Indian federal system is one of the reasons why India has a different identity in the world.
BUT...
There were and still there are few people who wants unitary system in which the power will
be in the hands of central government. And the concept of "One Nation, One Election" is
one the tools to implement this malicious idea.

We all here agree with the fact the state and national leaders are chosen on the different
issues and interests and One can not disagree with the fact that when Central and State
elections will be conducted at the same time , the issues with national importance will cover
up the regional issues which is a decisive factor in transferring the votes to political party
which performs well on national level , thus national parties have their personal gains on the
name of one nation one election.
Other important aspect is negligence of local issues on which the regional parties have
stronger hold, thus this is way to decrease the efficiency of democracy.
One election, one nation is the beginning of erasing India’s heterogeneity; our
diverseness in languages, cultures, religions, political views will be in danger.

The real motive behind one nation, one election is to centralise power.
