Day 01: Arrival -Jammu Airport /Railway – Katra (One way – 50 Kms, 02 hrs. by road)

Arrive at Jammu Airport than processed towards Katra.


Enroute visit the famous Amar Mahal Museum
Amar Mahal Palace Description: is a palace in Jammu, that has been converted into a
museum . It was built in the 19th century by a French architect on the lines of a French
Chateau . The palace was commissioned by Maharaja Amar Singh, a Dogra king . The
museum houses many exhibits, including a golden throne weighing 120kg, a Pahari
miniature, Kangra miniature paintings, a library of 25,000 antique books, many rare art
collections, and a large collection of portraits of the royal family . The palace is located on
the right bank of the Tawi River, on a bend of the river, in Jammu .

Check in hotel in Katra, Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Katra (Vaishno Devi Darshan)

After breakfast visit to the Vaishno Devi Darshan.


Please be advised that on the day of darshan we will not provide a vehicle and guests have to
coordinate with hotel reception for Banganga / Helipad pick-up and drop. The hotel may or
may not apply charges for Banganga pick-up and drop as per policy.

Register and Procure Yatra slip. Drop to the Banganga and start your Yatra for Vaishno Devi
Darshan (Please be advised that Bhavan is around 13 Kms from Katra Town and you can hire
Ponies, Palkis or can cover the distance on Foot).

Return to Katra. Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Katra.

Important Instruction – Kindly keep tab, laptop, Video camera, handy camera and any
licensed weapon in your hotel room as due to security reasons these things are not
permitted during Yatra.

Day 03: Katra – Pahalgam (One way – 211 Kms, 05 hrs. by road)
After breakfast check out from the katra hotel, commence drive to Pahalgam which is also
called “valley of shepherd’s”.
Pahalgam description: Pahalgam is one of the famous Tourist attractions and a favourite
place for shooting of Bollywood films, and is still a health resort. Besides tourist huts, several
hotels in private sector have come up here and these hotels provide modern facilities to their
guests.

Check into the Pahalgam hotel, Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Pahalgam (local sightseeing)

After breakfast, have an optional tour.
Optional Sightseeing/ Own Arrangements: Embark on an excursion to Chandanwari (3288
meters), Betaab Valley and Aru Valley. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and
dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag.

Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 05 Pahalgam – Srinagar (One way - 94 kms, 03 hrs by road)


After Breakfast check out from the Hotel and then proceed towards Srinagar.

Enroute visit Awantipura ruins: Awantipura is a town located in the Pulwama district of
Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Jhelum and is home to the
ruins of two 9th century Hindu temples built by King Avantivarman. The temples were
excavated by the archaeologist Daya Ram Sahni in the early 20th century and are now
protected and maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
On the way we will stop at Pampore village to purchase some authentic saffron direct from
farmers and we will also visit bat factories and Apple valley.

Check in to hotel, Rest of the day free to explore the beautiful markets of Srinagar, like polo
view market and lalchowk Srinagar.

Polo View: Polo view market is considered to be the market hub of Kashmir. If you want
something specific, this is the place to come. The area is packed with shops that sell almost
everything you want and need, everything ranging from authentic Kashmiri. According to
the Srinagar Smart City Limited, Polo View Market has been transformed into a
pedestrian-oriented high street that will attract more footfall, increased retail sale, and
improved experience of visitors

LAL CHOWK: Lal Chowk Market is the heart of Srinagar and is known for its traditional
kasmiri handicrafts like papier – Mache and wood carving etc. This market is also popular for
jewelry making for both locals and tourists. Lal Chowk has a great signific in their history of
Kashmir.

After having visit return to hotel, Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 06 Srinagar –Sonamarg - Srinagar (One way 80 Kms; Approx. 03 hours by Road)

After Breakfast have an excursion to Sonamarg, which is also called the” Meadows of
Gold.”
Sonamarg Description - Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonamarg is also called as “The
meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh
River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired
(Own arrangements) for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction
during the summer. Nilagraad River which is beautiful river located at a distance of 6 km
from Sonamarg. It is believed that the water of the river has medicinal properties and can cure
many diseases .also visit to Baltal Valley a beautiful valley located at a distance of 15 km
from Sonamarg. It is a popular spot for camping and trekking .you can visit these destinations
on actual basis.
Optional/own arrangement: Zojila pass is 15 km from Sonamarg. It provides a vital link
between Ladakh and the Kashmir Valley. It runs at an elevation of approximately 3,528 metres
(11,575 ft), and is the second-highest pass after Fotu La on the Srinagar–Leh National Highway.
During the drive from Zojila and Sonamarg we can see the Baltal (base camp for shri Amarnath ji
shrine.

