Chapter wise important Question

I want to help you all in every way because

we can contribute in any way in the
development of the country which will be a
true tribute to the brave heroes and it will be a
my first priority to take the country to a new
height for which I have tried to convert some
of my ideas from social media and from my
educational academy into basalis in which the
safety of women, the education of daughters,
is the cause of terror from the country.
Protection of spirit and environment should be
our first priority! Hope you all get full support
in this.

Q.68 A business man has ₹ 600000 at his disposal and wants to purchase cows
and buffaloes to take up a business. The cost price of a cow is ₹ 20,000 and that
of a buffalo is ₹ 60000. The man can store fodder for the live stock to the
extent of 40 quintals per week. A cow gives 10 litres of milk and buffalo gives
20 litres of milk per day. Profit per litre of milk of cow is ₹ 5 and per litre of the
milk of a buffalo is ₹ 7. If the consumption of fodder per cow is 1 quintal and
per buffalo is 2 quintals a week, formulate the problem as a linear
programming problem to find the number of live stock of each kind the man
has to purchase so as to get maximum profit (assuming that he can sell all the
quantity of milk, he gets from the livestock).

Ans : Let x be the price of cows and y be the price of buffaloes. Number of cows and
buffaloes can’t be negative so, x≥ 0, y ≥ 0

According to 1’st condition: 20000x + 60000y ≤ 600000 or x + 3y ≤ 30….(i)

According to 2’nd condition: Since, cows and buffalo gives milk 10L per day for 7
days & 20L per day for 7 days respectively. And profit per litre of milk of cow is 5 Rs
& per litre of milk of buffalo is 7 Rs. Therefore, Profit for Cows =5×70=350Rs

Profit for Buffalo =7×140=980Rs Hence, Maximum profit z=350x+980y

The man can store fodder for the live stock to the extent of quintals per week. Here
it is also given that consumption of fodder per cow is quintal & per buffalo is
quintals a week. Using above conditions we get,7x + 14y ≤ 40…(ii)

We are formulating LPP using all conditions, Maximum z=350x + 980y Subject to
constraints 20000x + 60000y ≤ 600000 or x+3y ≤ 30…(i)

7x + 14y ≤ 40…(ii)

X ≥ 0,y ≥ 0

Q.69 Let, p : 25 is a multiple of 5. q : 25 is a multiple of 8, be two statements.

Write the compound statements with “And” and “or”. In both the cases check
the validity of the compound statements.

Ans :

Q.70 Write the contrapositive and converse of the following statements :

(i) If two lines are parallel, then they do not intersect in the same plane.

Ans : contrapositive

If two lines intersect in the plane then they are not parallel.

Converse

If two lines do not intersect in the same plane then they are parallel.

(ii) If x is a prime number, then x is odd.

Ans : If X is not odd, then x is not a prime number.
