As the Sun Began to set: Unwrapping the sky from its golden gaze.
Birds went into their shelters while Wade sprang under a wide and
large tree. He sighed with relief 'It's been a long day' he thought, 'I
will not let you down, Uncle Randy. I will hunt down beasts and
become a great and well known Beast Hunter.
Okay, let's see where the beast hideout is. It would be easier to find
them there. Although it's invisible: as soon as I start to see multiple
beasts: I will instantly know its the Hideout' He stretched his neck to
look up in the sky. He gazed at the twinkling stars under the
moonlight. He had his one hand supported by his knee and the other
hand lying on the grass.

"We're Never Gonna Meet again, are we?" The Girl Asked the boy
Wade quickly realized that the boy found him. The boy's gaze made
his face clear but the girl's face was still unrecognizable. She Didn't
turn to look at Wade, But Instead Ran in the opposite direction. Wade
Finally revealed himself.
"Why were you interested in ruining our privacy?" The boy started

"I'm Sorry" Wade spoke, "But What are you doing in the middle of
the forest at the middle of the night? and why did she run away?"
"She was going to run away, Anyway" The Boy said, "What
are you doing here?"
"I'm a Rouge Beast Hunter" Wade said with his chest inflating with
pride, "You can call me Wandering Blade"
His eyes started emitting a blue glow like a light bulb, burning to its
limits. His eyes were brighter than the Sun, but were blue in color.
Wade quickly realized that he was not a normal boy but a human
beast. The girl also must've been a human beast.
The boy swiftly grabbed Wade's neck before he could make a move.
He tightened his grip as Wade grunted in pain.
Wade however, was hitting the boy's arm, and leg in order to free
himself from his grip but he was way stronger.
"I will not kill you" The boy demanded, "as long as you don't kill any
of the beasts. If I see you kill even one - You'll Die in my hands!"

Wandering Beast
Although it seemed like he died Wade was truly sure that he had just
teleported away, and Wade will have to follow his orders in order to
live peacefully. But he also couldn't give up his uncle's dream of him
becoming a Beast Hunter.
Jessica was a typical girl of 2123. She had the power of better senses,
and she was pretty much powerless. She was wearing a blue dress
with a White pattern Thin Shoulder Straps, and a blue frock, and her
long - Blonde Hair were reaching her upper waist. Her Attractive Blue
eyes and a white loose strip on her neck gave her, a decent look.
A small high-tech house, somewhere inside the Sling forest: enters the
picture. The main Door Slid open, and Zadar Comes out. Zadar was
wearing A white shirt, with a blue design near the neck, and an off-
white coat. His purple hair gave him a badass look. Now, The man was
a thunder caller, a rare and powerful individual with the ability to

control the lightning at will. He was feared and revered by all who
knew of him, and his powers were said to be beyond measure. With a
single thought, he could summon forth a storm that would shake the
earth to its very foundations, or he could unleash a bolt of lightning
that would strike his enemies with the force of a thousand suns.
who just came out from the same door, wearing a black and yellow
hoodie, dark - blue pyjamas, and a lock of pink hair, dangling between
her two yellow eyes.
"I went to her room but there was no one, I think she might be in the
shower," Said Zadar
"But I was using her Shower because mine needed to get repaired,"
said Raavi.
When Jessica was losing all her hope, A Man arrived to save her, A
Big Man with a Muscular body and a Long Katana Sword Appeared!
The wolf shot his Powerful Fire Breath at Jessica but The Man came
in between and the flame breath vanished in seconds, it vanished in
thin air or was it absorbed by the man, Everything, Every Vision Was
So Confusing For Her. She never had experienced such thing where
someone had to protect her in years, She was strong enough alone, as
a Beast Hunter. But this time, The Situation got her off guard, Her
Savior, Wandering Blade Saved her, he absorbed the breath and leaped
at the wolf while absorbing every attack the wolf tried to do. He
Finally Landed on top of the wolf's head While Stabbing the wolf with
his katana, He absorbed the whole Beast inside in a matter of seconds
and this seemed like an everyday thing for him
"Hey, Are You Okay?" He asked While giving his Hand to her
Wade was a tall muscular guy, he was wearing a black overcoat, with
'X' shaped gray straps keeping the overcoat in place with a red crystal
in the centre of the 'X'. He was wearing a dark green shirt and black
pants with a brown belt in between. And a black scar on his right eye,
and a Black iris. But his real name was Virat, He didn't tell everyone
that his name was Virat, Most of the people he came across called him
Wandering Blade OR Wade.
When She realised that she was embarrassing herself, she took his
hand and hauled herself into a standing position, they were standing
nose to nose when She immediately pulled herself back and also pulled
her hand.
"Well. I saw how Strong You were while running from that damn
fox" He Replied with a smirk,
"Oh Hello?" She said, "I don't think you are a Beast Hunter, With that
attitude, You seem like an Illiterate Rover!"
He Got Completely Embarrassed With this roast, But what else could
he even do? So He Acted like He didn't hear anything and started
walking by.
"Hey, Well... How do I say it?" She said, "Okay, let's put it simply, Are
You a Beast Hunter?"
"Yeah"
"Okay then.." She said, "Come with me, I've got something to Show
You!"
Virat followed Her, They walked towards her base. Finally, they
reached the base where the other team members of her were looking
for her.
"Dude!" Ron said "Where have you been? We have been looking for
you everywhere!"
"You won't believe it but" Said Jessica "He is also a Beast Hunter!"
"Yup," said Virat "I am The Wandering Blade, Wade For Short, My
Real Name is Virat"
The Shook each other's Hands and Zadar Showed Him the Base. Then
in the noon after lunch, They left on hunting, They had this habit,
would Roam in the wild with their foldable base which they can carry
anywhere. Whenever they found a Beast they would hunt it down
with ease and move on to repeat.
They Found a Weak beast which they defeated. And After 4 Hours of
Roaming, at 7:00 pm They unfolded their base and got in. They had
Dinner together and after Dinner, They had a Warm Born Fire Going
on just several meters away from the entrance of the base. They were

and he left walking in the dark forest, towards the Underground Beast
Hideout. But he forgot his sword there. Virat was walking through the
darkness of the terrifying forest with shedding leaves, He walked
straight in a narrow pathway With No Fear Seen his eyes but his eyes
were telling more than his mouth, He Was suffering, From Pain,
Mental pain, Physical pain, His eyes showed the Compulsion while
walking through that forest aimlessly, How helpless he was against
the beast, those were the only things going through his mind. He was
walking and walking until he reached a man.
The Man Stood at least eight feet tall, with long, spindly limbs and a
skeletal frame. Its skin was a sickly green colour, and it was covered in
bony protrusions and spines. Its head was elongated and topped with a

And Returned To The Base Just to Find out that Jessica Took his
Blade and also went towards the Forest To Find him.
"you Sure?"
"Pretty Sure".
Jessica was also walking in the woods of darkness while dragging the
Katana on the ground and only holding it from its handle's tip. After
walking for a while fearlessly, She suddenly stopped and slowly turned
her head towards her left, it was all darkness but, She saw it, She saw
a giant electric gorilla lying down, It was a powerful Beast But she
didn't even Blink, The gorilla was 3 times its original size as it was a
beast. She went near him, which woke him Woke up, he opened his
eyes and looked at her neutrally. he waggled his eyebrows trying to
ask what was up. We couldn't see from the gorilla's perspective too,
Why didn't the gorilla attack remain a mystery but when he tried to
speak something, She pulled the sword and softly touched the sword's
point to his body which caused it to absorb the whole beast into the
sword. She realised that it was too much power for a normal human to
keep.
"How does Wade keep all the beasts inside him? The sword doesn't
offer the user, a choice, it just absorbs the power and transfers it into
the user's body." Jessica thought
She was confused. She wanted to know, how he was able to absorb the
beasts with ease. When she reached the base and entered, she saw
Wade sitting alone on the sofa with one leg on top of the other, and
both arms stretched out on both sides of the sofa, They all were asleep
but Wade was awake.
After handing over the sword and while towards her room to sleep.
Wade also Got to Bed, He didn't have any other of his clothes with
him as Firefox burned his Bag While he was trying to save Jessica.
Jessica was right though, He wasn't Illiterate But he was a Rouge, As
per his name "Wandering Blade" This man was like a Coconut, with
Soft Emotions Inside But Tough Guy on the outside! Why was Jessica
able to easily absorb the beast, and why didn't the beast attack him,
remained a mystery. But one thing was for sure, that Jessica wasn't a
normal human being.
But one thing was for sure, that Jessica wasn't a normal human being
Chapter Two
Hunter’s Prey
Start As the Sun Began To Set, and the clouds turned orange,
everyone in the village scurried to their shelters out of fear of the
beasts. Except for Wade, who withdrew his sword from its sheath and
headed back into the forest.
"Tonight, I'm going to learn the truth about him," Jessica declared.
Suddenly, the same beast from the previous night appeared before
them, his expression dark and menacing.
"I don't think you got what I was trying to communicate, did you?"
the beast growled.
"I did, but I'm no longer a compulsive rogue who needs someone to
keep me alive," Wade retorted.
As Jessica turned around to find the beast standing right behind her.
She was confused and frightened, but she also felt an inexplicable
connection to the beast. She realised her mistake of following Wade.
The next thing she knew, the beast had grabbed her neck and
teleported back where it was, with her.
"I just wanted to know what you were keeping from us!" Jessica cried.
In an instant, Wade sprang into action. He drew his sword and lunged
at the beast, slicing off his head with a swift stroke. The beast's body
crumpled to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Unable to find the right words, he simply lifted his hands, closed his
eyes, and wrapped her in the warm embrace of his arms.
Wade and Ron were strolling peacefully at the time. Walking in the
plain-uneven fields of nature, there was no beast as far as the eye could
see. But surely they were hiding somewhere, because staying small in
size until any prey came nearby, was their everyday thing. They
would stay as small as an ant and when they smell a prey nearby, they
would increase their size and eat it alive, no matter if it's a human,
animal or insect.
They were having their walk, talking about each other's hobbies and
interests. They had kinda the same interests but quite different
hobbies. They both liked killing beasts, ruthlessly; but when Wade
enjoyed doing it, Ron wasn't enjoying it much and thinking of it as
just his job, but Wade did it for his fun.
"Now, Finally I'll get to see Speedster in Action" Wade Smiled while
still in the air
Wandering Beast
"WADE!" Ron yelled, as he didn't know that a fall from this height
was nothing for Wad; as he had jumped from a high place.
Before he made a rough landing on the turf, with his knees and palms.
He hauled himself into a standing position and watched Ron fight the
bunny. He was fighting the urge to finish it right off, as he wanted to
see Ron in action. Ron then took a deep breath of satisfaction, he then
turned to the Beast. Ron was angrily gazing at the bunny, waiting for
it to make a move first. Meanwhile, the bunny was also angrily staring
at Ron, it seemed like the bunny was giving its best to look dangerous,
but he was too cute to be Dangerous.
A tornado suddenly appeared under Ron's feet. But it was too slow,
Ron already escaped from it, before it could even start forming itself.
Ron ran around the beast in circles. He then climbed the beast from its
tail. He climbed on top of its head and pulled out a butterfly knife, and
made a scratch on its forehead. And then he jumped back down. Just
the scratch was Enough to kill the beast as he was using a special
knife, just made for killing beasts. Just one scratch from it would
trigger the lysosomes in the beast and it would kill itself.
"Why in the Sucking hell," Ron Said Angrily "Did you think it was a
good idea to watch me Fight, instead of helping me?"
Hunter’s Prey
"I just wanted to see" Wade replied without a sense of guilt in his
voice, "How good could you fight? And I was amazed-it will never
happen again though"
As soon as the beast was killed, its body started converting into thin-
black smoke and flew in the air. The Beast's Body Started Fading in
the smoke as Ron Slowly Approached Wade.
"Did you just let that beast die?" Wade Said in Disgust
"You guys are doing, what I call, 'Passive Hunting'" Wade Replied
"Let me show you how I hunt for beasts"
Ron and Wade continued walking in the fields. Wade walked with a
hand on his sword's scabbard and the other hand in his pocket, which
wasn't quite visible, as it was covered by his overcoat. Meanwhile -
Ron was walking with both of his hands on his belt.
"So" Wade Started "why do you have such a little height? - I mean, is
it natural?"
It wasn't Ron's Behavior, but rather he didn't want to talk about his
height.
After walking for about half an hour, they finally reached the same
forest but from the other corner. They were near the seacoast side of
the Underground Beast Hideout, near the Sling Forest, with green
trees; a mixture of turf and soil on the ground; Clear Sky; and The
wind was howling between the trees, the sound sometimes rising to a
banshee wail, sometimes falling to a moan.
"Now, this is the place, where all the demons hide," Wade said
confidently.
The wave of confidence was heard in his voice, and the merciless: Evil
smile was seen on his face. Ron's heart started beating as fast as a
bullet train which could be heard for several miles; due to excitement
and curiosity.
It felt like there was a demon, hiding inside Wade, just waiting to be
unleashed. His eyes were filled with rage. And his face looked like the
devil's. He grabbed the handle of his katana and pulled it out of the
scabbard. He held it with both of his hands. He aimed the katana
toward the ground and stuck it in the ground. The elegant blade
started pulsing bluish-purple light. And before Ron could say
anything, an energy blast of the same colour, occurred.
"This energy blast would Resize all the beasts in its radius" Wade
Explained
Hunter’s Prey
When suddenly, bushes ahead of them made a noise. Wade pulled out
his sword from the ground, and aimed it towards the bush, ready to
hit it, at the moment it got out. Ron also prepared himself for the
beast. But to their surprise, a normal-looking brown baby deer came
out.
The baby deer looked normal, and its eyes made it look even cuter. He
seemed as neutral as water, but who would know the snake mindset
hiding inside a cute deer?
Before the deer could even blink, Wade jumped at it with his katana
aimed at the deer's waist. 'It's just a normal DEER!' Ron wanted to
say, but couldn't.
Wade cut straight through the deer's belly, separating the deer from
its body from the waist down. Some blue energy fog is released from
the exposed organs of the deer. Blood splattered all over the ground
and on Wade's clothes. But the blood on Wade's coat seemed to
disappear, because of its black color. The deer's eyes turned blue.
"I guess you were right. But how did you figure that out?" Ron replied
"I can see what normal eyes can't," Wade said with a coarse voice.
"Ahem!" He cleared his throat, to get rid of that coarse voice.
Wandering Beast
Wade lifted the deer's upper half body, from the back of its neck, and
raised it to his eye level.
"Tell me where the other beasts are hiding, NOW!" He demanded the
deer.
The deer told him about the other beasts' location by moving its head
towards that direction.
"That's why, I would like to call you Passive Hunters," Wade said
mockingly.
When they reached another beast, Wade threw the deer, to the side to
let it die by itself. And did the same energy blast.
A tortoise beast revealed itself, it had the power to control the land.
Before the Beast could make a move, Wade again pulled his katana
and threw it at the Beast. The katana went spinning. And it sharply
stabbed through the hard shell of the tortoise, as soon as it touched
the katana, the tortoise disappeared. It got absorbed inside the sword.
Hunter’s Prey
Wade then, went to pick it up. He picked it up and got to Ron. And
they continued their walking.
"I would've picked this one up also, but I wasn't in the mood" Wade
smiled
"Oh shit dude, you are very merciless!" Ron exclaimed. "Oh, by the
way, do you trust me?"
"Yeah, I might"
"Go on"
"I told you that I thought she was cute, not that I like her!"
'I Shouldn't've told you that in the first place, Wade thought
"What? No!"
"Oh come on, I don't want her. I mean she's also good but, not as good
as Jessica. Also, that Jessica isn't my crush!"
"No, I don't"
"Oh FUCK!"
"Got ya secret!"
"I am gonna Fuck your Stupid Dumbass if you tell her. Or anyone for
that matter!"
"You Better!"
"Ok, what would you do if your crush - let's say Jessica for example -
proposed to you?"
"No, let's say she said a pickup line or indirectly told you to imagine
her as your wife, what would you do?"
Will Ron spit out Wade's Secret? Will Wade ever be able to Confess
his true feelings about Jessica? Will Wade be a Part of their Team
Forever?

