CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

Adopting a new technology always takes a little effort, and it can sometimes be

difficult to know which new systems will actually be worth the trouble. A reservation

management system is a digital application that securely collects and stores your

property’s bookings. Property operators use the software to access past, present and

future reservations, which they can then manage accordingly

Patient Appointment and Information System was a system that can be used in

Pet Professional Veterinary Clinic to give admin the ability to manage securely from the

comfort of their own home. Since, we are still in midst of pandemic and the fear of

COVID-19 was still there.

This study aims to develop and design Patient Appointment and Information

System so innovative for pet professional owners. Reservation management systems

address all of those problems, centralize all of your important information and also make

it easy to manage, which takes a huge load off of your shoulders and promotes sales

(Resmark, 2020).

As well as pet professional’s reservation management system, Pet Professional

Veterinary Clinic admin processes to cut down on administration time and give them

back some much-needed hours.

With Patient Appointment and Information System, will no longer have to spend

owner’s evenings and weekends chained to the computer.

CONTEXT OF THE STUDY

The Capstone project titled "Patient Appointment and Information System of Pet

Professional Veterinary Clinic" aims to develop a software system specifically designed

to address the needs of a veterinary clinic specializing in pet care. The system will focus

on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of appointment and information

management processes within the clinic.

One of the key components of the system will be its appointment management

feature. It will provide a user-friendly interface for pet owners and staff of veterinary

clinic to easily manage schedule appointments for check-up. They will be able to view

available time slots, select a suitable appointment time, and manage walk in check-up.

This streamlined process will save time for both pet owners and clinic staff. Additionally,

veterinarians and clinic staff will have access to the appointment schedule, allowing them

to make adjustments as needed and send reminders to both clients and colleagues.

The system will also serve as a comprehensive repository for patient information.

It will store and manage detailed profiles for each pet, including their name, breed, age,

and medical history. This centralized database will make it easy for authorized personnel

to access and update

patient information as necessary. Medical records, laboratory test results, and treatment

plans can also be stored within the system, ensuring that all relevant information is

readily available during appointments or for future reference.

Furthermore, Clinic staff will be able to generate records, and manage financial

records associated with appointments and treatments. This integration will streamline the

administrative processes, making it easier for both the clinic and pet owners to handle

financial aspects.

The system will also provide reporting and analytics capabilities. It will generate

insights and metrics related to clinic operations, appointment trends, patient

demographics, and other relevant data. These reports will help the clinic optimize

resource allocation, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions to

enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the clinic.

In conclusion, the "Patient Appointment and Information System of Pet

Professional Veterinary Clinic" Capstone project aims to develop a software system that

will revolutionize the appointment and information management processes within the

veterinary clinic. By providing a user-friendly interface, centralized patient information,

and, the system will improve the overall experience for pet owners, streamline

administrative tasks for clinic staff, enhance patient care, and contribute to the efficient

operation of the veterinary clinic.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The proposed study aims to answer the following problems:

GENERAL PROBLEM:

The inefficient and manual management of appointments and patient information

within the veterinary clinic.

SPECIFIC PROBLEM:

1. Appointment Scheduling and Coordination without a centralized system,

scheduling appointments and coordinating between pet owners, veterinarians,

and clinic staff can be time-consuming and prone to errors.

2. Limited Access to Patient Information in a paper-based or fragmented

information management system, accessing and updating patient information

becomes cumbersome. Veterinarians and staff members may struggle to find

and review medical records, leading to inefficiencies in diagnosing and

treating pets.

3. Difficulties in managing patient’s appointments and manual processing of

patient’s inquiries of clinic services offered.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

The main objective of this study is to develop a Patient Appointment and

Information System that used by Pet Professionals Clinic at 1028 bldg., Bermejo St.

Brgy, Cabatuan, 5033 Iloilo to assist clients for the convenient and to ease the manual

managing of appointment and patient’s information.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:

1. Develop a system that will Streamlined Appointment Management the system

provides an intuitive interface for pet owners to schedule appointments online,

reducing the need for manual coordination. The centralized appointment

schedule allows staff members to manage appointments efficiently, avoiding

conflicts and improving overall scheduling accuracy.

