out under the headings:

• Reporting to
• Reporting to job holder
• Overall purpose
• Main activities, tasks or duties
ROLE ANALYSIS

Role analysis uses the same techniques as job analysis but


the focus is on identifying inputs and outcomes rather than
simply listing tasks
ROLE PROFILES

A role profile includes basic information on the role, plus:


• Key result areas
• Knowledge, skills and abilities required
• Behavioural competencies