Optional/own arrangement: sarbal, fish point and it is a last village of Kashmir where
people mainly live in small traditional and old-fashioned huts. The fish point is an artificial
pond made by the jk tourism.
Optional/own arrangement: Thajiwas Glacier is a beautiful glacier located at a distance of 3 km
from Sonamarg in Kashmir. It is situated at an altitude of 3000 m above sea level and is covered in
snow throughout the year. The glacier is a perfect spot for trekking as well as camping.

After having visit, return back to the Hotel. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
For Sonamarg Visit during heavy snowfall vehicles go till Gagangir which is 10 km away
from
Sonamarg. In this case the only possible mode of transportation is Ponies. The guest has to
pay on actuals.

Day 07: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (One way - 54 kms, 02hrs. by road)
After breakfast have a day excursion to Gulmarg, which is also called “Meadows of
Flowers”.
Gulmarg Description: It was discovered as a tourist destination by the British in the 19th
century. It is exquisitely situated in a pine surrounded basin of the Pir Panjal range at an
altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level and one of the most famous tourist destinations of
Kashmir. It also has one of the world’s highest green golf courses with 18 holes, as well as a
clubhouse, which is a historical building in its own right. The destination also offers gondola
riding from Gulmarg to kangdoor (phase1) which takes tourists at the height of 8530 ft. and
then after Kangdoor to aparwath (phase 2nd).at the height of 12293ft. the destination offers
many sports games like ATV cars, off road bikes, pony ride, Heli skiing etc. (on actual basis).

Gondola, it takes tourists at the height of 8530 ft to kangdoor station.

takes tourists from Kangdoor to Aparwath at the height of 12293ft.
Optional /own Arrangements: Visit Bota pathri that is 10 kms away from Gulmarg, is a
restricted area, you may have permission before visiting there.it is embedded with
picturesque natural beauty and deep dense forest, fast flowing river, snow mountains around
with the village of Gujjar shepherds, a mosque, and dargah inside Bota pathri.
Optional /own Arrangements: Alpather Lake is a picturesque small lake and is surrounded
by Rocky Mountains and lush green meadows that are covered with beautiful wildflowers,
making it a sight to behold. Tourists can hire ponies for reaching there or can go there by
foot.

phase 1 if you want to cover both phases. 2nd phase start point is the place where its phase
ends.
After having visit, return to Srinagar. Dinner & overnight at Srinagar hotel.
Note: For Gulmarg visit during heavy snowfalls vehicles are not allowed beyond Tangmarg
(Its 13 km away from Gulmarg). In this case we assist customers to hire snow jeeps which
charge Rs 2500- 3000 per return journey per Snow-jeep (Tangmarg to Gulmarg &
Return) (Snow jeeps are easily available in this scenario & cost will be on actuals
& paid by customer).
After having visit return to the Srinagar hotel for dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08: Srinagar -sightseeing

After breakfast check out from hotel, and then check in to Houseboat. And later have a
local visit of Srinagar Mughal Gardens (Nishat, Shalimar, and Chasme shahi garden) and
also visit Dargah, Shankaracharya temple and in evening visit to dal lake for shikara ride.

Shalimar Garden description: it is a Mughal Garden located in Srinagar.it was built by


Jahangir for his beloved wife Empress Noor Jahan in 1619, and is considered the highest
point of Mughal horticulture. The gardens terraces, four in number, each with a theme, a
unique wonder, the black marble pavilion sight to behold, a symbol of love, a story untold.
Nishat Garden description: is a Mughal Garden located on the eastern side of the Dal Lake
in Srinagar, it was built by AD Asif khan the elder brother of Noor Jahan, and is 2 nd largest
Mughal Garden in Kashmir valley. It is known for its terraced layout and Persian inspired
architecture, popularly known as Shahar e khaas.

