About Nabanna Scholarship
Kolkata, West Bengal Nabanna Scholarships are awarded to students who completed their Class
10 education in West Bengal by the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and Chief Minister's Discretionary
Fund. Every student wishes to continue their education beyond cla ss 10 but cannot because of
financial constraints. Thus, to assist all of these students, the West Bengal government offers
scholarships with amount of Rs. 10,000 to all chosen applicants. No deadline exists for the WB
Chief Minister Relief Fund (Nabanna) Scholarship 2024–2025; all applicants are welcome to submit
their applications anytime. Students can check their status of scholarship on the scholarship portal
and filling out the form provided.
Students must have an overall class 12 grade point average o f 50%, and their family's annual
income cannot be more than INR 1,20,000 to be eligible for the Nabanna scholarship.
Applicants for the Nabanan scholarship must have completed their UG, Higher Madhyamik, or
Madhyamik course with at least 50% of the possible points. For the 2023–24 session, online
applications are currently being accepted. For the year 2023 –2024, an online application gateway
for the Nabnna Scholarship has been made available. Henceforth, applications for the Chief
Minister's Relief Fund will only be accepted online at www.cmrf.wb.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

To be eligible for the Nabanna scholarship, a student must meet the following requirements:

1. Domicile: West Bengal should be the student's permanent home.

2. Education: The candidates must have passed their most recent exam from a West Bengali
university, board, or council that is recognized. Moreover, kids must be enrolled in an
approved school in West Bengal. To be eligible for the +2 level, they had to have completed
the Madhyamik (Class 10) exam with an approximate score of at least 50% but not more than
60%.

• A cumulative score in the above Secondary (Class 12) test for undergraduates of 50% or
above but less than 60%.
• A cumulative GPA of 50% or above but less than 53% at the postgraduate level.

3. Income: The student's family's yearly income should be at most INR 1,20,000.

4. Other: During the previous year, the candidates cannot have received any other federal,
state, or local government scholarships or stipends for the same course of study.

Process of Scholarships

The Nabanna scholarship application requires the applicant to download the Nabanna scholarship
PDF form, complete it, and mail it to the concerned address using a speed post. On the other hand,
the West Bengal government just introduced an application-specific website. Candidates can
complete the application online using the Chief Minister's Relief Fund website.
The scholarship program's application procedure is performed offline. It is advised that students
who are interested in applying for the scholarship program take the necessary actions listed below:

Nabanna Scholarship Apply Online

Many of you are considering applying for the Nabanna Scholarship; however, please know that the
application format is only accepted online. The Nabanna scholarship form no longer needs to be
downloaded offline. First, register on your Chief Minister's Relief Fund portal, fill ou t the online
form, and submit it. The procedure in detail is as follows:
Check Out the Official Website: First, visit www.cmrf.wb.gov.in, the recently launched Nabanna
Scholarship portal.
Choose Financial Aid: At this point, select the option to apply for financial assistance for education.
Go over the directions: Now, carefully read and adhere to all directions before clicking on I Agee.
Fresh Enrollment: Since this is your first application, you still need an account. Click. I still need to
register to make one.
Account Creation: To create an account, enter your phone number, confirm the OTP, choose a new
password, and click Sign up.
Dashboard Login: Click the login button after entering your password, captcha code, and registered
mobile number on the login screen.
Fill Out Basic Details: After entering your name, father's name, birthdate, age, district, pin code,
family income, email address, etc., click the submit button.
Complete the necessary fields: Complete Education Information: Enter the following i nformation
about the education course: name of the board or university, current course, details of the most
recent qualifying exam (10/12), total marks, etc.
Bank Information: After entering your bank's name, account number, and IFSC code, click the
submit button.
Upload Documents: Upload the required files, including a copy of the entrance receipt, a
recommendation/income certificate, a self-declaration, a Class 10 admit card, and a mark sheet.
Review and Submit Application: Check the information you provi ded and the documents you
supplied before clicking the submit button.
One will receive a reference ID after submitting your application; note it before downloading and
printing the Nabanna scholarship PDF application form.

Nabanna Scholarship Documents

The West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund awards the Nabanna Scholarship, which the West
Bengal government administers to benefit deserving candidates.
Therefore, the candidate's application must have a few genuine, required Nabanna scholarship
documents attached. Below is a compilation of essential documents.

3. Copy of current course fees book
4. Mark sheet copies of all previously passed exams
5. Copy of selection committee allocation letter (only for JEE or equivalent examination)
6. Family income certificate
7. Letter of recommendation from MP/MLA to the West Bengal Chief Minister, detailing the
student's monthly family income
8. Personal bank account information
9. A self-declaration from the student detailing their current course of study, including the year
and semester and whether they have received any scholarships or other financial aid, signed
with the seal of the head of the current institution.

Selection Procedure for Nabanna Scholarship

You must fulfill the following criteria to qualify for the Nabanna Schol arship grant.

• The selection of the candidate must be based on their grades or performance on the prior
test.
• The Chief Minister's office and the CMRF Cell will provide financial support to the students
under the terms of the scholarship.
• The students will receive the scholarship funds straight into the bank accounts through
Direct Bank Transfer.

Authorization and Payment

The application form is sent to the District Magistrate of the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, for
the necessary verification when it is received. In-depth background investigations are conducted in
addition to financial verification of the candidate.

Nabanna Scholarship Amount

(WBCMO) The West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund awards the Nab anna scholarship to
deserving pupils. The Nabanna scholarship is worth INR 10,000 each year for the chosen students.

• The Nabanna scholarship, granted to qualifying students, is worth INR 10,000 annually.
