ABSTRACT
Typing Speed Calculator using Python is used to determine the typing speed of
its user. Typing Speed Calculator is an application for calculating the accuracy
and typing speed of its user. The system provides its user a specific paragraph
which must be typed by its user. The following presentation provides the
specification of the program.
Typing is now an essential part of almost every job imaginable. It helps you
complete your work faster and more efficiently, be comfortable with the
computer, and help to communicate with co-workers and superiors. Trying to
type something for long periods of time can cause fatigue and also restlessness,

Typing Speed Calculator as a project is based on relevant Technologies. The main
aim of this project is to develop a software which capable for a typing speed
Calculator. This project has been developed to carry out the process easily and
effectively. This project is developed using Python. Speed typing is the ability to
type using all your fingers, without looking at the keyboard. This a valuable skill
for employers because it enables employees to produce and edit text at a much
faster speed than usual. It also means that finished work has a greater level of

3.Specifications OF Program
In this project, we have created a program to test the typing speed of the user
with a basic GUI application using Python language. Here the Python libraries
like tkinter and time are used for the GUI and Calculation of time for speed
testing respectively. Also, the Random function is used to fetch the random
words for the speed testing calculation. Firstly, all the libraries are imported that
are installed as mentioned above, and using the bottom-up approach the
programming for testing the typing speed using python is created. In the above
code, we first create the speed testing window using Tkinter. The function is
defined for calculating and printing the correct output after the user input. A
specific list of words is provided to the user to type and test the speed of typing.