2. Develop a system that will Centralized and Accessible Patient Information the

system serves as a centralized database for patient information, enabling quick

and easy access to medical records, treatment history, and other essential

details. This facilitates better diagnosis, treatment planning, and ensures that

veterinarians have comprehensive information at their fingertips.

3. Develop a system that can ease the difficulties in managing patient’s

appointment information.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The "Patient Appointment and Information System of Pet Professional Veterinary

Clinic" can bring specific benefits to the following:

Pet Professionals. The result of the study would provide more efficient and

effective processing of data. It would also result to faster easier generation of the

preparedness of services. Hence, the system will notify if there was a reservation that day

or in a specific time of the day.

Owner. The study will provide all the necessary reports of all the transactions and

will not cause the delay of submission of needed reports to the owner or the manager.

Researcher. The conduct of the study helped the researcher to work

independently. Researcher was able to practice her gained knowledge in System Analysis

and Design (SAD).

Pet Owners. This study will provide the pet owners a more secure and reliable

transaction because it will save time and effort rather than doing it manually.

Future Researcher. The project would serve as future reference or guide to

the future developers who intended to develop a related system.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

The scope of the "Patient Appointment and Information System of Pet

Professional Veterinary Clinic" project encompasses the development and

implementation of a comprehensive software system tailored to the specific needs of a

veterinary clinic specializing in pet care. The system will include modules for

appointment management, patient information storage, and reporting and analytics

capabilities. It aimed to streamline clinic operations, improve patient care, enhance

communication with pet owners, and optimize financial management within the clinic.

However, there were certain limitations to consider for this project. Firstly, the

system's effectiveness relied on the availability and reliability of internet connectivity.

Any disruptions or limitations in internet access may impact the system's functionality

and the ability to perform tasks online, such as appointment scheduling or accessing

patient information.

Moreover, the system's scalability and adaptability were considered to

accommodate future growth and technological advancements within the veterinary clinic.

It should be designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for the integration of additional

features, modules, or interfaces as the clinic expands its services or adopts new

technologies.

Lastly, the project's scope may be limited to the specific requirements and

resources of the veterinary clinic for which it is developed. Customization for different

clinics or scaling to a larger network of clinics may require additional development

efforts and considerations.

Despite these limitations, the project's scope held the potential to significantly

improve the efficiency of appointment and information management, enhance patient

care, strengthen client engagement, and contribute to the overall success of the veterinary

clinic.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Appointment. An arrangement for a meeting. ([Link])

In this study the term used “appointment” refers to an scheduled check-up

appointment in the veterinary clinic.

Information. knowledge that you get about someone or something: facts or details about a

subject. ([Link])

In this study the term used “Information” refers to a detailed gather from patient

and their appointment details.

Patient. an individual awaiting or under medical care and treatment.

In this study the term used “Patient” refers to a client of the veterinary clinic that

needs some services of the clinic.

Pet Professional. A component of the pet care market, which includes services

exclusively meant for pet care activities, like pet grooming, pet walking, pet

sitting, pet transportation, and pet boarding. (Mordor Intelligence, 2023)

In this study the term used “Pet professional” refers to the care provided and

medical treatment for pets, known to be one of the most trusted

and professional pet services in Cabatuan.

Veterinary clinic. Vet clinics are what would be considered the most common kind

of pet care facility. Vet clinics focus on preventative medicine and wellness

checks for your pets and are able to perform minor surgical procedures.

In this study the term used “Veterinary Clinic” refers to clinic or a facility in

Cabatuan that can cater checkup services and care for pets.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND WORKS

Related Works

According to Dr. Rocel S. Cantila-Sanogal (November 10, 2018), one

of the owners and a veterinarian, they are experiencing difficulties

collected and stored records for their clients' pets; they search it manually using

their printed forms, which include an ascending pet number. The next

appointment or check-up for the pet is written in the pet's record form and

manually notified by front desk personnel via text message. The monitoring of

their sales and inventories is done manually; they used a piece of paper to list down

their items inside the clinic, which included medicines, dogfood, and grooming

items. They do have their own receipts with two copies, one for the client and one for

their own records, at their point of sale. They keep it up so that by the end of the month

or week, they can total their sales for their income report.

