PAINT ME A WORD / ACT THE WORD

Act the word is a game of pantomimes, you have to "act out" a word without speaking,

your team members try to guess what the word is. Your team members must guess the

word as quickly as possible before time runs out.

What you need:

Charades Cards or pieces of paper with written word on

Timer

Container or box for each of the teams to place their charade papers in

Pen & paper to keep score


Mechanics:

 An equal number of charades papers are dealt to each team.

 A timer and score keeper will be the responsibility of the facilitators which will be essential.

 Players cannot speak, point at room objects, or move their lips.

 Only "acting out" words or pantomiming similar sounding words.

 One player in each team can see the charades paper to be acted out in each round.

 The team demonstrating the act choose their actor, no actor may act more than once until all

team members had a chance to be the actor.

 The actor has limited time (1-2 minutes) to act out the word to his own team.

 The team must guess what the player is acting out

 If the team can’t guess the word within a set of time limit, the next player can act the next

word and the game continues until all players have had a turn.

 The team with the most points and less time at the end of the game wins.
