“Action speaks louder than words” is an old-age proverb with a deep hidden
meaning. Truly, a person’s action will tell us everything we need to
know. Action is defined as the work we do and is visible to everyone, whereas words are merely spoken words that everyone hears. Actions successfully done give tremendous results; on the other hand, boastfully spoken words do not necessarily give results without the hands of action. For instance, words mean nothing when our actions oppose our claims. This proverb, in general, tries to spread the message that actions are much stronger than words, and with the powerful weapon of actions, one can be successful compared to those who try to achieve by their words. Moreover, it is not at all necessary if someone is telling about his/her future actions; he/she will do it.
The examination is a tragedy. Students are so terrified of it that they begin to
shake at the very recognition of its name. As soon as it comes near, they get anxious. The night before an examination is full of panic and puzzlement for them. They do not feel like eating and sleeping. They are preoccupied with revising the expected questions and feel as if they are blank. They worry they will be unable to answer the queries asked in the paper. They try to concentrate on their textbooks but find it challenging to do so. Their self-confidence seems to forget them. They try to keep themselves awake somehow. If ever nap tries to undertake them, they go and wash their face or have a cup of warm coffee. Parents tell them to sleep for some time, but sleep does not come by; they do not want to risk going to sleep. They are hectic. They do not wish to talk to anybody. In this way, the night before the examination is an aspiration for them.