Chapter Three
Leap Of Faith
"Alright" Raavi Replied "Then Jessica can go with Wade, As she isn't
strong enough to handle a beast by herself"
"I CAN!"
Wade and Zadar with Jessica and Ron went in separate Direction,
Zadar was Walking Forward in the Open Fields, Rolling up his eyes
Leap Of Faith
as Ron Giggled like a child, Every 5 Seconds while running here &
there. Meanwhile Raavi was teleporting in all random locations
possible, She was in a Deep Forest but is less than a second, Now she
was at The driest Desert with extreme hot, and even that wasn't
enough, She teleported to a stranded island in the middle of nowhere.
All this happened before the clock could even tick a second.
On the other hand - Wade and Jessica were walking calmly through
the deep Sling Forest. Towards the Serpentine Cliffs. Crunching down
the yellow dry leaves of the trees - Wade was walking with his hands
inside his pocket, and looking down at the pathway Meanwhile Jessica
was walking with her hands open in the air swinging them back and
forth and enjoying the view of the thin strap of sunlight hitting
ground from the space between leaves, as there was very less sunlight
- Leaves were covering it all up.
They were having a nice and calm walk, When out of nowhere, The
sunlight Faded And a thunderstorm started, They couldn't see the
grey sky from the forest but they heard the thunder claps, Jessica even
got jump scared when they head the first one, But it wasn't a normal
thunderstorm,
while looking up in the sky, his left eye flickered. when suddenly
Lightning Struck the tree behind them and the tree burned down,
They both got scared this time but wade noticed that something was
off - The fire wasn't Orange, or yellow - It Was Red!
Wandering Beast
This is when they both got sacred because they were even at the
Similar spot with the exact same trees around them. This is when it
struck Wade
"RUN!" He yelled
His left eye stopped flickering. And they both started sprinting, They
didn't know what was happening but as they were running, The
lightning was eliminating the trees Behind them, and it felt like if they
stopped for even a split second, They would get struck by it and die
instantly.
Leap Of Faith
They ran as fast as they could, but they were only humans, how long
could they even last? Eventually, they stopped because they saw a
gigantic stop ahead of them, and as they got a clearer look, it was a
cliff. They climbed the entire Serpentine Cliffs and now they were stuck
at the edge of a cliff, however - the thunder stopped chasing them as if
it had came to life.
The bolt of lightning hit again - this time just behind wade. Wade
survived by just an inch but unluckily he was standing right at the
edge - Jessica's Jaw fell down as wade was slowly slipping from the
edge. She made a quick run and grabbed him before anything bad
happened. Perhaps you can't control the circumstances, she couldn't
grab him from anywhere except from one of his golden plates at the
shoulder, she tightened her grip as hard as she could, wade was barely
hanging on that plate and jessica was standing right at the edge with
her one leg in front of the other, The bolt of lightning struck at a
distance.
the plate gave off, it got separated from the coat, Jessica couldn't lay
another hand in time to grab him back. This all happened so fast, it
didn't even give time for wade to think of anything else except
hanging on the plate.
Wade fell from the cliff, the cliff was so high that even the ground
wasn't visible from there, wade slowly dissapeared in the bluish white
Wandering Beast
fog. The sense of guilt was visible on her face, Tears fell down her
eyes
She fell on her knees as her tears reached the ground, the rain sped up,
making her eyes more wet, and hiding her tears. His whole Life
Flashed Before his eyes, as he was falling in what seemed like a
endless pit leading to nowhere. He closed his eyes, waiting for his fate,
and he fainted as soon as he closed his eyes. He put a little smile on his
face and said,
It was a small hut made of bamboo, and roofed with hay which
contained no door ; from where an old man with a stick: almost as
high as his height, his White, Dense Beard and Moustache Covered
his mouth and neck, although it was hard to see his hairs, covered
with a off - white blanket which was long enough to reach his waist
and cover one arm, as the other was holding the thin bamboo stick ;
His eyes were enough to tell his wisdom : of Protecting no-one else
but himself. Came out.
The hut was near a Gigantic mountain whose top was hard to see, and
there was a large pond nearby the hut, the old man reached the pond
and washed his face along with his beard, He took out a small mud-
pot, and filled it with pond water. He got back up to bring the water to
Leap Of Faith
his hut, however suddenly a Man Fell From the Sky, Straight on the
hut's roof, Breaking the roof and falling straight it the hut.
The old man Quickly made a run towards his hut, dropping his mud-
pot (which caused it to break in pices). He entered the hut, and saw
that the ceiling had a big hole which could fit a whole man inside, and
on his hay bed was a man. The old man tried to wake wade up, but
who would wake up after a fall from a cliff, twice as high as the burj
khalifa.
Couple of days later, Wade woke up with a blurry vision of the hut's
inside. An Attractive Young lady was working on the table in front of
him, facing the wall, After the Wade's Vision got clearer, He Saw her ;
She Jerked her Head Around, launching her dangling free hair, behind
her back from her shoulder. She was holding a Conical Flask with
some Green Liquid in it. She Was wearing a purple off - shoulder
Frock dress. Her Purple eyes gave her an amazing look, which would
make even the toughest one: melt for her.
"This better Work! Oh you woke up! Finally! I have be trying for days!
Let me call my dad real quick." She said before leaving without
hesitation.
Shortly after, the old man from earlier appeared in the room,
"So, You're Finally awake." The old man said in a deep voice.
"Yeah, Thanks for rescuing me, Who are you?" Wade asked
Wandering Beast
"I am Wade"
"hey, Daisy"
"I saw you fell from a height, straight into my hut, I saw you in a bad
condition. I assumed you fell from the cliff above, so i called my
daughter if she could do something helpful. The cliff is out of my
reach. Now, Can you tell me what actually happened?" Richard said
"I mean, Yeah not just her, I had 4 team mates, I thought you
might've heard of them"
Leap Of Faith
Daisy realised that she said something she shouldn't have, so she
silently moved out of the hut while looking down.
"Yeah so where was I?" wade continued "she tried to grab me but
instead, ended up tearing my t-shirt. I really thought I was going to
die and that was the end, Thanks to you guys. You saved my life"
"oh, ok".
Daisy went near the pond, Sat on her knees and looked at her
reflection.
"I don't care what dad says, I will not let my chance slip, Wade is the
perfect guy for me" She talked to herself while collecting the mud-
pot's broken pieces.
Turns out; Daisy Melted for Wade, and Richard Already knew it,
because of her expressions while talking to him.
Wandering Beast
"a new Adventure is about to begin for you, Young one" Richard
Narrated.
Chapter Four
Life DOwnhill
"Best? BEST? saving him was the best you could do for him!" Zadar
sobbed furiously.
"There was nothing we can do at this point" she sighed, "I know this
was my mistake."
While Zadar and Raavi Were reprimanding Jessica outside their gate,
Ron sat there in silence on the chair nearby. He was somewhat far
from them, quietly sitting in his chair.
"I said ; It's Not her Fault, She doesn't have superhuman strength like
we do; all she has are her senses" said Ron " I get that she should've
tried harder, but how hard could she even try? She lacks the ability to
control lightning, teleport, or move quickly. She exerted all of her
powers and did her best. She has emotions as well, and she is also
saddened by Wade's passing. Do you know anything? We only heard
of the tragedy, but she Saw the death of her loved ones in Front of her
eyes. Has anyone here seen it? In my opinion, no. Because Jessica Was
much closer to Wade than any of us, wade liked to spend time with
her, more than any of us"
Wade now enters the picture, where he and Richard are standing in a
large field surrounded by trees and two horses, one for each. Richard
was standing next to his black horse, which he liked to call "Bob," and
Wade was standing next to his brown horse, Daisy was also seated
behind them on a smooth-textured, pine wood stool. Richard and
Wade both mounted the steed. placed their legs on the saddle and
exchanged glances.
The question "Do you know how to ride a horse?" Richard enquired
2
Wandering Beast
The horse began to run as soon as he struck it with the small whip.
Just after Wade did that, Richard followed suit, but since his horse
was moving faster, he soon came up to and passed Wade's horse.
Wade smacked the horse harder this time, but the animal abruptly
came to a stop. Wade struck the horse's neck hard with his torso,
which caused momentum that caused him to fall off the mount.
He said while lying stupidly, "Well, that was unexpected." on the turf
"U sure?"
2 weeks have passed. And Wade was having a blast down there! He
even learned that Daisy had been trained as a battle doctor. Her father
Life Downhill
had taught her to restrain herself from using her supernatural abilities
while still providing aid to others because they were enigmatically
harmful. Wade was unaware of her abilities, but she was aware of her
relative strength. Bond Wade and Richard resembled a father and a
son to one another! Daisy, however, didn't want a sibling. She was
preparing something quite different at the time.
Richard might not have had special abilities, but he did have a quality
that many others lacked: the fortitude to triumph in the face of
overwhelming difficulties.
Daisy was a young woman who seemed to be hiding a force that was
just ready to be released.
Many were drawn to her because of her calm strength and modesty,
which only served to increase her allure. She was a formidable
opponent, but what made her truly alluring were her good disposition
and kind heart. However, the enigma behind her abilities remained
unanswered. While some thought it was just her luck, others thought
it was some sort of black magic.
2
Wandering Beast
Daisy went to see Richard & Wade again, one day because they were
now cohabiting. She banged on the side of the door frame because
there was no door and they were sitting across from each other on
stools with a round wood table in the middle.
"Dad, you aren't drunk are ya?" She demanded while stepping in,
"Ok, DAD! WADE! You guys are DRUNK!" She said in an angrily
annoyed tone
"Re'lly? App-le ju'ce con'tan no ak'lo'hol, doess it?" Wade spoke again
She then gathered all the bottles off the table and put them in the
trash. hurriedly approached the door to bring her suitcase inside. She
hauled her bag inside, took out two injections, and filled them from a
tiny glass bottle with a blue liquid. She opened the needle's cap and
used it to inject both of them.
"I'm six feet and eleven inches tall; why?" Wade answered.
Wade remarked, "I will never trust you for food, old man."
"All right, now that you both are awake, I was here to pick up Wade.
Now that exactly 15 days have passed, as you promised, it's my turn to
take care of wade" She addressed Richard.
"It's not like that, you say. We just want to take care of you equally,"
she retorted. "For you to decide, where do you find it more
comfortable."
2
Wandering Beast
"Goodbye? Why are you so certain that I will feel better at ease
there?" Wade queried
Richard grinned, "I'll let you break that out on your own."
Daisy threw the injections in the trash and put the liquid back in the
bag before they both exited the hut with the bag in hand. They
travelled for a long time before finding a woodland with a roof. The
destination was on the other side of the woodland.
eventually faded away, and then Jessica appeared. It was her first ever
crush.
Wade came to the realisation that his newfound family members were
actually lost. They believed Wade had passed away, and the more he
thought about it, the more hurt he felt. They grasp the fact Wade is
dead and that he most likely won't see them again in his lifetime.
"So why don't you tell me more about the people you met before
falling off the cliff?" Daisy inquired
"Stop messing with me" He smiled in sarcasm, "then was Raavi, she
was like a sister to me. And then ron, he was kinda weird but still a
trustworthy guy."
2
Wandering Beast
"Ok, so let me get this straight," She said with a bit of hesitation,
"you're not gay, yo - you're cute, and you don't have a girlfriend?" She
said while not looking at him.
He turned to look at her in surprise, just to find out that she wasn't
even looking at her. Aware of his gaze, she was too shy to look at him
in the eyes. She pushed a dangling lock of hair behind her ear, while
Blushing
'You are! You are the cutest person i know!' She wanted to say, but
didn't. It had been several years, since she had called someone cute.
Last time she called someone cute was her mom, before the night she
passed away.
"I - I mean, everyone's cute and attractive in some way" Daisy said
It felt like that a sandcastle, made with hardwork in the burning sun,
containing lots of hope, was destroyed by a blow of the ocean. He
thought that daisy had a crush on him. But it wasn't the case. At least
that's what he thought.
Life Downhill
Before they could talk further, they were already at her place. He
looked at the the large old bunglow. Plants and algae grown on the
walk and the slanted roof. With no terrace, the roof looked like it
could fall any time. The walls looked all abandoned. There was also a
turfed garden on the left side of the pathway leading to the main door
from the main gate. And regolithed Garden, on the right side of the
pathway. The pathway was made with polished white pebbles. And its
boundaries were made with grey concrete wall.
"How old?"
"Its from when, the asteroid didn't hit us. It was my dad's home. Now,
it's mine"
"Yup"
She opened the main gate which was made of copper and iron, it was
rusted, but it looked like it did the job. She dragged open the gate, as
ear Peircing sound stabbed wade's ears. Daisy was used to it, but wade
was pretty disturbed from the Screeching sound.
2
Wandering Beast
They walked through the smooth textured pebble pathway, filled with
small weeds and algae on several points near its border. He took a
look at the both sided gardens.
They reached the main door, she grabbed the rounded - Copper handle
on the wooden door. It seemed like it was attempted to break multiple
times, containing deep scratches, and burnt wood texture. She pushed
the door open. Although it seened to be an abandoned bunglow from
the outside, it looked like a modern laboratory filled with several
chamicals arranged on shelves on the wall beside the door. Several
vertical and horizontal containers were in the corners, like cabinets
and drawers. Filled with something which wasnt visible from the
outside but ut was easy to tell that they were filled with something
heavy.
There were also several tables lying around in the large room. The
tables contained atleast 3 chairs for one table. And all of them
contained different types of chemicals, microscopes, injections, and
medicines filled in glass containers of different sizes.
It was all lit with white LED's on the ceiling, and white soundproof
plates on the wall, and ceiling. With white, reflective tiles on the floor.
It was now easy to tell, why the house was holding on, instead of
falling in pieces.
Chapter Five
Way Of Life
Wade followed daisy, daisy was walking through the hallway upstairs,
it seemed like she was walking through a complex maze and she
somehow seemed to know exactly where to go. Wade walking just
behind her, he could see the hallway from above her head as daisy was
short enough to reach his shoulders. It wasn't like daisy was short, but
wade was tremendously tall.
Way Of Life
The hallway wasn't lit with LED's but instead, with yellow lamps on
the ceiling. The hallway was filled with cabinets on the right, and
three - four doors on the left.
She reached for the last door on the hallway, at the left. She grabbed
the iron rounded handle, and twisted it to the left. The door pushed
itself open. This door looked normal, unlike the main door.
He leaned forward and peeked inside. There was a wooden bed, along
with a wooden side - table with two drawers. And a green lamp with
two strings hanging out of it at its bottom was kept on the side table.
the bed, and hauled himself in a sleeping position. He was quite awake,
but needed some rest, as his head was hurting so bad, because of the
amount of alcohol consumed by him. And the screeching sound of the
main gate was still playing over and over again in his head. He was
also recalling the worst moments of his life, like a normal person
always would. He thought of the time "when he was little and his
friend....." "When fell from the cliff, and lost all of his hope of
surviving" "When he fell from the horse's mount, and led stupidly on
the ground" "When he got drunk and thought it was apple juice, and
cracked some unfunny dad jokes."
"Wade?" She yelled in a familiar tone "Come down.. if you're not tired
enough"
The tone was a familiar one, wade heard her, and remembered his
mom, she always used to call him when he was very little, she used to
shout his name "Virat" In a soft - friendly tone, to wake him up. He
found a sense of comfort in her voice. He heard the same voice tone
again - after more than twenty years.
"Wade?" She yelled the same way again, "Are you coming or not?"
He got up in a hurry. Grabbed his katana and got out of the room, he
pulled the door from its handle and locked it. He walked through the
Way Of Life
hallway while trying to hang his katana on his belt. While climbing
down the stairs, he realised he forgot to wear his coat, which was
missing the gray straps, so it could slip off, any minute.
"Let's go, hunt some beasts! After all, I wanna see the Wandering
Blade in action" She replied
"Right now?"
"Yup!"
He finally stuck his sword in his belt, after several tries. He climbed
down the remaining 2 steps, and went behind her, she was opening the
front door with one hand, and she had a sniper rifle on her other hand.
