of false information, and problems
with the marketplace feature on facebook between sellers and buyers. Some people say that
Facebook is dangerous because of the problems above. But there are also some individuals
who defend facebook with their reasons. And here are two points of view regarding Facebook
lately.
In the supportive point of view, Facebook is an international forum for
communication and information, we can get to know foreigners and learn from them about
their culture. We can get information that we have never had. On Facebook, we can also
promote goods, and “buy and sell” using an online system with the feature called
marketplace.
In the opposing point of view, Facebook has deviated from its true function, such as
initially being a place to communicate with each other, now it has become a place for
bullying and bullying which we know as cyberbullying, on Facebook there are also rampant
frauds such as products that do not match the description, it is not uncommon for Facebook to
become a forum for evil hackers to break into the privacy of Facebook users, and recently
there have also been cases related to marketplaces where sellers have scammed buyers.
In the end, it depends on each individual who makes Facebook good or bad, so
Facebook users are required to use Facebook properly and without deviation. It’s not that
Facebook is bad, but the individuals on Facebook who make Facebook bad. Apart from the
bad things, there are also many benefits that we can get if we use it correctly.
