About Nabanna Scholarship
Kolkata, West Bengal Nabanna Scholarships are awarded to students who completed their Class
10 education in West Bengal by the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and Chief Minister's Discretionary
Fund. Every student wishes to continue their education beyond cla ss 10 but cannot because of
financial constraints. Thus, to assist all of these students, the West Bengal government offers
scholarships with amount of Rs. 10,000 to all chosen applicants. No deadline exists for the WB
Chief Minister Relief Fund (Nabanna) Scholarship 2024–2025; all applicants are welcome to submit
their applications anytime. Students can check their status of scholarship on the scholarship portal
and filling out the form provided.
Students must have an overall class 12 grade point average o f 50%, and their family's annual
income cannot be more than INR 1,20,000 to be eligible for the Nabanna scholarship.
Applicants for the Nabanan scholarship must have completed their UG, Higher Madhyamik, or
Madhyamik course with at least 50% of the possible points. For the 2023–24 session, online
applications are currently being accepted. For the year 2023 –2024, an online application gateway
for the Nabnna Scholarship has been made available. Henceforth, applications for the Chief
Minister's Relief Fund will only be accepted online at www.cmrf.wb.gov.in.
2. Education: The candidates must have passed their most recent exam from a West Bengali
university, board, or council that is recognized. Moreover, kids must be enrolled in an
approved school in West Bengal. To be eligible for the +2 level, they had to have completed
the Madhyamik (Class 10) exam with an approximate score of at least 50% but not more than
60%.
• A cumulative score in the above Secondary (Class 12) test for undergraduates of 50% or
above but less than 60%.
• A cumulative GPA of 50% or above but less than 53% at the postgraduate level.
3. Income: The student's family's yearly income should be at most INR 1,20,000.
4. Other: During the previous year, the candidates cannot have received any other federal,
state, or local government scholarships or stipends for the same course of study.
Process of Scholarships
The application process for the Nabanna Schola rship is available here.
The Nabanna scholarship application requires the applicant to download the Nabanna scholarship
PDF form, complete it, and mail it to the concerned address using a speed post. On the other hand,
the West Bengal government just introduced an application-specific website. Candidates can
complete the application online using the Chief Minister's Relief Fund website.
The scholarship program's application procedure is performed offline. It is advised that students
who are interested in applying for the scholarship program take the necessary actions listed below:
• The selection of the candidate must be based on their grades or performance on the prior
test.
• The Chief Minister's office and the CMRF Cell will provide financial support to the students
under the terms of the scholarship.
• The students will receive the scholarship funds straight into the bank accounts through
Direct Bank Transfer.
• The Nabanna scholarship, granted to qualifying students, is worth INR 10,000 annually.
• The candidate's prior exam results and the family's financial situation are considered while
determining the recipient.
• The approval of the Nabanna scholarship amount as a prize is reviewed by th e CMRF (Cell
of the Chief Minister’s Office), and it takes three months or more to receive the scholarship
amount after the applicant applies.
