 Done no. of KAIZENs to improve the productivity/efficiency of the process lines.
 Managed the entire design, procurement, installation and commissioning of
Glass Tempering Furnace having Mitsubishi PLC’s communicating over CC
link-IE (Ring topology), E3 SCADA, GOT 2000 HMI’s over Ethernet, Mitsubishi
Motion Controller having 12 Servo Axes (A type), 36 Axes of Local Heater
communicating over CC-link
 Developed a grinding application of Glass using KUKA Robot (KR90, KRC4) &
ROBOWORKS
 Developed a vision application for Glass alignment (accuracy +/- 0.2mm) with
the help of Keyence Camera (XG 8000 Series) & Mitsubishi PLC.
 Installed and commissioned several YASKAWA & FANUC Robots used for
handling the application.
 Retrofit of a glass laminated furnace and changed its whole control system
(obsolete S5 SIEMENS PLC) to new one having S7-400 PLC resulting
increased productivity and efficiency.
 Retrofit of Glass final Inspection line and installed two FANUC robots, made the
process line completely automatic, resulting reduction of manpower, reduction
of handling rejections and increase in productivity/efficiency by cycle time
reduction.
 Done no. of retrofits and played a key role in turning around the under-
performing / loss-making project titled CRB Furnace & VT Furnace as a
profitable venture by adding robotic loading and reducing cycle time.
 Done no. of KAIZENs & made no. changes in the logic of Glass Printing
machine came from Cougher (ITALY) with Allen Bradley PLC & HMI, made it to
a zero breakdown machine.
 Developed an application with Cognex QR code reader (2D reader) to read the
QR code printed on the glass and to avoid mixing of different-2 models.
 Modified the conventional control loops with new technology in various sections
including Cutting, Grinding, Handling of Glasses, Heating Furnaces.
 Developed logic, interlock diagrams as per the requirement of process
operations and client feedback
 Identify areas of obstruction/breakdowns and initiate steps to rectify the
equipment using troubleshooting tools.
 Perform a wide range of activities including administering scheduling, analysis,
effort & cost estimation, resource procurement, deployment & allocation,
monitoring development activities

 Commissioned, with the help of a great team, $1.2 Billion hydro-power project at
Karcham-Wangtoo two months before the scheduled commissioning date. It
earned company $ 100 million in extra revenue.
 Was involved in Installation & Commissioning of MIV, Digital Turbine Governor
DCS (Make-SIEMENS, provided by Andtriz Hydro) and SCADA (PCS7,
provided by Voith Hydro).
 Developed some part of SCADA (PCS7) & some part of PLC logic.
 Was involved in laying of all the cables and its loop checking.
 Was involved in complete interconnection of all the accessories like HT/LT
