Spotlight: Captain, Tactical officer

Setup: The Nelson recieves her new captain and crew. The ship is sturdy and has
undergone a full repair and recertification, including the installation of her new
emergency medical hologram. The ship's first assignment is to bring aboard Elim
Garak, president of the Cardassian Republic, and a large amount of emergency
supplies into Cardassian space. Their orders are to meet a Hideki class vessel (The
Damar) in the Amleth system before making their way to Cardassia Prime.

Development: The Damar will not be in Goralis, only a civilian freighter. While
waiting for the Damar the freighter will beam over assassins who will attempt to
kill Garak but will kill the Nelson's Executive Officer. Garak will refuse to
return to his homeworld until a full investigation can be conducted and Starfleet
can guarentee his safety. Preliminary investigation will show that the assassins
belonged to the Orion Syndicate. Starfleet will send over Commander Zhasha, an
expert in the Orion Syndicate.

The party will first have to travel to a war-ravaged Cardassian colony where the
syndicate is known to operate. They will have to wheel and deal with an
unscrupulous Ferengi to learn of a Syndicate outpost on the planet. There they will
have to either infiltrate or assault the base in order to uncover why the Orions
tried to kill Garak and where their staging ground is. The party will then head to
the staging ground hidden in the Badlands, constructed on the ruins of an old
Maquis base. There they will encounter one Orchid class vessel guarded by 2 Orion
fightercraft.
