SPEAKING TEST FORM 1

In this test you need to make 2 short videos. You need to record yourself while speaking. You
can ask someone to help to record you while you do the speaking.
The first video must not more than 3 minutes. You must answer Part 1 and Part 2.
In the second video, answer Part 3 in not less than 2 minutes and not more than 3 minutes.

Situation: Two housewives meet at a supermarket and they talk about family matters.
Jane: Hi Celia, how nice to bump into you. It has been months since we last met.
Celia: Yes, it has really been a while now. How’s the family?
Jane: Jack is still trying to make ends meet. My son is finishing his studies in London next
year. How is everybody at your end?
Celia: Well, Sam has not been feeling too well these days, his heart you know. The
children are fine, though. We get by, but it is a little bit of a struggle sometimes.
Jane: I’m sorry to hear that Sam has not been feeling well. He was such a live wire that it
is hard to believe that he is ill. Is there anything we can do to help?
Celia: We really miss your visits. Why don’t you all drop by sometime soon? I’m sure that
will cheer him up.
Jane: You can count on us to do that. I will call you this weekend to confirm the time.
Celia: Please call before seven in the morning or after six in the evening.
Jane: I have got to run now, Celia. Please take care and do not worry too much. I will
pray for you and I am sure things will turn out right for you. Bye!
Celia: Thank you Jane, you have been a really good friend to me.
