Plan of Action:

4 OCT 11 NLT 2100: Send a copy of this OIC Sheet to CDT Palmer for further guidance. Create memorandum to send to Lane Walkers so there is no question on what needs to be contained in the Lane Book. (Remember: 6 lanes will use most of the pieces

created last year) 1) Lane Concept Page A general explanation of how the lane will operate. Explains the purpose and course of action during the lane. Also this sheet will include the OPFOR purpose and intent, as well as any safety considerations that may occur during the lane. 2) Execution Page This page first states the distance and direction that the cadets will travel, and names the objective that they will approach. This page must also include a step-by-step course of action that cadets are EXPECTED to maintain throughout the lane. This will include statements such as Once the squad approaches the objective they will then... 3) Map of Lane This will be an aerial drawing of the lane. Make sure to include the distance and direction, and all important terrain features. In this drawing utilize a Key or Legend to depict the Start point, objective, buildings, Skookums, etc. 4) OPORD This will be a full 5 paragraph operations order. 5) STX Road to War page This is a faux description of the enemy in the area, and the cultural aspects cadets need to be aware of while conducting operations in Atropia. This should be the same in every lane walker book. 6) STX Time line Overall time line for the STX Operation, designed in an H+ manner. This will be a time line for ONE lane, not the entire day of STX. This time line will give an EXPECTED outline for time hacks that the MSIII squad leader should follow, as well as definitive hard times for such movements as issuing the OPORD, beginning the AAR and moving to the next lane. 7) LDP Roster For STX lanes 8) SQD Assignments This will include which cadets are assigned to each squad. This WILL include MSIIIs, MSIIs, and MSIs. (Cadet Caless needs to be referenced for final number of those attending FTX) Once the final roster of those in attendance of FTX is received, the MSIIs and MSIs can be filled into the existing squads MSIIIs have already been placed in. 9) Lane Smart Cards This sheet will be a spreadsheet where each row contains information for each STX lane. In the vertical columns, the following information will need to be stated for each lane:

1. Start grid 2. End grid 3. Azmuth 4. Distance 5. ICOM Channel 6. OPFOR Rounds 7. OPFOR Equipment 8. Lane # 9. Type of lane (MTC, Ambust, RECON, etc) 10) Evaluation Smart Card This spreadsheet will show which MSIIIs are on what lane at what time, and what position they will hold, as well as which MSIV will be evaluating them. 11) Squad Rotation Smart Card Outlines which squad will be on which lane during which rotation. 12) OPFOR Roster Which MSIV (and MSIs) will be OPFOR on which lane 13) FTX Company leadership LDP 14) Composite Risk Management worksheet