She stepped on the white - pebbled Smooth - pathway, And walked
forward. He also followed her.
After closing the main gate, trying not to make the screeching sound.
They walked several meters, trying to find a beast. They found a beast
in the distance, sleeping in its native size, and not super large. It was a
Brown kangaroo, it was hard to tell its powers, but from its
movements, it seemed like it could do karate. And wade as a master of
hand - to - hand combat, and close - combat.
Wandering Beast
She grinned as she couldn't figure out, what he was trying to say,
could he be mocking?, could he be serious?, could he be joking?, it was
hard to tell by his evil smile that he was joking. He could be mocking,
but according to daisy, wade might be a serious minded person as he
never joked. At least when daisy was around.
He ran towards the kangaroo with his katana aimed towards the
kangaroo. He was getting closer, and closer every second, but the
kangaroo didn't seem to care enough as it didn't even flinch.
When wade got close enough, that he could just extend his hand from
the elbow to stab the kangroo, right away. But the kangaroo was a
tough one, it didn't even flinch, and jumped from its native position.
He stepped one leg on the blade, but wade didn't feel any weight as the
kangaroo was an expert fighter, as it was its power, at least that's
what it seemed like.
It pulled back its leg back from the blade and kicked wade at the back
of his head. The katana slipped from wade's hand. and he fell on his
knees, as the kangaroo softly landed its feet on the turf. Wade moved
his eyes on the left, without his head as it was hurting really bad from
the kick, trying to look behind. Just to find out that the kangaroo was
now after daisy.
Way Of Life
The kangaroo jumped on daisy, it scared the shit out of daisy, that she
wasn't even Able to move even an inch. The kangaroo hit her forehead
with its two lower limbs. And swiftly landed back.
This lit wade's anger. 'No one should be hurt even a bit, in my
presence' he thought. He was a responsible beast hunter. He was a
rogue who didn't belong from Spoll, but he thought of hunting beasts
as a duty and made it fun for himself, to do it most efficiently.
Wade slowly stood back up on his knees and grabbed his katana's grip,
tightly. He turned to the kangaroo. The kangaroo's eyes expanded as
it saw wade's left eye, which started flickering. The kangaroo leaned
backwards, after being scared a little bit, because it saw the evil look of
wade. It seemed like there was a demon inside wade, which was
waiting to be unleashed.
Wade pulled out the sword, and jerked behind. Just to find out, that
the kangaroo was unconscious.
Wandering Beast
"Ohh"
Wade again turned to look at the deer, and he saw that the deer wasn't
fully unconscious, it was trying to lift up its eyelids. Its eyelids seemed
as heavy as a car for it. Wade pulled his katana again and slowly
reached for the kangaroo, lying on its back.
He dragged his sword on the kangaroo's belly and stabbed it. The
kanagroo didn't scream at all, like other beasts. Instead it made a face
which seemed like it was smiling. Wade felt like a monster, as he
didn't wish to kill the deer but he had to.
Daisy noticed wade's right eye. It was normal, but the scar across his
right eye, seemed to glow in blue color. She was confused at first,
because she didn't know where the scar was from, and why did it start
pulsing in blue color for just two seconds.
Way Of Life
Wade pulled back his sword as the beast got absorbed in the the
sword. He turned to daisy and started walking towards her, while
dragging his katana back into its scabbard.
"So," He said while walking with his hands inside his pocket, "Is
there Any way i can get to the other side of the Serpentine Cliffs?"
"How?"
"You see, there are mul -" She hesitated, "wait, why do you want to go
back?"
"Yeah, but i don't want them to think that until i'm actually dead"
"I understand, but...." She continued after a pause, "don't you wanna
stay here with m - us?"
"I do, but u also wanna stay with my friends on the other side."
Wandering Beast
"Okay, forget it. Continue telling me about your friends on the other
side of the Serpentine Cliffs"
"Ohh"
"Yeah, and there was only one person left to talk about."
"I know right, not just the name but the person herself is also cool"
"Really?"
"Yeah 'cause she was the first one of that group, whom i met" He
looked towards the sky, "It was like love at first sight"
"I ain't messing with you. I just wanted to know why you were angry"
"I told you it wasn't about your Crush" She made the same face again
while ending the sentence.
He figured out it was about jessica and about her being his crush, he
couldn't figure out the reason behind it, but he knew it was about
jessica for sure.
"You see - We can't live alone, we always need someone. And i don't
have a dad like you: to love. I have to find someone else. This is
the Way Of Life: being with someone you can love, and trusting
someone with your heart that they will be with you - your entire life.
What is wrong if i like someone?"
Way Of Life
She knew that he had figured it out, even if she didn't want him to.
"Everything"
"Why?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, i didn't want to tell you this way. But it's true"
"Why didn't you want to tell me that? As i said it's the Way of Life: its
okay to like someone"
"Yup!"
"I've been waiting to tell you this, from the moment i saw you! You
were lying on Richard's bed. And i was so happy after finding out that
you have no girlfriend"
"I don't think i'm strong enough to convey my feelings to jessica, and
it's not like i hate you"
"So... "
Wandering Beast
She couldn't unhear the words. They returned after the sunset, wade
once again had to suffer from the main gate's screeching sound. Wade
went his room, freshened himself up, and laid down on the bed.
Meanwhile daisy chaged to her nightdress, which was blue colored
shirt and a blue colored pajama, both with different kinds if flower
drawn on them. She also laid herself down on the bed. But she couldn't
fall asleep, as wade's words were still playing again and again in her
head. 'I think diverting my mind to something else would help me fall
asleep' she thought, but it wasn't as easy as she thought.
Wade's room's door slowly opened while emitting a faint shriek. Wade
was happy with the gentle, soft sound and relieved that it wasn't
producing the main gate's ear-piercing, high screaming noise. Wade
moved outdoors in silence. and carefully shut the gate behind him
while attempting to minimise noise.
Rats had nibbled on the bottom and the borders of his coat, which he
was wearing as he strolled softly through the corridor. 'Thank God,'
he thought, 'they didn't eat the whole coat. or at least they didn't try
to.'
He climbed downstairs, just to find out, That daisy's laboratory was lit
with the LEDs and it looked like someone was there, just a minute
ago. He looked around and found out that the main door was open.
And there was some yellow light comming from outside. The curiosity
Way Of Life
teared his chest apart. He had to see where the light was comming
from.
It was dark outside, as it was 2 AM. But there was a yellow light
comming from the Regolithed garden on the right side of the
pathway. He peeked out, ready to fight, with his hand on his katana's
grip. He leaned forward and peeked out of the door towards the light
source, but immediately loosened his katana grip and stepped out, as
he realise it was a campfire. With one log beside the fire and the fire
was right in the middle of the garden.
Daisy, in her blue - flower patterned - Night dress was sitting there on
the log. With a book in her lap, and a blue pen in her hand, along with
some small piles of paper lying on the ground and the log. It felt like
she was doing some sort of calculation.
He slowly approached her, put his hand on her left shoulder. She
couldn't see him comming as she was sitting on the wall, facing the
opposite way from the pebble pathway. She turned to look at him, she
was surprised that he was wearing his coat and had his katana with
him. She had so many questions in her mind 'why are you awake?',
'why do you have a sword on you?', 'were you sure when you said
"yeah. I'll be yours"?' But she could only ask one at a moment.
"Why are you awake, so late?" She finally asked after gazing at him
for about two seconds
Wandering Beast
"I couldn't fall asleep, i thought of having a walk, then i found you
here. So i thought of asking what you were here doing so late?" He
replied shortly
"Ohh, i see"
"Ohh." She continued after a pause, "i know its a stupid question... But
were you actually sure? When you said Yeah. I'll be yours?" She tried to
mimic his voice.
"Hell yeah, i was" He said while lifting the pile of paper on the log and
putting it on the ground before sitting on it.
"No, but -" She was going to complete the sentence 'no, but if you like
her, its okay, i don't wanna force you to love me' but was interrupted
by wade
Way Of Life
She looked at him. It was unusual, she never had a person sleep in her
lap, abd also it was her crush. She got flustered and blushing at the
same time. She didn't know what to do. She was in the same situation,
wade was when jessica hugged him. But from daisy's point if view. She
put her pen aside, but didn't know where to put her hands. She always
used to keep her hands in her lap while sitting, but where could she fit
her hands in her lap when there was the head if wade resting on it. She
put one hand on the small portion of her lap above wade's head and
decided to pet her other hand behind her back, supporting her, by
pushing at the log.
"I don't think there's nothing left to know about that old man" She
replied while deciding wether to look at wade, campfire, or the sky.
"Yeah"
"Why would someone wear formal office clothes during Beast Hunter
Selection?" Another random ass dude muttered in background
"Waiting Room" Was written on the front side of the door, which
Richard pushed open. The room was pretty tremendous, it could easily
fit four trucks horizontally. There were several sofas lying around in
each corner. And another black wooden door which contained a steel
plate with the text: "Selection Room"
The Old Man’s Prime
Other than that, there were some decorations like clay elephants and
candle statues on the shelves fitted on every wall randomly, without a
pattern. And there were also some round coffee tables near the sofas.
"And what is your name, mr-er-?" Someone sitting beside him asked.
"Meet my friends, Abdul : He has the power to control Fire. Ron : with
power to control Water. Jake : With the power to control the land.
And i have the power to control metals" Mike said
"Then, you guys must be the most powerful ones!" Richard replied
"What the fuck do you think you're doing here then?" Ron said
"What do you mean? I'm here for the Beast Hunter Selection."
Richard said calmly
The Old Man’s Prime
"What a sucker! You think you can qualify as a Beast Hunter with no
powers?" Ron Said
"Richard Mellester" The little black speaker above the Selection Room
Door Spoke.
Richard stood up from the sofa, and grabbed his stick. He reached for
the aluminum Door knob and twisted it to the right. The door
unlocked, and pushed itself open. Richard let go of the knob and
stepped inside. The door seemed to slowly close on itself so Richard
didn't try to close the door behind him, but instead walked forward to
the table where a man was sitting. He had a little plant in the corner of
the table and several thick files piled upon each other at the opposite
corner of the table. He pulled a paper form, from the pile of paper
forms, just beside the plastic plant pot. He gently placed the empty
form on the table.
Wandering Beast
"Then, what in the fuck are you doing here?" He said angrily
"I'm here for the Beast Hunter Selection" Richard replied calmly
despite wanting to beat the shit out of him.
"I said" He interrupted, "get the Fuck outta here!" He said less loudly.
The Old Man’s Prime
Richard wanted to prove his ability to smash the beasts to their pulp.
But he couldn't as he couldn't raise his voice in front of the Beast
Hunter Selection Manager.
He looked down at his feet, and turned around to exit the room from
the same door, he pulled from the door knob, and the door pulled itself
open. The door was dead calm, it didn't make any noise, as if it was
oiled just a minute ago. He stepped outside and was going to leave. 'I
think those powerful guys i met earlier were right, i can't qualify as a
beast hunter. I have no powers' his hope was shattered like glass. He
wanted to cry out loud : not because he couldn't qualify but because he
was disrespected both in the waiting room and the selection room.
He lost all his hope of becoming a beast hunter and he couldn't make a
beautiful world for his four year old daughter. It wasn't like he
couldn't create a joyful world for his daughter without becoming a
beast hunter, but he wanted her daughter to think that her dad was an
actual superhero : without a cape, or powers.
"It's alright if you don't get selected, you can still be a beast hunter.
Come with us" Abdul said while standing up with his friends
After reaching a bit farther than the organization, they took a break
near the ocean. They talked about each other and became good friends.
After just about a week, they were so close to each other that they
would go to each other's home and sit there talking about their day for
literal hours.
Miko and daisy were also in close touch with all of them. Only mike
and Richard were the married ones from the group as they were the
eldest. Ron, jake, and Abdul were in their thirties when mike was forty
and Richard was forty five. But one day everything changed. When a
man stamped a paper with the Beast Hunter Organization's bounty
Stamp
The Old Man’s Prime
Wandering Beast
At night, richard reached for the door knob of the main door of his
house. He pushed the door open, and stepped in. The main hall's lights
were switched off, and so were the lights of daisy's room. He got into
his room, where his wife : Miko was sitting on the bed, looking at the
Bounty poster Richard of Richard.
Her eyes started to water, her lower jaw started trembling a little bit.
"why didn't you tell me?" She cried again, while pointing at a jute bag,
lying around in the corner.
"I was going to tell you. I didn't know you'd find it out before i did"
He said in a convincing voice
She hauled herself in a standing position. And raised her hand and put
it on his shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, but i'll have to leave you and daisy. I have no other
option" He cried
Richard gently lifted his arms, got close to her, and wrapped her in the
warm embrace of his arms. She had no other option but to hug back.
"It is, 'cause if i don't, the bounty hunters will kill you too! I don't want
you to be in danger." He said while loosening his arms.
"I'm sorry. I was the one who advised you to join the Beast Hunters. I
shouldn't have done that."
"It's not your fault, i was the one who decided to hunt beasts even
after i was rejected to be a Beast Hunter"
He lifted the jute bag on his shoulders and went near the door.
"I am leaving you with daisy, take care of her, and raise her well."
Richard started
They started to climb the mountain in the late morning. They climbed
through the natural terrain, and followed jake, as he was pretty good
at this type of thing. They followed him to the summit of the
mountain they were climbing. They finally reached the top, near the
cliff : at around five thirty in the evening.
They got near the cliff, and watched the scene. It looked like the world
had ended there. It was a bluish white fog beneath the edge of the cliff.
It was hard to believe that there was land, and people on the other
side.
The Old Man’s Prime
Richard moved near the edge, and leaned forward to take a better look
below. But the unexpected happened. A blow of fire pushed him at the
edge, he started to slip from the edge, he turned to look behind before
he lost the balance of his feet. He looked : The fire blow was created
by Abdul, and he was reaching for him.
Abdul Grabbed Richard's Neck. There was no one around. Mike was
going back, and Jake was looking at the bounty poster near the tree,
and Ron was with Mike. None of them seemed to know about abdul's
betrayal. Abdul Betrayed Richard.
Nobody was there to know that Abdul was a mole, and had
overflowing lust for money, and was ready to sacrifice Richard for it.
Richard was hanging on the cliff with just abdul's hand holding his
neck. He was struggling to get his hand off him, but if he succeeded,
he would fall to his death, he also knew it.
'I don't care if i die, 'cause there's no other option than dying. I shall
kill him also!' He thought. He was super angry at abdul for the
betrayal.
Jake, and Ron looked at Abdul and Richard with the corners of their
eyes and smiled. They shortly looked back. They were all working
together to kill richard and get the money. They even agreed to be his
friends because they knew that rejected beast hunters get bounty on
them if they continue hunting beasts after being rejected. And they
Wandering Beast
were planning to kill him from the day they met. But not mike, he
didn't want to kill richard but just wanted to be friends with him.
Mike heard the voice of abdul, while heading back. The word 'mole'
struck him. He swiftly turned back and ran towards them. He
launched several metal spikes at abdul as soon as he got near enough
to see the scene clearly. But the spikes melted before they reached
abdul. He again smiled while looking back over his shoulder. He saw
mike. He was afraid mike could stop him, so he had to be quick.
He was just going to turn towards richard again, but richard hit the
palm of his hand on abdul's elbow which loosened abdul's grip and
before he fell further, he stuck his other palm at Abdul's neck. This
was the last thing mike saw richard do before he fell in the bluish
white fog. Mike didn't even look at abdul, but jumped after richard.
Jake ran to abdul and ron ran towards the edge to look below.
"He killed abdul with just a blow of his Fist!" Jake told ron
"Whatever, you wanna split the money or something or i keep it?" Ron
replied calmly
The Old Man’s Prime
Jake didn't seem to care about Richard but he did care about his
friends Abdul and Mike. Meanwhile Ron seemed just greedy for
money.
Richard was still falling at what seemed like an infinite Void. But
suddenly something wrapped around his hand, he opened his eyes in
order to see what that was. It was a metal pipe, wrapped around his
fist like a rope. He suddenly struck him
His vision got clearer as he came to a sudden stop, and the metal
wrapped on his arm broke his fall. Mike was hanging on a metal pipe
which seemed to grow from the mountain. Of course it was there
because of mike.