Animal Health System: Pet Health Clinic by Afida Binti Amin, 2017.

Nowadays, with the advancement in the world of technology, specifically in

Information and Communication Technology fields, such as the internet, wireless

network,

communication technology, many business parties had incorporated these technologies in

their daily business conduct. They believe that the advancement of technology will surely

bring good if they can appropriately be incorporated them into business conduct. As such,

many business people had involved IT developer in applying IT into their businesses. The

idea of creating this Animal Health System is basically from the respond that I get from

other people. The problem arises if the client/customer losses or damage the vaccination

card. If the card damage because it soaks in water, then the date of last vaccination cannot

be detected. However, if the clinic has a proper system to store all the important

information, then it should be no problem for everyone. Besides that, by having this

system client/customer can fill up online appointment form just right from their desk.

Besides giving out medical treatment, Pet Health Clinic also provides other services such

as pet hotel, pet grooming and pet import and export. There are online forms available for

boarding reservation and pet grooming in this website. The goal of this system stated

clearly like why this system is being developed and what it can do. For this system, Rapid

Prototyping methodology was being chosen as it helps the system to meet the

requirement faster. Other than that, the system interfaces are being showed with their

functionalities, for both clients and administrators.

Veterinary Clinic Management System

According to SALEH SULAIMAN S ALDHUBAYB (2020) A prerequisite to the

development of an efficient animal health, food safety and traceability management

system in the animal food production chain is the implementation of an integrated

veterinary informational management system (VIMS) capable for the capture, storage,

analysis and retrieval of data and providing the opportunity for the cumulative gathering

of the knowledge and capability for its competent interpretation. Such a system will

enable collecting appropriate data, including quality management and inspection controls,

from all establishments and commodities in the farm to food production chain (farms,

holdings, slaughterhouses, laboratories, traders etc.) in a structured, predefined format,

and facilitate competent analyses and reporting of such data, as well as the improvement

of the existing programs and strategies. The role of information system in animal disease

diagnosis, surveillance and notification, control of national and international trade of

commodities, food safety management, investigation of diseases, predictive microbiology

and quantitative risk assessment is of great importance for the quality of veterinary

service. Integral part of the VIMS is animal disease notification system designed

according to and in compliance with international requirements, standards and

recommendation and able to exchange relevant information with similar information

systems. The aim of this contribution is to describe national animal disease notification

system.

A system for management of a veterinary clinic. To make easier the administration of

clients, employees, consultation (animal care), services and products. Providing the

following basic features: animals, owners and employees registration, services and

products maintenance also management of the consults.

Veterinary clinic management system with SMS notification

According to Nur Fatihah Nadirah Ali (January 1, 2017) Nowadays, information

system play an important role to the business organization as it support the operations and

decision making within the organization. Healthcare is the one of organization that need

information system in other to improve the quality of care. However, not all healthcare

organization in Malaysia implementing the information system such as veterinary clinic.

The problems had been identified based on the interview session with the staff of the

Family Veterinary Clinic and the researcher successful resolve the problem. All of the

problem facing by the stakeholder is due to the manual system that handle the clinic daily

operation.

Hence, the problem faced by the clinic are difficulty in organize patient’s

information as the patients need to fill up the registration form manually and the data are

kept on file and stored in the cabinet. Another problem facing by the clinic are difficulty

in checking the availability of the appointment which the staff need to record the

appointment information in the appointment book. The last problem faced by the clinic is

difficulty in calculating medicine stock as the staff need to manually count the quantity of

the medicine. When the certain medicine reached a minimum quantity the staff need to

order with the supplier.

Therefore, one of the solutions is to develop the clinic management system for the

Family Veterinary Clinic. In other to develop a system, there are four objectives that need

to be achieve which are to gather and analyze requirements from the Family Veterinary

Clinic, to design the veterinary clinic management system with SMS notification for

Family Veterinary Clinic, to develop the veterinary clinic management system with SMS

notification for Family Veterinary Clinic and to test the functionality of the web based the

veterinary clinic management system for Family Veterinary Clinic.

