1. Complex sentences with adverb clauses of time
S + V … + before/after/when/ while/ till / until / as soon as + S + V…
Before/After/When/ While/ Till / Until / As soon as + S + V…, S + V…..

Before: trước khi /after: sau khi /when: khi/ while: trong khi/ till , until: cho tới khi / as
soon as: ngay khi
2. Present tense (thì hiện tại đơn )
Thì hiện tại đơn mang ý nghĩa tương lai khi nói về thời gian biểu, chương trình (đối với
các phương tiện như tàu, xe hoặc lịch chiếu phim, v.v…).
3. Past continuous ( quá khứ tiếp diễn )
Cách dùng thì quá khứ tiếp diễn:
- Dùng để diễn tả một hành động xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ.
Ex: Ann was watching a cartoon at 10 P.M yesterday.
- Dùng để diễn tả 1 hành động đang xảy ra trong quá khứ thì có 1 hoạt động khác xen vào
nó. “When” hoặc “ While”
Ex: While they were preparing for the party, we came.
When we came, they were preparing for the party.
4. Preposition of place (giới từ chỉ nơi chốn) in, at, in front of, on, opposite, or, under
Preposition of time (giới từ chỉ thời gian)in, for, by

An earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale hit Nepal on April 25th, 2015. It was the most
powerful earthquake to strike Nepal since 1934. The earthquake occurred in central Nepal. It also
affected India, Bangladesh and Tibet, China. The earthquake killed more than 8,800 people and
injured over 23, 000 people. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire
villages flattened. Kathmandu Burbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was destroyed.