Mike didn't know what to reply with so he slowly put Richard down
on the ground. And also launched himself from the pipe to the ground.
All the metal disappeared.
"Yeah" Richard replied, "let's go to that village, they might help us"
Wandering Beast
"Are you stupid?" Mike said, "they might also have all the bounty
posters, you don't wanna go to anyone. Just live by yourself dude"
"Okay" Mike replied, "let's make this simple, i don't wanna give you
false hope. I am going back to Shlogan Civilization. From
the Shelgar Village Bridge. I have a family waiting for me.
And i can't leave them"
"I understand," Richard said while looking down at his feet, "Thanks
For Everything"
"Mike left, and richard was all by himself. Since that day, he has been
living here." Daisy Finished.
She lifted the whole pad, with all the papers and wade's head, and got
up. She put everything back on the log, carefully. So that wade doesn't
wake up.
'It would be rude to just fall asleep in my room, and leave wade alone
here.'she thought.
The Old Man’s Prime
She got inside the lab and climbed the stairs, she reached her room.
And brought her blanket and pillow near the fire. The fire
extinguished itself due to wind by the time she returned. She set her
blanket on the ground and slept on hit with her pillow, just beside the
wade's log.
After a while, she suddenly opened her eyes and jerked her head
towards the main gate, it was unusual. It seemed like someone had
entered it. She immediately hauled herself in a standing position, and
walked towards the Gate, as her Eyes Adjusted to the dark,
She saw that the door wasn't locked. She remembered that she didn't
lock it when she and wade came back from the hunt. She locked the
gate, and walked towards her blanket. She hesitated a bit but she
couldn't stop herself from touching his scar on his right eye. She
touched it, it was rough. It didn't seem like a thin scar. The scar
evenly expanded a little bit when it got near the eye. The scar had a
texture kinda the same as sandpaper.
She was waiting for him to wake up and say 'What u doin?', but that
didn't happen. He was deeply asleep, and didn't want to wake up. She
felt that she shouldn't have touched that scar. She hauled herself in a
sleeping position, and fell asleep.
The Next day, wade's eyes grew wide because of the golden sun rays
falling on his face. He looked around and realised : 'shit, i must've slept
oh daisy's lap'. He quickly hauled in a sitting position, and looked
around. G
Wandering Beast
He swiftly stood up, and looked at the door, it was open. He walked
inside but it didn't seem like there would be anyone in the lab as all
the lights were turned off, the slight yellow light was shining from
upstairs. He climbed the stairs, it was the hallway lamp. He walked
past several doors before he reached the door of his room, he twisted
the door knob and stepped in, as the door slowly pushed itself open.
He looked around, but there didn't seem to be any evidence of human
activity in that room. It was just the same as when he left it last time.
He stepped backwards and pulled the door shut. He walked towards
the stairs until he reached the first door of the hallway.
He knocked on the door with his knuckles. And waited for the reply
'Who's There?'. But instead was Face-planted by the reply :
"Come in"
"Why don't you tell me about that scar on your eye?" She started
while standing up
The Old Man’s Prime
"Yeah, 'bout that...." Wade started, while sitting beside her, on the
bed. "My parents died when the Asteroid hit earth, i was just two. My
friend's father survived though, he adopted me and another girl whose
parents also died. Me, and Jiya were the ones that were adopted by
him. And we had a pretty good bond with the man's son: Jack..... "
Chapter Seven
The Wandering Beast
Randy stood up from the bed and stepped out of a small house, mostly
made up of wood. It was just concrete and wood. The house was in
village. That village wasn't located in Spoll, but instead in Asia. It was
so small that no maps recognised it as a place where people could live.
The village was abandoned and very few people lived there. Only
about five to six. The Asteroid fell just several kilometres away from
the village, which was the actual cause of the massacre of the village.
He had a tremendously large - empty ground beside his house.
The Wandering Beast
He exited the house and entered the ground. Where Virat, Jiya and
Jack were talking to each other.
Randy got near them. The children were not very little anymore.
"I can't believe : how much you guys have grown" Randy Said
"It's the last day of our training, remember?" jiya softly added
"I am going to help stray animals, and give them shelter so that
people don't mistake them for beasts" Jiya replied
"That's good" Randy said, "you guys remember the asteroid which fell
near the village? I found an amazing ore in it! That ore absorbs all the
energy it comes in contact with!"
"Yeah. And i don't have enough of that metal so i will only be able to
forge five weapons from it" Randy said while looking at the katana
tied on his waist belt.
"I have forged five weapons, which are:" He said while looking back at
the kids, "Absorbant Sword", he tapped on the gilt of the katana,
"Absorbant Axe, Absorbant Spear, Absorbant Hammer, and
Absorbant Dagger."
"Of course not, you guys aren't mature enough" Randy smiled
"Okay" Randy Finally agreed, "I'll give it to you. But don't unsheath
the sword. or else.."
Virat was staying silent, during this whole conversation, his only
focus was on jack. Jack and Virat didn't like each other, even if they
pretended to. Just to satisfy Randy, they were talking to each other
like cassual friends. They could never get themselves to love each
other, and accept their friendship. Jack was always jealous of virat
because no matter what he tried: he always failed against virat. Jack
was very powerful but he could never compete against virat.
Randy's son, jack was a gabriel's decendant. Not by blood, but he had
Almighty knowledge, or the knowledge of Gabriel. Gabriel possessed
Almighty knowledge. So did jack. When Gabriel died, his main ten
powers got divided in ten people. Others got his side abilities while
the ten people got his main ones. Jiya, virat and jack were three of
them. Jack had gabriel's knowledge. Jiya had gabriel's arm. And virat
had gabriel's eyes
"I believe : that virat is the most mentally mature amongst all of you.
Therefore i shall give my absorbant sword to him, for him to possess
this power." Randy declared while handing him, the sword.
"That's my Pleasure" Virat spoke, while grabbing the sword with one
hand on it's gilt and the other on it's sheath.
This made jack even more jealous. 'How can he be proud of a stray boy
he adopted, and not his own son!' Jack thought.
"When combined with your eye," Randy told virat, "this sword would
me tremendously powerful. As one of the gabriel's eye ability is that:
you can store literal beasts inside your eyes when you absorb them. A
normal person wouldn't be able to weild such weapon without such
power." Randy turned to jack, "You might be aware of that, Jack."
"Yup"
Jiya was just there thinking about: 'animals, why people like to eat
them. Why don't people, just become vegan. Animals are the
important parts of nature. I would never eat a dead animal! What
monsters would eat meat. Why do people even eat meat, knowing that
where it comes from.'
"Okay virat, don't hand it to anyone else. They might not be able to
possess the sword's power. Keep it in safe hands."Randy said while
walking backwards and maintaining eye contact with virat, "I'mma be
right back"
Randy went inside the House, and left the kids in the ground.
"Gimme that damn sword, bastard" Jack said while trying to get a
grip on the sword.
"I don't like to repeat my words" Jack said angrily while looking at
virat.
This sentence lit Jack's anger, he was resisting and fighting his urge
to fight with virat since he was given the sword. He dragged his leg
and kicked virat's knee, which made virat kneel down in his knees.
Before even virat could look up, and punch landed on virat's face. The
punch was as strong as concrete and was hit with a firce of thousand
Wandering Beast
Virat didn't hesitate but punched him back in the face. Although jack
dodged it, and punched virat in the stomach. Virat felt like a ten ton
hydrolic press had punched his stomach. Virat had the sword in one
hand which he couldn't let go, and he only had to fight with one hand.
He had no other option but to use his powers.
His eyes turned blue and displayed a symbol with three lines. The
three lines were of black color in his virbrant blue eyes, the lines were
arranged: all three of them originated from the pupil's centre and
extended towards three different directions.
His vision upgraded. He could now predict each and every move of
jack. He dodged all jack's upcoming punches, and threw his punch on
jake's jaw. Jake's tooth fell out as he looked down from the side, and
blood started flowing out of jake's mouth.
"I didn't want to do this" Wade sighed, "but you left me no choice"
The Wandering Beast
Wade had already hit jake's head with the bottom of the gilt of the
sword, and it didn't take long for jake to pass out immediately. Jake
was lying on the ground unconsciously.
She saw the compulsion and hope in his eyes whoch she didn't want to
break. Both wade and jiya were waiting for randy to come out of the
house, but he never did. They waited for too long. The sun started to
settle down, and coulds turned into hues of orange and yellow, but
randy didn't come out of the house. The kids didn't have the audacity
to step inside Randy's househouse as they knocked out his son, and he
still hasn't woken up.
"We've gotta see inside the house! Because what are we gonna do if he
doesn't come out until tomorrow morning?" Jiya told virat
"You're right. Let's take the risk" Wade said before he started walking
towards the house.
Wandering Beast
Jiya made a slow run to catch up, and they both went near the door.
He knocked on the door and leaned forward, while putting his ear on
the door, to clearly hear what is going on, inside. It was now slowly
turning dark, and as always, the lights of the houses where people
lived: turned on. Leaving some abandoned houses in shadows. The sun
was now completely hiding under the blanket of the terrain. And
moon started to shine bright on the sky, along with some stars. It was
early night, so not that much stars were visible, but the ones that
were: were the brightest ones.
Nothing but Silience was heard in reply of the knock. They both
turned to each other and wade pushed the door, but to their surprise,
the door wasn't locked and it smoothly slid open. They again turned
to each other in surprise. Wade stepped inside the house while
crouching a little bit, to make minimum noise. Jiya was following him
in similar manner. Again to their surprise, all the lights were turned
on, and everything seemed normal. Except Randy, lying on the
wooden floor, with a little puddle of blood around bis body, and a deep
- Horizontal incision on his neck: from where all the blood was
flowing out.
They both gasped, and backed. Their eyes were locked on randy's
body, and the only questions in their minds were "How?" And
"Why?". Wade walked forward towards the body, while getting
straight, as they both forgot to Uncrouch, and jiya also Uncrouched
when wade did. Both if them stared at the body for several minutes,
when suddenly a familiar voice was heard.
The Wandering Beast
"Jack.... " She continued with a pause, "it's not what it looks like"
"Oh, don't interfere jiya!" Jack said while shaking his head and giving
wade: an angry look, "I know exactly what's going on"
"Oh no, i ain't gonna fight" Jack said, "but i will take revenge!"
"Get the FUCK OUTTA HERE!" Jack yelled angrily, "how do you
even have the AUDACITY to show your face, right now?"
Wade didn't try anymore to convince jack, the truth; but he just gazed
down and left the house, in Silience. He walked out of the house from
the same entrance he entered, beside jack. Jack didn't even look at him,
as his eyes: holding a lot of tears, were locked on Randy's body.
After wade left the house, Jiya told jack, "We found uncle Randy's
dead body when we entered the house, and when we -" She stopped
Wandering Beast
suddenly with a gasp, as jack put his forefinger on his lips, saying,
"Shh"
Jack got near the body, and knelt down on his one knee, and dragged
his hand over Randy's eyes, and closed it. He then dragged the same
hand on Randy's neck, where the incision was.
Meanwhile wade had totally left the village, and was walking
restlessly without watching where he was going. He had walked so far
that his legs startes to tremble, and his stomach tightened because of
hunger, his throat was as dry as a desert, when he decided to finally
take a rest. When the sun was unwrapping the darkness of night by
flowing the golden sunlight on the earth, wade finally sat under a tree,
thinking about the incident again and again, and hiw jack wouldn't
even listen to him. All the misery wasn't Enough that he saw
something in distance, some kind of water body. He decided to go
towards it bit he was too tired. He decided he would visit it once he
recovered his strength to even walk.
Chapter Eight
He exited the tent and looked behind the tent: it was Jack. Jack was
giving Virat: an evil toothy grin.
The Lost Rival
Jack wasn't looking like he did before. He was giving off a different
scent and look. It was like someone had washed his brain with a sock:
wet with hair spray. Wade didn't even hesitate this time to activate his
Gabriel's Eyes and Point the sword towards him: ready to fight.
Just after activating his eyes, Wade realised that Jack had something
hiding inside him. It wasn't very clear. But something was roaming
around inside Jack's body. It wasn't his heart, but it was pulsing like
one. Wade was confused about what that was until he saw a black
flame on Jack's hand. He understood that Jack had used his knowledge
to learn black magic, and now was more powerful than him.
Jack learned black magic through his knowledge and now was an
excellent user of black magic. As he could memorise any spell he
wanted. On the other hand: Wade had mastered the use of an
absorbant Sword. He had been training and living alone to be able to
fight well and master the use of the sword. He had captured many
beasts inside his sword and learned to use their powers as well. Wade
was able to use the powers of any beast he had absorbed.
Jack made the black flame turn into a black fireball and threw it at
Wade, meanwhile, Wade was ready this time. He Struck against the
fireball with his sword's blade. The sword absorbed the ball. Jack's
eyes grew wide in fascination, his eyes were locked on the sword as he
Wandering Beast
threw multiple fireballs at once, but Wade already saw that coming, so
he dodged every single one. Wade generated the same fireball in his
hand and threw it at Jack. But Jack was prepared for the throw since
Wade absorbed it. Jack teleported behind Wade and generated a black
metal knife from his hand and launched his hand to stab him, but
Wade was quite aware of every move of Jack.
Wade attacked Jack with his sword aimed at his neck, as Jack was
close enough to be attacked by a close-range weapon. But Wade
stopped his hand when the blade was about to strike Jack's neck. Wade
turned around as if he knew that Jack was standing there. He was
fighting with a clone of Jack: this whole time.
Wade's sword had slipped from his hand when he fell, he had nothing
to protect himself, but his hands and skills. The clone was too fast for
Wade to even react to what he was doing. The clone again pulled a
The Lost Rival
black metal knife from his hand and ripped Wade's right eye. Before
Wade could even raise his hand to defend himself: the clone launched
his other hand, grabbed Wade's eye, and pulled it out of his body while
still grinning. Wade's hands finally reached the clone but before Wade
could touch him; the clone disappeared. Wade screamed in pain whilst
pushing his palm on his right eye which was missing: to prevent
further blood loss. He immediately stood up and saw that the clone
had teleported beside Jack and the clone handed him the eye. Jack
grabbed the eye and used the clone's knife to put a cut on his own eye.
Jack grabbed his eye and pulled it apart from his body. Wade's eye
grew wide in disgust, as his scream slowly turned into short-loud
breaths.
But it seemed like Jack wasn't feeling any pain at all. Jack then
dragged Wade's blue Gabriel eye, near his own slot of the eye where
he put the cut to remove his own one. And the eyes got sucked into
that slot with a visible force that seemed like some sort of black
smoke. Wade figured out with his other eye: that Jack used black
magic to instantly heal while keeping his eye near the slot, which
made the eye fit like it was always there.
"Thanks for the eye, mate." Jack smiled evilly, "I think leaving you in
such pain would be worse than killing you. And I prefer the worst!"
Jack teleported away while locking his eyes on Wade until the last of
his atoms: teleported. Wade gasped and grunted in pain, while he
stood up. He leaned down to grab his katana and used it as a support
to walk. He reached his tent and got inside to check the damage. He
Wandering Beast
looked around in the tent. He reached into his bag, pulled out a piece
of cloth, and tied it on his eye, to prevent blood from flowing out.
He grabbed his bag where he had stored all his stuff, the bag was
made up of large leaves tied together with some threads. It contained
some fruits, and some stone weapons, like a small wooden bow and a
bunch of arrows with pointy stones tied on sticks. The bunch of
arrows were tied together with a thread, barely holding it in place.
He lifted the bag on his shoulders and left the tent. He was lifting his
bag in one hand and the other hand was gripping his katana. He
reached the nearest hospital and asked for treatment. The hospitals
now had no lust for money, as most of things weren't available with
money now. The hospital provided free treatment to Wade and gave
him a new eye. They couldn't get rid of the scar on his eye, but he was
grateful that his eye had recovered. Although he couldn't activate his
Gabriel eye on the new eye implanted by the hospital.
And Jack couldn't deactivate Wade's Gabriel eye. Both of them had
one eye of Gabriel. With the same powers like seeing through things,
the instant recognition of anything they see, predicting the enemy's
moves, understanding what the other person is thinking,
understanding someone's true intentions, and knowing anyone's
powers just by glancing at someone.