Chashme Shahi description: is a Mughal Garden located in Srinagar, Kashmir, India. It


was built around a spring by Ali Mardan Khan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan,
as a gift for his eldest son Prince Dara Shikoh in 1632 AD.. The garden is named after the
spring that was discovered by a Kashmiri woman named Rupa Bhawani. The garden is 108
meters long and 38 meters wide and is known for its breathtaking beauty.

Tulip Garden description: it was formely known as Siraj Bagh in the memory of late PM
Indira Gandhi renamed Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Asia spread over an area of
about 30 hectares .it was opened in 2007. It is a home of 1.5 million tulip bulbs of 68
varieties with multiple colours.
Hazratbal shrine description: it was initially established by Inayat begum, the daughter of
Khawaja Nur- Ud -Din- Eshai IN 17TH Century by Mughal Subedar Sadiq khan.it is situated
on the left bank of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar. It is considered to be Kashmir’s holiest
Muslim shrine and contains a relic, Moi-e-Muqqadas, which is widely believed to be the hair
of the Islamic prophet Muhammad .

Shankaracharya Temple: This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located on
the top of Shankaracharya Hill in Srinagar. It is situated at a height of 1,000 feet and people
can reach there by climbing 250 steps. The temple is considered as the oldest temple in
Kashmir . The structure is situated on a hill that is a well-preserved Panjal trap formed by
Permian era volcanic activity .

After having visit, visit to dal lake and enjoy one hour Shikara ride in the pristine Dal Lake or
(lake of flowers) which is considered to be the jewel in Kashmiri’s crown. It is also called the
heart of Srinagar. The lake is surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, and the reflection of the
moonlight on the water creates a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
After enjoy the shikara ride. Dinner & overnight stay at Houseboat.

Day 09: Srinagar -Departure


After Breakfast in House boat and keep your luggage ready for check out.
 Transfer to the Srinagar Airport.
 Depart with affectionate/unforgettable memories.

IMP NOTE:
Please note that the Hotels proposed in the quote may not be available at time of
booking, in this situation suitable alternative hotel will be booked. In the situation
suitable/similar hotel is not available a next available category will be booked and cost
diff between the two hotels will be provided, in case of reduction we will refund the
money but in case of supplements, the clients should be ready for the same. If we get
higher category rooms such as club rooms etc. clients will need to pay the difference if
they choose this option.
Note: This is to update that there are no liquor shops (alcoholic beverages) in Pahalgam,
Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Hotels in these regions does not serve liquor. Guests are requested to
carry liquor from Srinagar as there are only a few liquor shops in Srinagar.

Important Note
 In places like Pahalgam, new construction is banned to save ecology. In fact, it is so strict
in Pahalgam, that older hotels cannot be renovated or painted too. Thus, many hotels have
challenges with the interiors too.
 Pony owners have a strong hold in Gulmarg and Pahalgam and restrict our vehicles
travelling in these two villages. Guests have to listen to the instructions of the Drivers/
TMs and/or local guides in dealing with the locals.

 All passengers have to report 02 hrs prior to the departure due to security checking
at the airport.
 We reserve the right to re-arrange itinerary to suit hotel availability without
changing the total number of days in each destination and without compromising
any services.
 The vehicle used is non-air-conditioned and is available at trip wise not on
disposal subject to municipal limits. Clients are requested to follow the timings in
the program. In case any services are missed due to delay in departure, the
operator will not be responsible for any refunds.

 Our vehicle is not allowed in Gulmarg & Pahalgam for local sightseeing either the
client can hire a local vehicle or pony from the market for local sightseeing.
 Due to security reasons prepaid numbers are not working in Jammu and Kashmir
while as post-paid are working in entire Jammu and Kashmir
 Any dispute relating to or arising out of all or any one of the above stated terms
and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive Jurisdiction of Courts at Jammu.

Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Hotels in these regions does not serve liquor. Guests are
requested to carry liquor from Srinagar as there are only a few liquor shops in
