Report on Outcomes of formal and informal meetings:

The outcomes of the meetings were positive. The plan was implemented appropriately and continuously
inspected by the operational manager. The Management system of WHS was followed according to the
new policies and procedure. For the safety of employees and to providing them a safe and healthy
environment Company decided to solve the current issues faced by the workers in workplace area, by
consulting the store Managers.

The Lollipop Shop will be a community-oriented establishment that brings people together for a sweet,
as well as healthy, experience.

The mission of The Lollipop Shop is to be valued as Melbourne’s favorite candy store chain, by selling
high quality products that everyone, including those who have special dietary requirements, will enjoy.

The main purpose of the Formal and Informal meeting was to give information to all staff members of
The Lollypop shop about WHS regulations and safety measurements, which are developed for the safety
of workers.
The current issues that company faces are:
 Manual lifting of cartons and boxes in the
 Manual handling of boxes and cartons
 Slips, trips and falls on the part of shelf stackers
 Electrical safety
 Cash handling problems, such as shortages and thefts
 Workers experiencing fatigue

The Agenda items that we prepare and discussed in the meeting is


Agenda Item 1: Discuss the Policy and procedure of Lollypop shop
● Providing and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment
● Ensuring that workplaces under the control of Lollypop shop are safe, without risk to health, and
have secure means of access and egress;
● Routinely consulting to maintain effective and cooperative relationships between company and its
workers and other duty holders on health and safety matters in the workplace and
● Reviewing the effectiveness of the safety measures taken.
Agenda Item 2: Discussion of Treatment plans
 Avoidance strategies – aims to minimize the likelihood of a risk arising
 Minimization strategies – seeks to reduce the impact of the risk; adopted when the risk has
happened and is a reality
 Contingency Plan – alternative procedures and processes that must be undertaken when a risk
becomes a reality
 Coordinate the handling of the crisis
 Ensure the use of alternative processes that will enable the continuity of the business
 Solve the problem to bring the processes and operations back to normal
Agenda Item 3: Review the implement process
Continuously review to monitor and improve control measures and find safer ways of doing things.
Methods of monitoring the implementation of controls include, but are not limited to:
 Interviews with workers/employees,
 Consultations,
 Inspections, and
 Updating the Risk Register.
Its effect the performance of employees and the outcomes of the implementation of management
process was positive.
