Ingredients for Pork Sarciado

1/2 cup lean pork, cut into cubes
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp minced garlic
1/3 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 cup diced potatoes
1/2 cup of green peas
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 and 1/2 cups of water
salt and pepper to taste
ow to Make Pork Sarciado

1. Saute the garlic, onions and tomatoes in cooking oil.
2. After about three minutes, add the pork and a little water.
3. Add in the seasonings, cover and simmer until pork is almost done
4. Add the potato cubes and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add the green peas and bell peppers.
7. Cook for 3 more minutes while gently stirring.
Adjust the amount of water and tomato sauce to get the desired thickness.





















Pork Adobo
!rep Time: 45-85 minutes
Serves 6-8

ngredients:

2 lbs pork, cut up in 1 1/2 inch wide by 2 inches long
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. grnd black pepper
1 cup soy sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp white or brown sugar is okay
4 hard boiled eggs
2 tbsp olive oil
2-3 bay leaves
2 cups of water or as needed.

nstructions:


!ut oil, garlic in skillet, brown then add meat. Saute until water has dried up from the meat and until
it is browned. Add soy sauce and ground black pepper until color has mixed in well with the meat .
Keep mixing then add water to simmer until pork is tender. Wait until it gets thick and getting the
color that you want to make it look delish.
Then add vinegar, simmer again 5-8 minutes. Add hard boiled eggs. Serve over rice or with bread is
good!


NOTE/T!S:

- You can add as many as hardboiled eggs you want. For four of us in the family, would normally
use 6-8 pieces of them. Adding them is an alternative also in substitute of eating more rice plus we
grew up in the philippines that when adobo is cooked, it is always added on the dish.
- Adding vinegar in the last few minutes of cooking time is very important. !utting the vinegar in the
first step of boiling the meat is not advisable as this will not help in making them tender faster.
- This is a good source of protein especially for those people on diet trying to cut down on carbs.
-This can be cooked with pork and chicken combination or just chicken only is fine too.







Pork AIrILudu (BruIsed Pork In TomuLo Suuce)

Ingredients :
O 1 lb. pork, cut into serving pieces
O 1 tsp. salt
O 1/8 tsp. pepper
O 3 cloves garlic, minced
O 1 onion, sliced
O 1 tbsp. patis (fish sauce)
O 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
O 1 cup water
O 1/2 cup tomato sauce
O 1 red bell pepper, sliced
O 1 green bell pepper, sliced
O 2 tbsp. fine breadcrumbs (or flour, or cornstarch)
O vegetable oil

1. !ut pork in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Let stand 10 to 20 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir-fry pork pieces until no longer pink in color and
turn lightly brown.
3. Add and saut garlic until fragrant. Stir in onion until soft and translucent. Season
with patisand then add potatoes, stir-fry for a few minutes.
4. !our in water and tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer covered
for about 25 to 30 minutes or until pork is cooked and potatoes are tender.
5. Add in bell peppers and stir to blend. Correct seasonings. Thicken sauce with breadcrumbs
(or flour, or cornstarch, if using). Stir and blend and let simmer for another few more minutes.
6. Remove from heat. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.










OLD FASHIONED ONION RINGS

Ingredients
O 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
O 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
O 1 teaspoon baking powder
O 1 teaspoon salt
O 1 egg
O 1 cup milk, or as needed
O /4 cup dry bread crumbs
O seasoned salt to taste
O 1 quart oil for frying, or as needed
Directions
1. eat the oil in a deep-fryer to degrees F (18 degrees C).
2. Separate the onion slices into rings, and set aside. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder
and salt.
. Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture until they are all coated; set aside. Whisk the egg and milk into
the flour mixture using a fork. Dip the floured rings into the batter to coat, then place on a wire rack to
drain until the batter stops dripping. The wire rack may be placed over a sheet of aluminum foil for easier
clean up. Spread the bread crumbs out on a plate or shallow dish. Place rings one at a time into the
crumbs, and scoop the crumbs up over the ring to coat. Give it a hard tap as you remove it from the
crumbs. The coating should cling very well. Repeat with remaining rings.
4. Deep fry the rings a few at a time for 2 to minutes, or until golden brown. Remove to paper towels to
drain. Season with seasoning salt, and serve.
