Head and Body (worked as one piece):
Begin:
1: 6 SC in MR
2: 6 INC (12)
Head shaping:
3: (1 SC, INC)*6 (18)
8: 42 SC
10-15: 48 SC (6 rows)
17-19: 54 SC (3 rows)
26: 18 SC
31: 36 SC
33-34: 42 SC (2 rows)
36-42: 48 SC (7 rows)
2: 6 INC (12)
4-5: 16 SC (2 rows)
8-13: 12 SC (6 rows)
15: 11 SC
Crochet 1 more SC, fold the arm in half, crochet 5 SC through both loops, leave
yarn for sewing, cut.
Legs:
Follow the same pattern as for the arms, but after row 7, crochet:
Continue crocheting 13 SC for rows 10-17 (8 rows total). Crochet 1 more SC, fold
the leg in half, crochet 6 SC through both loops, leave yarn for sewing, cut.
Ears:
Follow the same pattern as for the arms, but after row 7, crochet:
7-11: 24 SC (5 rows)
13-14: 18 SC (2 rows)
Leave yarn for sewing, cut. Fold the ear in half and attach.
Tail:
1: 6 SC in MR
2: 6 INC (12)
3: 12 SC
4: 6 DEC, SS.
Assembly:
First, embroider the eyes and nose. Then embroider eyebrows and create a
muzzle.
Sew arms between rows 26-27, and legs between rows 41-42. Attach ears in the
center of the head, in the area of the magic ring.
Crochet rows of SC, also trying it on the toy and adjusting accordingly. If more
rows are needed before the tail, add them.
In the end of row 6, make 2 CH, and at the beginning of row 7, make 2 CH (this
will be the opening for the tail), then continue with SC. Continue with SC for 7
more rows (or however many you need to close the pants).
Form legs, leaving 4 SC in the middle, both in the front and back. This leaves 22
stitches for each leg. Without cutting the yarn, crochet until the first leg SC (for
me, 3 SC), then crochet the first leg:
2: 22 SC
For the strap, chain 35 (+/- depending on your preference), and make 1 SS.
From the second chain from the hook, crochet 2 SC, CH 3, skip 3 SC (this creates
the buttonhole), then continue with 30 SC. The strap is ready, sew it to the back
of the pants. Attach a button to the front of the pants as desired.
Fold up the pants where you crocheted through the front loops.