After around six months, Wade fully recovered his eye and decided to
leave Asia. The hospital was near the seashore. When he got
The Lost Rival
"So you're telling me: that you're from a small island that no one
knows but still is home to over five hundred people?" Wade inquired
to the group
"Yeah, and it's cooler than you might think" A dude from the group
spoke
"Sure"
Wade jumped in the small boat after the group did. The boat was fully
made of wood, and there was a shining metal motor at one end of the
boat, with a metal fan attached to it. The group only had four people,
and the boat had a capacity of six people. Wade sat beside a guy who
was pulling the generator string. He pulled it several times before the
generator started and provided electric energy to the motor to turn
on. The motor turned on and they were off.
"How long will it probably take until we reach Spoll?" Wade inquired
"Probably like four to five hours," Someone from the group said
Wade was quite aware of Spoll. But he didn't know in detail and told
this group that he had no idea it existed, so they would tell him
everything about it. He wanted to go to the Beast Hunter
Organization, which was located in Spoll. And he wanted to qualify
as a beast hunter because that's what Randy wanted him to do. He was
training alone for two years, to be able to qualify as an Official Beast
Hunter. Just as expected, the group told Wade, everything
about Spoll, that he wanted to know; or should have known.
He entered the building and closed the door behind him. The whole
waiting room was empty. He went a bit forward and reached the door
with the text 'Selection Room' on the metal plate. He pushed the door
open and stepped inside while pushing the door shut behind him.
"Sixteen"
The man was going to ask him about his powers but didn't, as he
realised that Wade was sixteen and the minimum age for becoming a
Beast Hunter was Eighteen.
"I do, but there might be some qualifications, that I might be unaware
of." Wade replied calmly, "Please, enlighten me"
"Ohh, okay then. I will return after two more years, then" Wade said
"You can't. It's a one-way system. You can't apply again and again. If
you're rejected, you can't hunt beasts anymore" The man said
Wade stood up from the chair he sat on, and left the room. It didn't
take him long to exit the building. Wade was upset that he couldn't be
a beast hunter. And he was going to go back to Asia. But then he
remembered Uncle Randy's last wish: he wanted the sword to be held
Wandering Beast
I wanted to directly head towards the forest. But I went to the town
where I came from and bought some new clothes. It had been six
months since I had changed them. I bought a pair of new shoes, a pair
of black pants, a dark green shirt, and an amazing black overcoat with
grey straps and a fake ruby. After buying the clothes, I went to the
forest" Wade finished.
"Bro, I just asked you about your scar, why did you tell me the whole
story?" Daisy said
"Because you are one of the few people I trust," Wade replied
"Why do you easily trust strangers? Like it's not even been a month
since you met us" Daisy asked
The Lost Rival
"I don't, I just trust my eyes. Which tells me: whether to trust the
person or not." Wade replied, "Now, you know too much about me.
Tell me about yourself"
"I don't have that much time", Daisy also stood up after Wade did, "I'll
tell you on the way"
Wade stood, leaning against the wall beside the door, and folding his
hands on his chest. Soon After, she pulled the door and exited her
room. She turned around and locked her door; started walking
towards the stairs without even glancing at Wade. Wade, however,
followed her and went downstairs.
After locking several doors, she finally locked the main gate, and they
left towards the south.
"First: don't call me that," She said, "and second: you're annoying"
"Really?"
She hummed again, but while trying to not smile while she nodded.
"What did you just call me?" She said after she caught up with him
with a little jog.
"Okay, M'lady"
She sighed again before starting, "After Dad left us, the bounty
hunters didn't stop visiting us. They instead thought that we were
hiding Dad, by telling people that he was dead...
Chapter Nine
Petal O’ FlOwer
After he left us, he thought that the danger to us would also leave
with him. But it was quite the opposite. The bounty hunters kept
visiting us in the hope that someday we would get tired of them and
reveal that Dad was hiding with us. The visits were raining every
month. At least one bounty Hunter would visit us: asking where Dad
was.
"Open up, Richard. We know you're in there" they used to yell outside
the door
The whole town didn't accept us. Whenever Mon went to the market,
"Don't sell her anything! She's Richard's wife!" the shoppers used to
tell each other. Just in case they forgot.
We couldn't get supplies or even food. I don't know how we spent six
months; getting treated like criminals. The bounty was on my dad, but
we always felt like they were making us the victims.
But it all changed after Twelve years. The hunters didn't hold back for
long: they broke inside the house. My heart felt like it could stop
beating any second when I heard the loud voice of the shattering glass
of the window. Some Men had broken into our house.
But they didn't seem to listen and kept jumping in from the window. I
didn't dare to open the door of my room as I was scared because of the
screams, Mom made, "DON'T COME OUTSIDE, DAISY!"
I creaked the door slightly open for me to see what was going on
outside. Through the little gap between the door and the wall, I saw
outside where three men were ripping our curtains and sofas. They
didn't even leave the carpet.
"Give us Richard, and we'll not destroy any more of your shit," they
said while tearing things apart like our walk paintings, and carpets,
and even scraping our furniture with a wrench.
Wandering Beast
They kept the chaos going on until they found out that one of the tiles
underneath the carpet was an entrance to our Cellar. Mom had no
other option but to attack them. She ran inside the kitchen and
grabbed a long knife, and came back into the living room where the
men were scraping the tile with their wrenches. Mom didn't even
hesitate to attack them. She pulled her knife up and dragged it down
at them with so much force: Mom would've broken their skull if it was
a hammer.
But the men were no ordinary ones: they were from the Beast Hunter
Organization. They were highly trained bounty hunters. One of the
men glanced at Miko and saw that she was charging up an attack. The
man grabbed her wrist when the knife was about to hit him. And
grabbed her neck with his other hand. The man stood back up and
dragged her against the wall while tightening his grip on her wrist as
well as her neck. The knife slipped from her hand and fell on the
ground as she felt the vibrations of slavery and compulsiveness in her
feet. My feet started to tremble and my hands started to shiver, along
with my heart which was beating as fast as a bullet train.
Meanwhile, the other two men were still scraping the tile. They
finally managed to scrape it enough that the lock broke and the tile
was now openable, by the time the third man reached back at them.
The third man pulled the tile and it revealed a hole with a metal
ladder. It was pitch black inside the hole, but one of the men carried a
torch. The man with the torch went first and the other two men
followed him, down the ladder.
Miko Finally was able to stand up. She was barely able to walk. But
she managed to drag herself to me. She pushed the door open, and
Daisy backed, so that the door could be opened with ease. Mom
entered my room and grabbed my wrist, and started running towards
the window; I also followed her. In the blink of an eye, she had jumped
out of the window and was running while holding me. It was dark
outside, as it was nighttime.
The stars twinkled in the sky, and the moon shined at its peak. Unlike
normal nights, it wasn't a dark one; instead, it was a full moon night.
We reached the Sling Forest when we saw the slightest touch of the
golden sunrays hit the ground. I realised that the sun was going to
rise soon. Mom's legs finally gave up, and she fell to the ground. I
Wandering Beast
immediately braked myself and turned to her. Her legs were trembling
and her fingers were shivering
"Run away, Daisy," She said when she was barely able to speak.
I thought that we were far enough. Because the distance between the
forest and our town was so long. But I was immediately proved wrong
when I saw one of the three men coming toward us. I was so busy
trying to recover from the trauma, that I didn't notice he was
following us the whole time.
"I won't ask again. Where is Richard?" The man asked me angrily
head. I was too scared to look back and I couldn't even run that fast. I
saw a nearby cave inside the forest. I quickly slipped into the cave, but
the cave was more like a slide than a pathway.
After slipping for about ten minutes, I realised that I was in the centre
of the cave and I had to climb up to get out of it, no matter which way
I chose. I decided to not go back, as luckily remembered the way I
came through and climbed oppositely.
I could barely move with my numb hands and trembling feet. I came
too far to go back. I somehow pulled myself up and climbed the cave.
After finally seeing the light for the first time in two hours, my face lit
up in hope. I finally reached the top of the cave and exited it.
The other end of the cave was just beside a tremendous Cliff, and I
saw a town in the distance. I was pretty sure that the cliff
was Serpentine Cliffs, and the town was Pontel Village. I also saw a
small pond and a Hut made of hay and bamboo.
An old man exited the hut and filled his pot with water from the
nearby pond. I was scared to go near him as he could be a bounty
hunter but I wanted to drink some water from the pond. I rubbed my
hands on my clothes and went near the Pond slowly, giving enough
time for the old man to go back into the hut. After he went inside, I
quickly ran to the pond and sat on my knees. I filled some water in my
palm and washed my face. The water helped to get rid of my hand's
numbness. My feet had finally stopped shivering.
Wandering Beast
"Hey, Beautiful. What are you doing here?" The old man said from
behind.
"WHAT?" I asked
"I'm your daughter!" I said while I leaned forward to hug him. "I'm
Daisy! Remember me?"
His eyes grew wide. He pulled his arms across my back to hug me
with his shaking fingers.
After I met Dad, I wanted to live with him. I told him about Mom's
death. And just after a month, I was ultra uncomfortable at the hut. I
decided to live near Dad but not with Dad. After gathering some
money, I bought a piece of land and built my Lab along with some
rooms. I make portions, medicines, etcetera" Daisy Finished.
They were at the Shelgar Village. The gate and the pillars were made
out of andesite:carved with a glyph. And there was also a Talisman
Symbol on the gate which completed itself when the gate was closed.
But the gate was open. The giant walls seemed to be a perfect defence
against the beasts.
As they trudged along the dusty path, a sense of anticipation filled the
air. The sun-drenched village lay just beyond the bend, its secrets
veiled behind a tapestry of verdant foliage. A gentle breeze whispered
through the swaying branches, carrying with it the fragrant
symphony of wildflowers that adorned the countryside.
Wandering Beast
The sounds of life beckoned from every corner, as the villagers went
about their daily routines. Children's laughter echoed through the
narrow lanes, mingling with the rhythmic clatter of horse hooves on
cobblestone. A lively marketplace bustled with activity, its stalls
brimming with an assortment of vibrant produce, handcrafted wares,
and the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air.
As the traveller ventured deeper into the heart of the village, the
melody of a babbling brook grew louder, casting a serene spell upon
the surroundings. A small stone bridge arched over the crystal-clear
waters, inviting passersby to pause and admire the tranquil scene.
Time seemed to slow down as if nature herself whispered ancient
secrets to those willing to listen.
Petal O’ Flower
The village was buzzing with anticipation as the sun rose high in the
sky, casting a warm golden glow over the bustling scene. It was
market day, a vibrant affair that brought together villagers and
visitors from far and wide. The air was filled with a delightful
cacophony of voices, the rhythmic clattering of wagon wheels, and the
enticing aroma of freshly cooked delicacies that wafted through the
streets.
The sound of haggling filled the air as villagers and visitors eagerly
engaged in spirited negotiations. Lively conversations and laughter
reverberated off the nearby buildings, creating a jovial atmosphere.
Children ran through the crowds, their laughter mingling with the
melodies of wandering minstrels who strummed their instruments
with skilful fingers.
"Let's head towards the market, I wanna buy some things," She said
As the day progressed, the market reached its zenith. The crowd
thickened, and the pace quickened, as people jostled and maneuvered
through the throngs of eager shoppers. Bargains were struck, deals
were made, and the market echoed with the clinking of coins
exchanging hands.
Amid the lively chaos, food stalls offered respite and sustenance. The
sizzle of grilling meat mingled with the aroma of freshly baked bread
and bubbling stews. Hungry patrons gathered around tables, eagerly
devouring their meals, sharing stories, and savouring the flavours of
the village's culinary delights.
Daisy was going to stop at one of the fruit shops, but she didn't. She
saw a poster on the wall. Not one but several same posters lying on
Petal O’ Flower
Shelgar Market
this time she made sure she didn't get ignored by Wade, by saying
"Wade" in a low voice that only Wade could hear her. However Wade
was lost in his imagination: If a beast attacks this place, I would first
yell loudly to get everyone out of the place. Then I would pull my
Shelgar Market
sword and jump on the beast. If I'm not wrong, Beasts never team up;
so multiple beast attacks at once could end up destroying the beasts
instead of the place. It is partially impossible for beasts to come inside
because of the giant walls: but just in case that happens, I'll be
prepared for it.
it took him a while to process the words he heard from Daisy. By the
time he processed it, Daisy already had lifted herself on her toes; with
her lips exactly in front of his ears: ready to whisper something she
had been trying to whisper this whole time.
Wade however thought that she was calling him from behind: trying
to tell him to stop by a shop. He turned to look behind over his
shoulder; but to his astonishment: Daisy wasn't far behind, but right
beside him; in front of his ears: So close that she could easily lick his
ears but it was not what she was trying to do. As soon as Wade turned
head halfway, his head was brought to a halt by his lips: which were
going to touch her lips when she was about to open her mouth.
This time, she was about to trip. So she threw herself back on her
whole feet instead of just the toe tips. She couldn't believe that she
would have accidentally kissed Wade. it sent a chill through her spine.
Wade's eyes grew wide as he realized that he could have kissed her
accidentally if she didn't trip. Both of them were staring at each other,
'Thank God we didn't kiss' he thought. 'Were we actually about to
kiss?' She thought
Wandering Beast
The market was full of people minding their own business. But there
was one shop just beside them with no customers, and a dusty old
yellow pale cloth covering the top half of the shop which made people
think it was closed. But a mysterious man was sitting inside the shop.
The cloth hanging in the shop wasn't normal. It was a one-way cloth.
The mysterious person inside the shop could easily see what was
going on outside, but the people outside would have no clue what is
going on inside.
The man stared at Wade and Daisy who were still held in the position
of staring at each other. The man had a gray cloth covering his mouth
from nose down, and another cloth tied to his right eye. it was hard to
see who the man was, but it was quite clear that the man wasn't the
owner of the shop, as the owner was lying on the floor: in a puddle of
his blood.
"Finally found you!" the mysterious man said in a heavy, coarse voice
A wave of wind hit the place, and the cloth in the shop started waving
according to the pattern of the wind: which led to some sunlight inside
the shop. the golden gaze of the sun made his look even clearer: He
was wearing a black T-Shirt with a text printed on his left shoulder
reading "Official Beast Hunter", and pale yellow trousers. other than
that; nothing of the man was visible.
But it was quite clear that the man was in disguise. The man was
sitting in a four-legged wooden chair, with his knees supporting his

elbows, and his crossed palm supporting his chin. 'The market is full
of people he thought, 'I'll have to follow him'
"Did you find them?" The girl on the other side demanded
"Yeah. The market is full of people; I guess I'll have to follow them"
The mysterious man replied.
The man double-tapped the device to end the call with a sigh. Both
Wade and Daisy finally stopped staring at each other and walked
ahead together without saying a word. Wade was silent because he
had nothing to talk about, however, Daisy was still thinking about the
multiple outcomes of what could happen if she kept standing on her
toe tips.
"Here," She said before she grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.
"Yeah," He said, while crossing his arms on his chest, "Go on. I'll be
waiting here for ya"
Wandering Beast
"Okay," She said before she went near the stall, of fruits.
The market had no turf, only sand; because of the tremendous amount
of people walking there daily. The mysterious man exited the shop
with the one-way cloth. He went to the front of the shop and pulled
out the yellow cloth. He tied the yellow cloth on his head and neck to
only let one eye visible. Then, the man slowly walked towards Wade.
He didn't want to capture Wade until he was alone. 'I think this is the
right time' he thought, 'When he doesn't have that child around, I can
easily encapture Virat' he somehow seemed to know who Wade was.
The man pulled out a knife. It wasn't a normal one, it had a black
blade with blue glowing strips on the blade. He approached Wade and
pushed his knife on Wade's back. Wade Swiftly turned around while
pulling his sword: slightly grunting in pain. The sword was about to
hit the mysterious man's neck.
But the man pulled his hand up and blocked the blade with his
forearm. He was wearing something made of metal inside his loose
sleeve. The Sword was about to make sparkles but thankfully it didn't.
