Presenter: Jamie Smily
Jamie Smily is a qualified architect who established the first
cross-laminated timber factory in South Africa. Since then
Jamie’s company, XLAM, has manufactured many beautiful
CLT structures all over South Africa.

Presenter: Michael Kloos
Michael Kloos is a professional structural engineer who
focuses on timber structures and specifically CLT structures.
Michael designed several CLT structures over the past few
years and is one of the most experienced engineers in this
field in South Africa
