GET TO SAFETY

The mission to eradicate all nearby enemies developed into a rightful massacre.
Although
the sheer size of the ship still housed countless foes, the local hive was almost
annihilated. If the soldiers moved fast enough, this victory would give them the
extra
breathing space required to accomplish further assignments.

The Alpha squad inspected their equipment making sure it had not suffered any
severe damage.
They took time to reload, and to contact the spaceship command to signal the
completion of
their mission, waiting for new orders. Without further delay, Commander Bellisar
sent the
squad deeper into the darkness. In spite of the evident threat that loomed ahead,
this was
the first mission that could actually result in something valuable. A R.A.T. spy
robot had
been dispatched to dive into the hidden depths of the ship. Within seconds of
connection
to the computer network, the R.A.T. had amassed all the required data about the
ship's
cryogenic systems: their exact location, and the security around them.

Once the R.A.T. had safely stored all the information, it disengages from the
network and
began working its way towards to outer decks. Alpha squad was ordered to meet up
with
the R.A.T. and get it out of harm's way. Commander Bellisar sent word for another
squad
to assist, to ensure the R.A.T. got out intact. Those narrow corridors gave very
little
space to move, and all available firepower would be more than welcome.

Bravo squad had also engaged the enemy. They were ambushed by the swarm the second
they had
entered the vessel, and several of its members had fallen in combat. Even if only
five brave
souls remained alive, the extra firepower they could provide was a gift of life to
the
exhausted Alpha group. Although the reinforcements could not arrive through the
same path,
one of many sleeping quarters on board offered the most promising rendezvous route.

The R.A.T. was in sight, now it was all a matter of getting it out in one piece to
secure
its invaluable data.