The people tried to jump at Wade together. But Wade Didn't let that
happen: He pulled his sword up in the sky and pushed it back down:
stabbing the sandy road.
The blade of the sword started pulsing some energy. A ring of fire
appeared around Wade at a distance. It seemed like the fire had
created a protective border around Wade. The flames of fire were
painted with the hues of orange and yellow. It was the same fire: The
Fire Fox Used; which was absorbed in Wade's Sword.
"Wait... " He said in a low voice, "w - Wa - was it... Him...? "
His anger was berried in his eyes and he didn't let it out or the whole
market would've burned. He didn't Wanna Fight These people, So he
relaxed his whole body while standing there: staring at Daisy.
"Let's Leave This Place," He Told Daisy who was standing there;
trying to blend in with the crowd.
It didn't take long for the people in the Crowd to realize that they can
wearily chase Wade now. He let go of her Wrist for her to be able to
move freely and run a bit faster. As they were Running: It felt like the
Noise of the Birds, People Yelling, And the hawkers: All Faded Away
and the only sound he could hear was the sound of his feet striking the
ground while running.
Finally, After Running For a while, they realized that the village was
too short in length: and they were already on the other side of the
Shelgar Market
Daisy brought her legs to a halt, and Wade also had to stop for her.
He looked back over his shoulder, She Bent Down Supporting her
straight hands with her bent knees: Breathing Heavily with her
shoulder moving up and down along with her breathing pattern.
"Why did you stop-" He said but was interrupted when his eyes
glanced behind her
"That's Right," She said while still breathing heavily, "We've Finally
Lost them."
"Since we left the Market." She replied when her breathing finally
became soft and she straightened her back.
"Are you gonna carry me on your back if I say no?" She joked
"If you want someone to carry you; Call your dada. Not me" He
replied mockingly
Wandering Beast
"Let's Head off, Then," He said before he started walking towards the
bridge.
She hurried after him to catch up with him. The destination was quite
far and it might even take days for them to reach the other side of the
bridge. When they started to walk slowly through the bridge: they
started to get kinda bored. Because they had nothing to talk about,
nothing to do except walk, and nothing to worry about as not many
people used the bridge to go to the other side of the village and mostly
preferred to stay on their side of the Village; not because they had
some sort of rivalry between the two sides but instead: the bridge was
way too long. And it wasn't even possible to see the other side from
one side. And once you reach the middle of the bridge: you might get
lost because you wouldn't be able to see either side; not because the
bridge was that much longer but because there was always fog to be
found on the whole bridge.
Unaware of anything about the bridge: they set off on their journey
through the bridge.
Chapter Eleven
Bounty king
The clouds were painted in hues of yellow and orange as the sun
started to set. The mask of darkness slowly covered the sky. Stars
started to twinkle in the sky. They slowly trudged through the bridge
while looking around, gazing at their feet, and talking about
conspiracy theories.
"There are many theories about the Slave Hills" She started
"I believe that the organization hides the people with bounty who are
encaptured alive"
"Ohh. I believe that they are hiding some powerful Beasts There"
"Bro, how can they hide beasts: if they are the one who likes to kill
them"
Bounty King
"Yeah. But why would they either hide the people with bounties if
they want them dead"
"Point"
"Right?”
"Nobody knows"
"You're right"
"Yeah so, Did you see a guy covering his face with a cloth stab me
before he shouted that I am the bounty guy?"
"Forget it already"
"But why?"
Wade turned around and removed his overcoat which was looking less
like an overcoat and more like a cape because the rats had completely
ruined it. He handed the coat to Daisy, which made her feel like a
servant despite being called "M'lady"
He started to open the buttons of his shirt. After opening the last
button, he pulled down his shirt and handed it to Daisy. He wasn't
wearing anything inside his shirt. He was still turned around so the
scar of the blade was visible. Daisy dragged his clothes in one hand
and took a better look at the scar by touching his back near the scar.
"What?" He asked
"What?"
"Yeah. And it's spreading through your veins right now. I don't think
I can determine the speed but you will be surely alive till tomorrow
noon. That's for sure"
Daisy saw his abs and was flabbergasted. Her eyes grew wide and her
cheeks turned red as she pushed her hand toward him: handing him
his clothes. He grabbed his shirt first and pushed his hands inside the
sleeves. He slid his shirt back in place and closed all buttons, grabbed
his overcoat and wore it.
"Yeah," She said as she didn't get the joke and thought he was being
ignorant
They Had finally reached Shelgar Village II, When the sun rose in
the sky, and covered all the stars and the moon in its golden gaze.
They didn't enter the village but went around it. They finally reached
the Border of hunters.
The place itself didn't seem like like what a border sounds like. It was
nothing but space. They strolled through the border and nothing
seemed to stop them. They didn't have to climb or break through
anything. They both were confused if they were even in the right
place.
Bounty King
Both glanced at each other while passing through the border. Nothing
seemed off. The only thing which was off was that nothing was off.
Everything seemed normal.
"Well... " He said "I guess it's not that bad after all"
"Yeah" She replied, "so I know a secret cave that leads to the other
side of the Serpentine Mountains, from the Sling Forest"
"Okay"
"So, you see... " She started, "I know how just a single piece of bounty
paper ruined my Dad's whole life and now he has to live in that hut"
"It's that we sneak into the headquarters and officially cancel the
bounty"
"I didn't know you were that stupid" She smiled even though she knew
he was joking
"Calm down"
Even though it looked like he was serious. But looking for expressions
in Wade's expressionless face was like finding a needle in a stack of
hay.
"Okay so, can you check if the poison has travelled further?" He asked
politely
"Yeah, sure."
Bounty King
He again removed his coat and shirt and turned around. This time He
put the shirt and the coat on the ground. She bent down to take a clear
look.
"What?" He asked
"It's a Slow Poison. It won't kill you today, but probably in this
month"
"WHAT!?"
"U sure?"
'How did the bounty hunters find me?' He thought, 'I was hidden
inside a hut. No one could even suspect that it would be me'
Wandering Beast
The Forest looked similar. He felt like he had seen the forest before
but didn't know which one it was. He walked a bit furthermore when
he saw a strange path. The forest was full of trees but there was a
strange unnatural path. It was black coloured.
It seemed like the path was made from ashes, and there were no trees
along the path. He turned the right side of the path: it seemed infinite.
Then he turned toward the left: it also seemed infinite but it was going
uphill. According to his experience, he was sure that the ashes were
from the trees. And the only thing which can burn, the trees of a
rainforest: was lightning. But how could lightning create such a
straight and perfect path?
she gasped in astonishment as she covered her mouth with her other
hand. She realized that she had accidentally hit a human instead of a
Beast. She broadened her hands to grab him. She carried him to her
Friends.
"Hey Guys, I found this poor old man in the forest," Jessica Told
Everyone
Bounty King
Zadar grabbed Richard and laid him down on the rough textured log.
Richard was so heavy that Zadar could still feel his weight for a
second after laying him down.
"Who's this young man?" Ron said trying to joke, but his sarcasm was
too advanced for anyone to understand
All the three stared at him, while only giving expressions with their
eyes: Ron understood that they were trying to say 'Are you Fucking
Serious, Right now?'. Instead of thinking that he embarrassed himself,
His dumbass thought that they had a broken sense of humour and
didn't understand the joke. And instead of saying 'Get it?', he just
replied with a toothy grin. Which made the three Cringe more at him
Ron Gazed at his feet, trying to control his laugh to save himself from
further scolding and get inside the house. He reached the small sofa
and threw himself on it
She Dragged her face near his, Narrowing her eyes with concern. She
gently raised her hand to Tap on Richard's Chest. She Tapped on his
Chest just two times and He woke up in a state of panic, experiencing
physical reactions like a racing heart, sweating and difficulty
breathing. She jerked back while gasping.
"What happened?"
"Okay" Zadar Started, "You were found Knocked out in the middle of
the forest by Jessica" He pointed towards her
Zadar dragged his gaze from Richard to Jessica. She looked at Zadar
and said
"Why didn't you think it was a good idea to tell me that you were the
one who knocked him out? I thought it was a Beast!" He said half
angrily and half disappointedly
"No, It's alright," Richard said, "She did it for self-defence. She
must've thought I was Beast"
Raavi came out of the house with a glass of water in her hand. Her
fingers were cold because of the temperature of the water. She handed
him the water. He grabbed the glass and took a sip from it.
"Shut up, Ron. Who told you to come out?" Zadar demanded, "And
you, Sir." he politely said, "You can trust us. Please tell us. What
happened? We won't harm you"
"Yeah!" Ron said, "We even gained the trust of The Wandering
Blade!"
"I never expected I had to do this but..." Ron explained, "Did is the
past tense of do and - "
"YEAH" Richard interrupted loudly, "I know what Did is," He said
calmly, "I meant that You should've said do instead of Did"
"He fell in my fucking house!" Richard replied, "And right now, he's
with Daisy. My daughter"
"I suggest, we should go in the forest for rest and preparation" Wade
suggested
They walked towards the Sling Forest. Now, It was turning night.
They slept on the ground: without any resources for food or Water.
But they didn't care at all because they were in a forest which had fruit
trees and might as well, have water. They were focused on executing
the Mission.
They stared at the sky and the forest while lying on the ground firmly
despite the beasts roaming around in the forest at night. He glanced at
the forest lay beneath a moonlit sky, its ancient trees reaching toward
the starry canopy. Shadows danced among the foliage. The air was
alive with the symphony of rustling leaves. A sense of inviting
Wandering Beast
Reunited
He again glanced at daisy who was lying on the ground like a dead
person, but Wade was sure she was alive because her stomach was
moving up and down which meant she was breathing. The Door slid
open and Ron stepped outside: stretching his hands in the air like he
had just woken up. His hairs seemed to curl on its own and his eyes
were heavier that an anvil. Dark circles were found under his eyes
because for some reason: he was awake whole night; Guarding Wade
and Daisy that they don't run away or someone doesn't harm them.
His eyes were as deep as a dark tunnel, with no ending. It was hard to
tell if he had just woken up or he had been awake all night.
"Yeah"
The Yell was so loud that Daisy also woke up gasping. She pressed
her hand against her chest to normalize her heart rate, and used her
other hand to stand up. After trembling a bit; she finally stood still on
Reunited
her legs: Rubbing one eye and scratching her elbow with her other
hand.
"Why is she so dumb?" Ron told Wade, "She really Thinks we can
listen to people's heigts"
Daisy tapped her palm on her head. She slowly dragged her hand
down on her cheeks: stretching them down and widening her eyes.
Wandering Beast
"And, Now she thinks she's invisible by putting a hand on her face"
Ron started jokingly
"I don't" She replied angrily, "can you please shut up?"
"No it's not enough!" Ron said, "You were supposed to be dead!"
"But I'm Alive!" Wade Exclaimed, "Why Are you not getting it?"
"Of course you are. You're standing right in front of me" He joked
Wade rolled his eyes with a sigh, and turned to the door. Zadar was
standing beside Richard with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Yeah. I also have no Idea" Wade replied, "but wait - How did you get
here?"
"So these are your friends you were talking about?" Daisy inquired
Wandering Beast
"Raavi Found you at the edge of the forest" Zadar explained, " She
teleported you here in the late night. We tried several methods to
wake you up but according to ron: it was normal to sleep this deeply
when you are tired. So we waited till you wake up, and told Ron to
guard you. Because you were too heave to be dragged inside"
"Okay" Wade replied, "Thank god I'm back here. By the way -
Where's Jessica?"
"She might be coming any minute" Zadar said, "She went in the forest
for some reason"
Zadar And Ron went in first. Raavi was right behind them to enter.
Raavi was going to enter after Ron and Zadar did, but was interrupted
by a shout.
Jessica saw wade from a distance. Her eyes started to water. Wade's
attention was instantly drawn toward her: who was running to him
from a distance; looking like a blue sapphire in a pale green tunnel,
coming towards him.
"You're Alive!"
Wandering Beast
She ran towards him with her arms swinging in the air. She wasn't
very slow: It only took her less than ten seconds to get to Wade after
she saw him. She broadened her Arms and Reached Wade.
Wade's eyes grew wide as Jessica Gripped him tightly by sliding her
arms under his. He was barely able to stop himself from spitting out
his drool. He was again found in the same situation as before: He
wasn't used to being held, but he again felt a strange sense of comfort
in her embrace.
She jerked towards Richard, She tried to avoid eye contact with Wade
and Jessica meanwhile Richard was staring right into their souls.
"I don't Know" Richard Replied, "But I know one thing for sure"
"WHAT?"
Richard remembered that Daisy also had a crush on wade but he had
no idea that Daisy was Wade's Girlfriend. On the other Hand - Unable
to find the right words, Wade simply lifted his hands, closed his eyes,
and wrapped her in the warm embrace of his arms.
Wandering Beast
"You know How much guilt I felt?" Jessica cried on his shoulder
She finally let go her grip, and pulled herself back, as Wade's arms
slipped from her shoulder. Wade Looked in her eyes: Her pupils
dilating like a sponge relaxing itself automatically after bring
squeezed. Her eyes were dry like dead bush but the feeling of
satisfaction flooded them.
His fingertips felt icy cold, and her embrace seemed like wrapping him
with a warm woolen jacket in a snowy place. When her arms slid back,
it felt like the jacket was torn apart and a chill of cold snow and wind
was sent up his skin.
Reunited
"it might seem like a overreaction to you but - " She said but was
interrupted by Wade cutting her sentence,
She was astonished, Wade completely understood what she was trying
to say without her even saying it. Meanwhile wade was once again
lost in his flashbacks of Randy, Jack, and Jiya. Although Jiya knew
Wade didn't kill Randy: He was accused for it and was kicked out of
his house. no one understood his feelings and he wished some would
have told him what he told Jessica.
"Now, at least you don't feel guilty" Wade said, "for letting someone
die when you could save them"
"What do you mean by you?" She asked because she knew Wade was
recalling his past but she had no damn clue of what his past was.
'Please Don't cry. Please don't cry. I am very bad at comforting people,
Wandering Beast
especially when they're crying' she thought, because his eyes turned
watery and she knew that flashbacks were sucking into his soul.
Finding herself in a situation where she had a lack of words and tons
of emotions, she decided not to drag Wade into it and just remind him
to live in the present.
"It's alright" She said while she rested the palm of her hand on Wade's
shoulder, "You don't need to tell me everything. I don't wanna know
what you meant by you. Let's head inside"
Instead of replying with words, he just replied with a nod and started
walking inside. He realized Daisy, and Richard already came inside
but he was too busy in flashbacks to realize that.
Wade threw himself on the sofa beside Ron, while jessica softly sat on
a stool nearby.
"So" Wade Started, "me and Daisy have decided that we're gonna
cancel the bounty on my head by sneaking into the building"
Reunited
"Come on dude" Ron said, "You're in the middle of the densest forest
of Asia. No one's gonna find us"
"I know" Wade said, "but the bounty prevents me from leaving this
forest. We barely survived the Shelgar Villages"
"So what we're gonna do is -" She started, " Now that we're seven
people - we can divide into Four groups. Group W will include me and
Jessica who will stay on the Forest's edge and near the building for
backup, as me and Jessica don't have good powers.
Now, Group E: which will include Ron and Zadar who will run
around the whole building to look for the room where things like
bounties are declared. Meanwhile - Group B: Including Wade and Dad
(Richard), will take care of people who try to interrupt our mission.
Last but not least - Group G: including Only Raavi, will stay on the
building's terrace looking for potential dangers. After getting
information from Group E that they have found the Room: Group G,
B, E will be teleported in that room via Raavi. Then They'll cancel the
bounty of Wade and Dad(Richard) on Gun Point"
Reunited
"But why don't you wanna include yourself in the mission, Daisy?"
Ron raised an eyebrow
"But Wade -" Zadar said, "You've just come back. Why don't you take
some rest?"
"Of course I will take Rest" Wade replied, "The mission should be
executed Tomorrow, or even the day after Tomorrow"
Wandering Beast
The Dried up river of Joy was flooding back in Wade. He was back
with his old friends and new friends. Although He was still struggling
to forget the past about Randy, Jiya, And Jack; He was trying his best.
