SUPPORT AND TRANSPORT IN PLANTS: 20 MARKS

TRANSPIRATION:

3.1. The diagram below represent the cross-sections of the leaves of two

different plants, Plant A and Plant B. These plants were used in an

investigation to determine and compare transpiration rates. A potometer

was used to measure the transpiration rate of each plant. Each plant was

first allowed to acclimatise to normal conditions and the transpiration rate

was determined. The plants were then subjected to different environmental

conditions and the transpiration rates were recorded.
