OBJECTIVE 1
Maintain learning environments that are responsive to community contexts.

1. How do you maintain a learning environment that is responsive to your community's

context? Describe the context in your area and share teacher practices that contribute to
further improvement of your community?

- To maintain a learning environment that is responsive to our community’s context, it is

very important to have a broad understanding of the local culture, values, needs and
challenges. And for me to be able to create a responsive learning environment we
should have a community engagement and collaboration with parents, local leaders, and
other stakeholders to understand the community's needs. Organize regular meetings,
surveys, and events to build a strong connection with the community. While, when it
comes in teaching, it's important to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the students
and the community. We use teaching materials and examples that our students can
reflect on its cultural background. Such as incorporate stories, texts, and traditions from
the community into our lessons to create a sense of belonging and respect. It is also part
of our duties and responsibilities to be a responsive discipline and support system.
Implement discipline policies that are fair and consistent, taking into account the unique
needs of the students and their backgrounds. Establish support systems for students
who may need additional assistance, whether it's academic or emotional. The mentioned
practices will help create a teaching environment that not only aims to impart knowledge
but also provides support and inspiration to students and their community.

Aside from creating a responsive learning environment we also have practices that we
teacher can contribute to improve the community. First, building relationships it is very
important to have a strong relationship with students, parents, and community members
to create a supportive and collaborative environment. Secondly, community involvement
we teachers we should be more actively participating in community events and activities
to show our faithful commitment and support. And lastly, feedback and adaptability were
both parties are seeking feedback that creates a give-and-take dynamic. These
practices can lead to a more responsive and effective learning environment, contributing
to the overall improvement of the community.
OBJECTIVE 2
Review regularly personal teaching practice using existing laws and regulations that apply to the
teaching profession and the responsibilities specified in the Code of Ethics for Professional
Teachers.

2. How do you develop your teaching practice in accordance with the existing laws that
apply to teaching and the responsibilities specified in the Code of Ethics for Professional
Teachers? How do you develop your teaching practice in accordance with existing
regulations?

- Developing my teaching practice in line with existing laws and the responsibilities
outlined in the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers involves a combination of
continuous learning, ethical awareness, and compliance with regulations. I begin by
familiarizing myself with the key laws that govern education in my region, such as child
protection policies, anti-discrimination laws, and safety regulations. Understanding these
legal frameworks is essential to ensure that my teaching practices meet all necessary
requirements. I also emphasize the importance of adhering to the Code of Ethics for
Professional Teachers, which guides my interactions with students, parents, and
colleagues. This includes treating all students with respect, fostering a positive and
inclusive classroom environment, and maintaining professional boundaries. I believe that
ethical behavior is the cornerstone of effective teaching, and I make a conscious effort to
reflect these values in my daily work.
In my classroom, I implement clear rules and procedures that align with school policies
and legal standards. I ensure that classroom management is consistent and fair,
documenting any incidents that require disciplinary action. This approach helps create a
safe and supportive learning environment while adhering to legal requirements. By
integrating these elements into my teaching, I aim to provide a high-quality education
while fulfilling my legal and ethical responsibilities as a professional teacher.

OBJECTIVE 3
Adopt practices that uphold the dignity of teaching as a profession by exhibiting qualities such
as caring attitude, respect and integrity.
3. In which practices do you show care, respect, and integrity to learners, colleagues, parents,
and other education stakeholders? How do these practices uphold the dignity of the teaching
profession?

- I show care, respect, and integrity to learners, colleagues, parents, and other education
stakeholders by cultivating a classroom environment rooted in empathy and
understanding. With learners, I prioritize their individual needs by providing personalized
support and creating a safe space where they can express themselves. I listen actively,
encourage open communication, and celebrate their achievements, big or small. This
approach fosters mutual respect and helps build trust with my students. For my
colleagues, I believe in collaborative teamwork and open dialogue. I share resources,
offer help when needed, and respect diverse perspectives. By fostering a spirit of
cooperation, I contribute to a positive work environment where everyone feels valued.
When it comes to parents, I maintain open lines of communication and engage them in
their children's learning journey. I send regular updates, invite them to participate in
school events, and listen to their concerns, ensuring they feel heard and respected. I
attend meetings, participate in school activities, and contribute to community projects,
demonstrating my commitment to my profession. These practices uphold the dignity of
the teaching profession by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and
professionalism. When learners, colleagues, parents, and stakeholders see that I
approach my work with a genuine sense of care and integrity, it not only enhances my
credibility but also elevates the overall perception of the teaching profession. By
modeling these values, I hope to inspire others to do the same, creating a ripple effect
that contributes to a more respectful and dignified educational community.

4. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of hiring an internal and external candidate.
Give an example of when you don’t think an external candidate should be considered for a
position.

- When considering whether to hire an internal or external candidate, it's important to

consider the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. Hiring an internal
candidate has the advantage of familiarity with the company's culture, systems, and
processes. They are likely to integrate more quickly and understand the organization's
dynamics, which can lead to a smoother transition. Additionally, internal promotions can
boost employee morale and show that the company values career growth and internal
development. However, one disadvantage is that internal candidates may have a limited
perspective, lacking fresh ideas and external experience that could benefit the company.

On the other hand, hiring an external candidate can bring in new skills, knowledge, and
innovative approaches. External hires might offer a broader perspective from different
industries or companies, potentially leading to creative solutions and enhanced problem-
solving. The downside is that they might take longer to adapt to the company culture and
establish relationships with existing employees. There's also a higher risk that they might
not fit in or align with the company's values.

An example of when an external candidate should not be considered for a position is

when the role requires a deep understanding of the company's internal processes and a
high level of trust among the team. For instance, if you're hiring for a senior leadership
position where internal relationships and knowledge of company-specific protocols are
crucial, promoting from within is often the better choice. In such cases, an external
candidate might struggle to establish credibility and build trust with long-standing
employees, potentially leading to disruption and decreased team morale.
OBJECTIVE 4
Participate in professional networks to share knowledge and to enhance practice.

5. What co-curricular and/or extra-curricular organizations and/or activities did you participate in,
that enabled you to share your knowledge and enhance your teaching practice? How did
your membership in this organization/ participation in this activity contribute to your
professional development?

- As an educator, I've always been drawn to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities

that allow me to connect with students outside the traditional classroom setting while
simultaneously enhancing my teaching practice. One such activity I participated in was
the school's drama club, where I helped students develop their acting and stagecraft
skills. Through my involvement in this club, I had the opportunity to share my knowledge
of literature, communication, and teamwork in a creative environment.

This participation contributed to my professional development in several ways. First, it

allowed me to strengthen my rapport with students by interacting with them in a more
relaxed and collaborative setting. The creative nature of drama also encouraged me to
think outside the box, inspiring new teaching techniques that I could bring back to the
classroom. Moreover, my role in guiding students through various projects improved my
leadership and project management skills, which are essential in any teaching role.
Being part of this club broadened my perspective on education, reinforcing the idea that
learning isn't confined to a classroom—it can happen anywhere there's passion and
enthusiasm. Overall, my involvement in the drama club helped me become a more
versatile and empathetic teacher.