The Other day - They were Ready to execute their mission. All four
teams Set on their path. Although, They forgot the fact that Richard
also had a bounty on him and they would be in great trouble if the
people there tried to kill Richard.
But luckily they had Jessica and Daisy with them, for backup if
anything goes wrong. What will happen in the mission? Will they
succeed? Will Richard's Bounty Bring an obstacle in their Mission?
Why did Daisy Dragged herself out of the Mission? Who Was the
Mysterious person who poisoned Wade? Will the Poison Create an
obstacle? Will Daisy be actually able to make Cure for that poison on
time?
Chapter Thirteen
Mission of stealth
She thought it would take an eternity for them to search and she
would definitely get bored, because no matter what happened: she had
to stay on the roof unless they did something from the roof.
On the other hand - Daisy bit her lip in anxiety, while Jessica chewed
her nail due to the same reason. Wade pushed a mask on his face:
which hid his face from nose down. Richard pulled out sunglasses
Mission Of Stealth
from his pocket and wore them. It was hard to tell their identity,
because Wade was covering his face and Richard's bounty poster
hadn't been updated for years. It still had the picture of young Richard
and no one was able to tell it was him.
He was quite fast but not at his limits. People still could barely see
him. Zadar's Toe - tips started to burn as if they were dipped in lava.
Because Zadar knew that Ron wasn't strong enough to drag him all by
himself, so he also took wide steps occasionally.
The Whole thing sent chills through Wade's skin as he was the worst
sneaker. He recalled that he always got caught first in the game of
Wandering Beast
hide and seek with jack and jiya. Randy also sometimes used to play
with them.
Randy was a weapon smith and his power of accuracy made him a
great weapon smith because the Precision in his work was
unspeakably perfect. He remembered how he used to watch Randy
work late at night: drinking coffee and carving his weapons with
precision. He even softly moved his tools so that he wouldn't make
enough noise for Wade, Jack, And Jiya to wake up.
His Placements were so precise that if you asked him where the most
random thing was in the house: he'd tell you with ease where exactly he
had put it. He kept his house smooth and clean, that even a particle of
dust was hard to find.
Wade slightly vibrated his head left and right, jumping back into the
present. He found himself running with Richard who was firmly
holding a black Glock(a kind of gun). Richard might look like a poor
old man, but he was more athletic, and fit than Wade thought.
"So far, have we been noticed by anyone?" Ron asked Wade on the
device
Mission Of Stealth
"Nope" Wade replied, "keep going. It's just been ten minutes"
"Well... Actually -" Raavi Raised an eyebrow with a slight smirk, "it's
been twenty seven minutes"
"Kiddo," Richard replied, "are you on drugs? We're on the third floor
dude"
Wade quickly backed while gipping his katana. Seeing wade draw his
hand toward his katana, Richard also sprang in action and pointed his
gun towards Jack. although he didn't know who jack was, He knew
that The guy would most likely be a danger to them or else, Wade
wouldn't even touch his sword.
"Continue our mission, Richard" He said, "I'll take care of this guy"
Richard replied with a nod and continued to run in the direction they
were already going.
"It's Jack" Wade turned to jack with his eyes set on fire.
Wade didn't let his Katan slip from his hand this time, and tightened
his grip, while trying to free himself from Jack's Grab. He was used to
being grabbed by his neck: he launched an impactful punch on Jack's
elbow. The blow was powerful enough to break his elbow. Wade
jumped against the floor. The cracking sound of Jack's bones: satisfied
Wade's Dry throat, which he then got wet by his drool.
Jack however, didn't flinch and shook his hand when the cracking
sound seemed to repeat. Wade quickly understood that he instantly
regenerated his elbow using his dark magic. Although Wade was
always one step further than Jack; but when jack learned Dark Magic
through his Almighty knowledge: The tables turned.
Mission Of Stealth
It seemed like they were falling slower than time itself. In no time:
they were close to the ground. Wade couldn't back himself in the air,
so he dragged Jack in front of him, so Jack would fall first and not
Wade. Jack however, knew that Wade would do something like that,
so he created a protective layer on himself with his magic.
After falling on thw ground: Jack was totally unharmed because of his
magic layer. But Wade had some serious injuries. Wade fell against
Jack on the ground, and it felt like his ribs had cracked. However, that
wasn't the case, it was just mere pain because Jack's protection layer
also transfered in Wade as he was holding him tightly, and Wade also
survived.
"Who's Jack?"
Jessica nodded before she started to sprint with Daisy. Daisy seemed
tensed, but Jessica didn't know why was she tensed, or why Jack was a
danger.
"Yeah" Daisy started, "so basically: Wade, Jack, and Jiya were best
friends because Jiya and Wade were orphans which were adopted by A
guy named Randy. Then Randy mysteriously died, and wade was
accused for the murder. He was kicked out of his house, and he became
a rouge"
"Jack Made that scar on his face and stole his Gabriel eye with his
black magic"
The talk might've seemed like a minute taking talk, but it seemed like
a one and half hour long talk for Jessica as she was the one listening,
and Daisy was a super slow speaker for her. Because sometimes she
would take unnecessary breaks, sometimes random coughs, and
random distractions, like a cloud looking like a car with two legs and a
tail; holding a machine gun in its mouth.
When they reached the place: they saw Wade and Jack fighting. Daisy
saw Jack for the first time, and so did Jessica. Richard exited the
building from the main door on the ground floor.
"Because Daisy told me that this guy's no joke!" Richard spoke while
he approached Daisy and Jessica.
Wandering Beast
While Zadar and Ron Continued to run in the building, looking for
the room: Raavi sat on the terrace. She had no idea what was going on
because Wade, Jessica, Daisy, and Richard were disconnected from the
call.
Jessica again connected to the call: and said "Keep looking for the
room. But when you find it, come back"
"We'll have to abort the mission. But at least we'll know where the
room is" said Jessica
Wade however, continued to fight Jack. Jack wasn't using any of his
powers but he had removed his eyepatch. Jessica noticed that Wade's
right eye was flickering, and she assumed that it's because Jack is
using his Gabriel eye. She noticed that wade also activated his Gabriel
eye. Daisy recalled that Wade couldn't use his Gabriel eye on the right
eye as it was taken by Jack
Richard's attention was drawn towards Wade's sword which was in its
sheath but it's blade was slightly exposed to the air. He thought it
might be a mistake but it was intentional. Keeping the blade exposed
Mission Of Stealth
to the air made him capable of using the powers absorbed by the blade,
without him having to hold the blade.
Wade was fighting against Jack with his bare fists, and so was Jack.
Movements of both were too fast to recognize. 'He'd be the perfect
enemy to check my skills' Richard thought. He threw the gun in
Daisy's hand and pulled out his bamboo stick from his back: where it
was hanging with a heavy duty thread.
Controlling her urges to finish Jack right off, She backed away a bit so
that she doesn't get dragged into the fight.
"Nothing - " She Spoke, "It's just self defence as I don't have any
useful powers" she lied
Richard leapt at Jack with his full force: and the bamboo stick in his
hands. Jack's Forehead was struck by Richard's Stick's Head. The blow
was too fast to notice, and too hard to resist. Jack got thrown away by
the blow. Jack could barely stand up, so he didn't try. Wade was also
shocked as he never thought Richard had so much strength.
Jack thought he'd die from the blow and the stick would pierce
through his head. His whole life flashed before his eyes as he struck his
back against the ground multiple times. He lied on the ground with
Wandering Beast
his fingertips cold as ice and his heart beating at the rate of a bullet
train.
Almighty Magic
He recalled his childhood with Wade, Jiya, and Randy. And Wade
Left the house after Randy's Death.
*The Next Day After Wade Left the House and Randy Died*
"Successfully abandoned your one and only brother. What Now?" Jiya
Cried
Jack climbed on the bed, and sat beside her, in his room. The room
was made out of wood and concrete. Several paranormal paintings
hung on the walls, along with some shelves holding his clothes, just
beside his side table. He grabbed a white glass cup from the table and
wrapped his palm around it. The cup was hot and had hot coffee in it.
The Emoji of the Coffee cup was printed on the cup. He took a sip
from it, with a sigh.
Almighty Magic
"Whenever you feel like you need to take revenge," She started softly
while landing her hand on his shoulder. "Just remember one thing"
"MY DAD believed in God, and died in the hands of his own adopted
son!"
"Why are you not getting it, Wade Didn't Kill -"
"But —"
He jumped out from the bed and stretched his hand above the shelves.
He reached for a bag and opened its zip ragefully. He pulled the
clothes from the hooks and the shelves and threw them into the bag.
He also threw his mobile and the mobile charger in her lap. She
caught it. He gripped the long strap on the middle of the capsule -
Shaped bag and hung diagonally on his left shoulder across his
stomach.
"Where are you going?" She found herself speaking the sentence in
less than a second.
"I don't think I'll tell ya," He said while looking back at the door, with
the words echoing in his mind, Come on dude, you've got the Almighty
knowledge.
Almighty Magic
He shut the door behind him and exited the Room. No sooner than
that, he found himself exiting the town. He Strolled through the
forest, and many abandoned cities, trying to find Wade.
The cave was shaped like a hemisphere. There was a beautiful pond at
a corner, the water was unnaturally blue and also had glowing plants
in it. It all felt unreal, Dreamy, Almost — Magical. He dropped his
bag at the entrance and looked around the cave. His eyes were tired,
but his brain was restless. He went near the pond to see if there was
any drinkable water in it.
He opened the zip of his bag and pulled out a white towel. The towel
was furry, and almost rough, though strangely comforting. He placed
the towel on the floor near the pond. He removed his dirty T-Shirt
with dirt stuck to it. The smell of dry sweat along with blood, seemed
Wandering Beast
to have faded inside the cave. He slid his pants down and threw them
on top of his T-Shirt.
It was very unreal for the Water to be warm when the whole cave was
flushed with coolness. And again - It was summer so it was also unreal
for the cave to be cold. Jack was lying in the pond with his body sunk
into the water from his chest below. His arms were spread on the
border of the pond.
It seemed all unreal but natural. He sunk his feet, but there was no
floor underneath. He understood that the pond wasn't shallow. He
decided to dive into it and see how deep it was. Although somewhere
at the back of his head, it felt like a bad idea. He blocked his nose with
his finger and thumb, and dived inside the Pond, he hesitated a bit
before opening his eyes.
The Water was crystal clear now, he thought it would be dirty but his
eyes felt like an underwater camera. He could see the walls of the
pond, and his body, which he couldn't see before. He looked down to
find the bottom. It wasn't very far. The pond was only about ten feet
deep. The bottom wasn't normal at all.
Almighty Magic
A naked girl was lying at the bottom, with her eyes closed, and her
hair stuck behind her body. Jack was shocked to see a dead body lying
under a pond. It must've been a murder, he thought. Like, What else could
be the reason for someone to throw a body under a pond, inside a cave of
a mountain, in the middle of the whole mountain range?
He went near the pond again to pick up the towel. He laid the towel
on top of her to cover her body, from chest to thighs. He reached into
his bag and reached for his clothes. Although Jack was a psychopath,
he never had the slightest drop of lust in him, and he wanted to help
everyone. He Wore another T-Shirt, and another pant. He pulled out a
pair of matching Shirts and jeans from his bag and placed them beside
her.
As her eyes slowly grew wide, she saw The Sun's rays flooding the
cave, and a Man was sitting at the entrance, eating something. Jack
was sitting there, with a half-eaten apple in his hand. She glanced
beside her, the blue shirt with white checks on it, and a pair of jeans
pants lying there folded and piled upon each other. She noticed the
towel on her. She knew the guy had rescued her.
She slowly got up, trying to make as little noise as possible, as she
didn't want him to look at her naked - Again. She reached for the shirt,
Wandering Beast
slid her arms into the sleeves, closed the buttons, and reached for the
pant. She shoved her legs in the tight sleeves of the jeans and got to
him. She sat beside him and looked at his face. He wasn't shocked or
astonished at all, Instead, He was full of questions.
The Questions are gonna rain like a hailstorm she thought, he glanced at
her with ease. Offered her the apple through a gesture 'Want it?' She
shook her head left and right to deny it.
"Thanks for rescuing me," She said with a dry throat, trying to sound
pleased instead of rude. Which she failed miserably.
"Don't thank me, thank you luck, that I decided to dive into the
pond?" Jack said while not looking at her but at the sunrise, "I
could've just bathed in the pond and gone forward on my journey"
"Well, tell me about yourself, how did you end up in that pond?"
"Okay, cool"
"I was cursed with Almighty knowledge, my dad adopted a guy with
Gabriel's eye, and he killed my dad. Now I'm here, trying to explore
what I can do with my Infinite Knowledge"
"Yeah. I can teach you dark magic, which will help you control your
knowledge"
"Shh" She put her finger on his lips, "I'm a Witch, remember?"
"Shh!" She put her whole claw on his lips trying to shut him up when
the door of the cave slowly dropped, but the lighting of the cave
wasn't affected at all. The glowing plants and the fireflies kept the
light, just not as bright as the sun.
She flew up from the ground, lifting him with the grip of his jaw. She
tightened her grip as he felt the glance of betrayal in her eyes. I
shouldn't trust people very often, he thought. She charged up her forearm
Wandering Beast
with the dark magic, purple particles lighting up her arm, she clenched
up her fist and threw it at his face. In a matter of milliseconds, Jack's
infinite knowledge kicked in, and now he was the master of Dark
Magic himself. He held out his hand and caught her punch before it
could hit him.
He generated a long sword blade from his palm and struck her waist,
cutting her body in equal two pieces. He landed on his feet, the blade
fading slowly and he was gasping quickly. He looked at the two pieces
of the witch's body turning to ashes and flying away, while the same
happened to the door of the cave.
The sunlight again flooded in, he turned around toward the entrance,
and saw the witch again, standing there clapping her hands and
cheering him. His eyes widened in astonishment.
"Don't attack me" She chuckled, "I wasn't trying to do it either. I was
just testing how fast your Almighty knowledge is"
"Really?"
"Okay and?"
"My name is Syria, and I have decided that I will be with you for the
rest of your life"
"Why?"
"You're right"
Then Jack finally Found Wade, and after stealing his eye, he applied
to become a Beast Hunter. His application got approved, he passed the
entrance exam, and poisoned Wade at the Shelgar Market.

Wandering Beast
It was just when He glanced at Richard, the glimpse of fear was seen
for the first time in his eyes. It wasn't the fear of death or the fear of
getting injured by Richard, It was something else, he saw something
inside Richard. Something Richard didn't even know.
Richard's eyes were filled with rage and wisdom, and wanted to kill
Jack. Wade was standing there, questioning Richard's unnatural
strength and his prejudice towards Jack inside his mind.
Chapter Fifteen
"Richard, how did you -" Wade queried, but was abruptly
interrupted.
As she fell to her knees, her pupils began to emit a radiant glow.
Though her eyelids partly obscured the light, keen observers could
discern its faint brilliance. Jessica's thoughts swirled with curiosity-
how did the old man possess such formidable strength? Why did she
collapse to her knees? What was the meaning behind Daisy's gesture
to Wade? And why did the old man continue to fix his gaze upon her?
Her train of thought shattered as Richard interjected,
Beast Within
"I-I-I don't have enough powers to fight this guy!" she stammered
through clenched teeth.
Richard aimed his staff once more at Jack's head, but Jack swiftly
reacted. Seizing the staff, he pushed it back, causing Richard to release
his grip before being forcefully thrown back. Leaning downwards,
Richard struck Jack's knee with a swift kick.
The brutal impact shattered the bone, and as Jack crumpled to his
other knee, Richard brought his clenched fist crashing into Jack's chin.
Blood sprayed forth from Jack's mouth, drenching his face as he
collapsed upon the ground.
Wade resolved to join the fray. With Zadar, Ron, and Raavi engaged
in their mission, and Daisy delving into Jack's mind, Jessica found
herself helpless, unable to participate due to the constraints imposed
by Jack's presence. Her meagre powers rendered her ill-equipped for
combat, she surmised.
pupil danced within his iris. Hurtling toward the earth, his sword
poised to sever Jack's head. But Jack proved swifter. His blade crashed
against the ground as he swiftly pivoted in Wade's direction.
