Abstract

The Pet Medical Information System for CB Nacabuan (PMISCB) is an offline

application designed to make data from the CB Nacabuan Veterinary Clinic more
accessible and efficient. CB Nacabuan Veterinary clinic is located at Punta Tabuc Roxas
City, Phillipines.

The PMISCB primarily provides a means for veterinary clinics to expedite all
transactions and allow the clinic to use the system through the various features it
provides. The veterinary or administrator who has access to the computerized system can
update animal patient records, create reports for animal patients, analyze and diagnose
results, and print prescriptions and payments. Medical personnel or the Veterinarian's
secretary can obtain these by analyzing an analyzed symptom of a doctor diagnosed by
the doctor.

The waterfall method is being used because it is the best method for the system.
Because of its rigidity, each phase has a review stage that validates all of its stages,
determining whether the project continues or is discarded. Each step is modified to meet
the system's requirements. The waterfall model works well for small projects with well-
defined Pet Health Medical Information System requirements.

The researcher used the prototype process to guide the system's development,
ensuring an effective and useful outcome.

This research study provided a way of storing, monitoring, and gathering

information about pet clients' health. Because of the ease with which their records can be
found, the pet's immediate attention will be served immediately. Because of the
elimination of filing cabinets and the loss of records, space will be maximized while
maintaining file quality, and files will be replaced by a single computer and saved in
data-based format for easy patient data searching. Loyal customers will be easily

xi
retained, allowing the animal clinic to increase profits while minimizing and maintaining
costs.

In conclusion, tracking and updating the patient's record is critical for the
veterinary clinic because it allows them to easily analyze and diagnose the patient;
organizing files to easily manage and keep track of the record of the pet data and
information for fast and accurate generation of reports; and simply scheduling patient's
appointment at the clinic to avoid overcrowding and creating smooth transactions,
increasing the company transparency and progress. This can improve clinic management
efficiency and structure.