"But I will..." Wade seethed, anger infusing his words. "I will kill
you!"
"Let's see if your Gabriel eye alone can triumph over the
multidimensional dark magic employed by powerful entities, such as
myself," Jack declared with a touch of pride.
"I am well aware that a single Gabriel eye cannot beat the shit out of a
fucking bastard like you" Wade sneered, his fingers coiling tightly
around the hilt of his katana. "That's why it's now time to unleash the
Beast Within"
Wade's Gabriel eye retained its intricate pattern but now blazed with
crimson intensity. He could feel both sorrow and power surging
through his veins. Memories flooded his mind: being cast out by Jack
from their home, the relentless accusations regarding Randy's death –
a crime Wade did not commit. Blamed for his adoptive father's demise
despite being one of many adoptees, Wade grew up as an orphan,
wandering alone through the forest, its soft earth yielding beneath his
bare feet.
Beast Within
Gently impaling the ground with his katana, Wade rested both palms
atop its hilt. As his eyes radiated a fiery red glow, his sword
glimmered with a vibrant azure light. A figure reminiscent of a
yellowish wolf, blending dragon and canine features, materialized
from the blade – a fiery wolf. Flames flickered upon its skin, and its
eyes glowed with a fierce red.
The colossal wolf bounded towards Jack, leaping upon him, its claws
poised to rend him asunder. Reacting swiftly, Jack raised a clenched
fist, conjuring a massive black hand that ruptured through the earth,
shattering the terrain. The immense hand collided with the wolf's
chin, sending the creature sprawling before dissipating, its essence
absorbed back into the land.
"Good. Now head back here as soon as possible," Jessica replied, her
tone urgent. "To the plains outside the building."
Wandering Beast
They sprinted towards Jack, surging their assaults. Wade poised his
blade, Richard charged his staff, Zadar clenched his fist with electricity
crackling on it, Ron charged up his legs, and Raavi prepared to
teleport while racing towards him.
Jack opened his right Gabriel eye, teleported himself away from them,
and let them crash into each other. However, Raavi teleported in front
of him and aimed her fist at him. In no time, he seized her fist and
twisted her arm, striking his forearm on her elbow and shattering it.
He tore the skin around the wound, and blood scattered on the
ground. He hit her on her head with her own torn hand, leaving her
writhing in agony.
Beast Within
I better play dead before he kills me, Ron thought, forcing himself to
stay put with his eyes closed tightly. Wade attempted to caution
Zadar, but it was too late- Jack had devised a quicksand pit using
magic, and Zadar had sunk up to his neck. The more he struggled, the
more profound he descended.
Only Richard and Wade remained now. Jack realized it would be easy
to get rid of Richard, but he didn't want to miss the fun of fighting
him hand-to-hand. He also longed to savour Wade's demise. Nobody
knew where he had teleported to, but Daisy did- she was perched
motionless. Entering Jack's brain, she succeeded.
She gazed around, sensing as if she had been submerged in his brain.
She witnessed the surroundings, where the entire floor was covered
with red fog. The sky was devoid of clouds but filled with red tint.
Dead bushes danced in the warm wind. She glimpsed at herself- she
was a little girl, maybe eight or nine. So that's how he imagines me?
she wondered. She sought something that would enable her to
regulate his brain and walk in a straight line. Every way appeared to
be straight, as there was no path.
What are you doing here, kid? Jack asked inside his head.
Daisy spun around in alarm. How did you know I'm here? Most
people don't realize how their minds are being controlled, she replied.
Wandering Beast
Well... not this one, she thought. They could hear each other's
thoughts because they were in Jack's brain.
Well..... you see, you're inside my brain, and I'm in charge here.
I'm not playing around - oh well look at that, she was holding a
glowing ball. The ball laminated a yellowish-white glow, like a sun's.
Is this your consciousness?
He made you think it was your idea, while it was his idea all along.
Wait.....
Wandering Beast
Don't think too much. He already tricked you. You can't do anything
about it. He played with your feelings like a toddler plays with toys.
But he did. He thought. Daisy was there to control Jack's mind but got
brainwashed by Jack himself
She found herself clutching a knife as tears streamed down her face.
She jumped at Richard, who was battling Wade. She knew Richard
had been possessed by Jack and was trying to kill Wade. The only way
to save Richard was to kill him. Jack could not control dead bodies.
And Jack was taking advantage of Richard's helplessness.
Jessica energized her knife and sprinted towards Richard with all her
might.

Chapter Sixteen
Clash Duel
Richard is now possessed by Jack and the only way to save him is by
killing him, She cogitated.
They were within Jessica's cognition, enabling them to delve into each
other's streams of thought.
So, Jessica. Where is your sentience? I don't think you are a normal
Human. You can perceive me within your cognition. Wade couldn't.
He had a... What? And Didn't his Gabriel eye notice it?
Richard averted her punch with his forearm. However, the energy
possessed an otherworldly essence. It shattered through Richard's
forearm and surged towards his countenance. Richard was cognizant
that his face was on the verge of obliteration. Jack vacated Richard's
corporeal form promptly, knowing that Richard would assuredly
Wandering Beast
This girl!! Why did I assume Wade had weaklings akin to himself?
Jack Deliberated. The sprinting guy and that teleporting girl were
feeble enough, but I grossly underestimated Richard. I also had to deal
with Zadar before he could take action. Daisy was also rather feeble,
like Wade, but this! This girl is veritably a Human Beast. How am I
supposed to combat a Human Beast while residing within an elderly
man's frame?
I yearned to lay eyes upon you one final time, Miko. I apologize for
failing to fulfill my promise of returning home. Ultimately, I was not a
powerless beast, but rather an insignificant one. I yearned to return
home and gaze upon your countenance one last time, Miko. Just once
more. How I wish I could, Richard exclaimed somberly. He
plummeted to the ground, vanishing amidst clouds of dust with his
lifeless body.
He thrust his palm into the ground, using it to support himself and
rise to a standing position. He conjured his blade, rekindling his
resolve. Wade recollected that he hadn't utilized all of the absorbed
beings within the sword.
***
The beast tightened his grip on her neck. In an instant, Wade sprang
into action. He drew his sword and lunged at the beast, slicing off his
head with a swift stroke. The beast's body crumpled to the ground,
kicking up a cloud of dust.
***
With a swift, merciless motion, Jack hurled the broken blade towards
Wade's chest. The hilt of the shattered sword slipped from Wade's
grasp as the jagged tip pierced his flesh, penetrating the left side of his
chest.
A sinister smile forming on his lips, Jack taunted, "Ah, it seems I may
have missed the heart."
Yanking the broken blade from Wade's body, Jack ensnared him by
his collar, preventing any escape from his clutches. Driving home the
attack, he plunged the luminous blade back into his victim's chest,
crimson lifeblood spilling forth from Wade's mouth.
Jack reveled in the sight before him, relishing the torment endured by
those who had sworn to vanquish him. Poised for another strike, he
retrieved a fresh blade, but fate inadvertently intervened, for he had
unwittingly evaded Wade's heart twice. Activating his Gabriel eye,
Wade tapped into the essence of the human beast within him,
harnessing its power. Energizing his hand, he unleashed a devastating
punch upon Jack's jaw, leaving Jessica astounded by the sight of Wade
engaging in a battle waged with powers akin to those of a human
beast.
With a great exertion, Jack rose from the ground, his eyes seething
with anger as he fixated on Wade. Preparing himself for a
counterassault, his intention to strike was foiled by an astonishing
display of power emanating from Wade. The alluring tendrils of his
abilities mirrored those of Jessica's, leaving Jack astonished and
acknowledging the tremendous challenge before him. Within the span
of a heartbeat, Wade appeared at Jack's side, his fists becoming an
unstoppable barrage of blows.
"In this final moment, I trust you will speak the truth," Jack entreated.
Seizing upon this revelation, Jack pressed further, his thirst for
understanding unquenched. "Then, who was that bastard?" A sense of
urgency underscored his words, driven by the Almighty knowledge
that periodically seized control of him.
Wandering Beast
"I believed you held the knowledge," Wade replied tersely, aware that
the truth loomed agonizingly close.
"That's the thing, Wade. I can't control what I want to know and
what I don't. I could never figure out the truth, so I assumed that it
was because I already knew the truth"
Resigned to his fate, Jack recognized his inability to alter the course
of events, even as he cinched his knowledge-tainted grip on Jessica,
now fully aware of the killer's identity
Chapter Seventeen
Curse Mark
Jessica glided gracefully to Wade's side, her visage flushed with the
calamities that had unfolded. It was an astonishing revelation to her
that despite her prowess as a human beast, she couldn't rescue either
Wade or Richard. The chronicles of the events played before her like a
mesmerizing tableau. She was rendered powerless, a mere spectator to
the destruction of her beloved ones. Innocent souls, she thought,
though they were dear to her.
With a trembling hand, she raised her finger, pointing at Jack. Her
digit ascended slowly, and Jack ascended with it, his lifeless form
hovering above Wade. To ensure his demise, she raised her other
hand, crafting a gesture akin to separation, and plucked Jack's heart
from his body. She maneuvered her hand slightly, causing Jack to
tumble beside Wade, his diminutive crimson heart rolling toward his
outstretched hand, in proximity to his neck.
Curse Mark
Frantically, she scanned the surroundings for Daisy. Yet, Daisy was
conspicuously absent. She shut her eyes anew, attempting to locate her
within her consciousness, but Daisy remained elusive. "She must have
fled," Jessica surmised. She turned her gaze back to Wade, her eyes
filled with remorse surpassing even her tears. Gingerly, she removed
the shattered sword's blade from Wade's chest and rested her forehead
upon his abdomen, suppressing her urge to weep aloud.
Memories flooded her mind of how Wade had saved her from the
clutches of that human beast. The beast had ensnared her neck, poised
to snuff out her life. "He vanquished the human beast with a single,
decisive stroke," she recollected. "That day, I had discerned his true
might. I had never imagined encountering anyone more formidable
than him, someone capable of dispatching a fully grown human beast
with a lone swipe of his sword. And then, We encountered Jack." Her
mind wandered to the moment Richard had sacrificed himself to shield
her.
"I was prepared to use my power to end him," she ruminated, "and yet,
he allowed himself to be impaled in my stead. He knew I was a Human
Beast, and Jack's blade possessed the potential to slay me. He could
have allowed me to die, for Wade would have needed him more than
me. But he thought otherwise. I hadn't even displayed sufficient valor
to warrant such a sacrifice, and yet, two people died in the endeavor to
save my life"
She spoke these sentiments aloud, unaware that her thoughts had
found voice. To her astonishment, she heard the most mellifluous
sound, one she had yearned to hear.
Wandering Beast
"Really?" The voice belonged to Wade, observing her lament upon his
stomach.
"How... How are you still alive?" Her words flowed hesitantly, for she
had witnessed his demise with her own eyes. She doubted whether
Jack could still be alive, but she knew Jack was not, for she had
extracted his heart. Her gaze remained fixed upon Wade, who, despite
the pain gnawing at his chest, wore a smile.
"I am alive. And I'd really appreciate you if you'd get off my stomach"
he spoke in a jesting manner.
"Thank the heavens," Rom interjected. "We were dying to see you not
die! Get it? 'Cause like none of us died but Wade?" The others
regarded Ron with a blend of awkwardness and agreement, but Wade
didn't want to ruin his enthusiasm
"May I get up now?" Wade inquired, his tone both authoritative and
lighthearted. Zadar and Ron promptly assisted Wade to his feet, while
Jessica utilized a length of blue fabric from her dress to bind Raavi's
injured arm.
Their initial plan had been to convey Wade to their base, but Raavi
offered a more logical proposition. "Wait," Wade requested, "before
you teleport us...."
Extricating himself from Zadar and Ron, Wade approached the lifeless
body of Richard, his legs quivering. After a brief struggle, he knelt
beside Richard, gazing into the lifeless visage. He retrieved Richard's
staff and studied it, his eyes filled with memories of their shared
experiences.
"We don't have time for this," Zadar whispered to Raavi. "He's
wounded, and so are we. Teleport us immediately."
*****
Wandering Beast
Wade awoke in his own bed, his eyes fixated on the ceiling. He
pondered the surreal events that had transpired. Was it all a dream?
he wondered.
He gingerly sat up, his legs dangling over the edge of the bed. He
scrutinized his chest. Nothing amiss. Tugging at his T-shirt collar, he
examined his skin, noting a bandage encircling his chest and
extending around his back. Something else caught his eye, an
enigmatic mark etched into his stomach. It was not a mere blemish but
a permanent tattoo that melded seamlessly with his skin. His skin
shivered sporadically, exacerbated by the cool breeze from the air
conditioning. He reached for the remote control and switched it off.
When he glanced back at his stomach, the mark had vanished. He took
off his T-shirt to get a clear look.
"Yeah, yeah, I understand," she said, but her words ceased as she
noticed Wade sitting upright. "Oh, you're awake," she exclaimed, her
gaze shifting from his bandage to his face.
"You know, Jessica," Wade began, his voice contemplative, "I was
thinking about what happened out there. The way Richard sacrificed
himself to save you and me... It weighed heavily on my mind."
Jessica paused for a moment, her hands still on the lap, and looked into
Wade's eyes. "I know what you mean," she replied softly. "It was a
selfless act, one that I can't forget."
Curse Mark
Wade nodded, his gaze distant. "I owed Richard a debt I could never
repay. He believed in us, in our potential to make a difference. And I
didn't want his sacrifice to be in vain."
Jessica smiled warmly at Wade. "I think he would have been proud of
the victory"
"I see," Wade replied. "You never mentioned that you were a human
beast." He recalled that night, when that human beast grabbed his
neck and told him to stop other beast hunters from hunting beasts but
he didn't stop. He also saw a girl run away. She must be Jessica.
Because I'm pretty sure she was a human beast too. Ohh!!! That's why
the beast also wanted to kill Jessica when I went in the woods to kill
him.
"You never mentioned that you had a Cru....er... heart is on the right
side," she said, her voice hesitant.
"Because You guys were injured too, and couldn't bring me to the
hospital. You would've died trying to find a hospital near that
organization. 'Cause there are none. I would've preferred to die alone
in peace, instead of dying along with four more people who were
trying to save me."
Wade opened his mouth to explain the event. About that hand - but
Before Wade could respond, the door creaked open again. It was Ron.
With a slight chuckle, Jessica continued, "bandage. It's been two days
with this one."
"About a week," Ron replied. "We thought you were dead, but you
were still breathing. And when I came to change your clothes, stained
with dirt and blood, I noticed a strange mark kept appearing on your
stomach. What was that?"
"Yeah, I don't know either," Wade concurred. "I didn't see any mark
on my stomach."
"He's been making increasingly bizarre and unfunny jokes since you
complimented him," Jessica remarked.
"Indeed. I brought you some medicines," she said, jesting. "And you
should avoid spending too much time with Ron to shield yourself from
'broken humor syndrome.'"
The room was filled with a sense of lightness. The soft glow of
daylight filtered through the curtains, casting gentle patterns on the
walls.
Jessica couldn't help but smile at the banter. It was a reminder of the
care and concern she and the others had shown for Wade during his
recovery.
Wade's laughter, though still tinged with the remnants of pain from
his recent ordeal, was a welcome sound in the room. It was a
testament to their resilience and the bonds that had grown stronger
through adversity.
Ron reentered Wade's room, his intent clear as he secured the door
behind him. Taking a seat beside Wade, he extended his hand, placing
it gently on Wade's shoulder. Wade, seated on the edge of his bed,
reciprocated the gesture.
"What would you like to know?" Wade replied, hoping that Ron
wouldn't inquire about the mysterious mark.
"I wanna know about the mark," Ron stated, his gaze locked onto
Wade's eyes. "You don't need to hide it, and I won't tell anyone about
it."
"No, it's not about embarrassment," Wade clarified. "I just didn't want
to burden you all with it."
"Don't worry," Ron reassured him. "You know me. I'm easygoing and
have no regrets."
"Alright," Wade began, trying to recall the events. "As far as I can
remember, there was this hand... I was pushed... I saw someone... It
felt like I was falling from a great height... When I opened my eyes, I
saw Jessica resting her head on my stomach."