The methodology that will be used to achieve the objectives is iterative waterfall

model. In this methodology, the four phase involves are requirement gathering and

analysis, design, implementation and testing. This system cover all the basic module

includes owner and pet management module, treatment module, appointment module and

medicine stock module. A SMS reminder is added in this system as a feature to remind

the patient that tends to forget their appointment. Hence, a Veterinary Clinic Management

System is completely develop on web based application platform that have a SMS

reminder feature.

SYNTHESIS OF THE STUDY

The study focuses on the development and implementation of a software system

specifically tailored to the needs of a veterinary clinic specializing in pet care. The

system comprises several key components, including appointment management, patient

information storage, automated reminders and notifications, integrated billing and

payment processes, and reporting and analytics capabilities.

By implementing this system, the veterinary clinic can significantly enhance its

operations and provide better care to its patients. The appointment management feature

streamlines the scheduling process, reduces conflicts, and optimizes resource allocation,

leading to increased efficiency and improved patient flow. Pet owners benefit from the

convenience of online appointment booking and automated reminders, ensuring they stay

The system's centralized database ensures that patient information is readily

planning, and overall patient care. The automated reminders and notifications feature

promotes proactive communication with pet owners, enabling better engagement and

compliance with treatment plans and preventive care measures. Moreover, the integration

of billing and payment modules streamlines financial transactions, reduces errors, and

improves overall financial management within the clinic.

In conclusion, the synthesis of the study underscores the potential of the "Patient

Appointment and Information System of Pet Professional Veterinary Clinic" to

revolutionize the appointment and information management processes within the

veterinary clinic setting. By streamlining operations, improving patient care, enhancing

communication with pet owners, and

optimizing financial management, the system contributes to the overall success of the

clinic and the well-being of the pets under its care.

CHAPTER III

REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

This section provides the operational framework of the system. In the proposed

system the data flow diagram can summarizes the details of the systems users and their

interaction with the system.

Figure 1 Shows the Data flow diagram of the Proposed System. In this data flow

diagram, you will see the general process done in Veterinary online appointment system.

This will also serve as a guide as you go through the deeper processes of the Veterinary

online appointment system data flow diagrams. As you see, when you build the levels of

data flow diagrams, the connections of the transactions and data also broadens and gets

more specific.

In figure 2 Next to the data flow diagram level 0 is data flow diagram level 1

Which is the content of this data flow diagram level 1 must be single process node from

DFD level 0. In this level the display further processing information. These procedures

require information such as appointments details of the patient, type of services and

manage patient’s appointments from which served as the bases for patients and admin to

manage the Veterinary online appointment system. This type of data is represented by a

data store with being knowledgeable about the DFD level 1 of the Veterinary online

appointment system, you will know then its broaden context terms.

In addition to that, this may also serve as your reference on how the inputs or data

fed on the system. Then you will be also informed about the outputs that the system

gives.

These processes shown in the DFD were all based on the concept of Veterinary

online appointment system.

Figure 2. shows the data flow diagram level 1.

In figure 3 Next to the level 1 data flow diagram is data flow diagram level 2

which is presents the user request is on processing. The admin is collecting appointment

details of the patient and type of services want by the user to avail that stores in the

database of Veterinary appointment system.

Methods

The researchers gathered first some relevant information to start their study. The

Web Development Process was used as guide in going through the study. The researchers

then followed the following steps: (1) gathering of the system requirements; (2) designing

the

software as web-based application; (3) developing the program; (4) testing it for bugs

and; (5) developing continuously the program again. The researchers mainly used trial

and error method in developing the Patient Appointment and Information System for Pet

Professional Veterinary Clinic

Sources of Information

The researchers gathered information by using their own observation and

interviewed to the Patients/customer of Pet Professional and Veterinary doctor. They also

gathered some useful information on how the modern technology helps them if that

system applied to their Clinic and how it lessens their work in the office and manage it.

Procedures

A Web Application is any application that gives convenient knowledge anytime,

anywhere via an internet browser. A Web Application is a client-server programming

application in which the client accesses to the application in an internet browser (ComX,

2019). Moreover, any web application is designed and developed using the six stages of

the Web Application Development.

Since the Patient Appointment and Information System for Pet Professional

Veterinary Clinic is a web-based application that can be accessed online/offline by the

users and admin of veterinary clinic to update, manage, book for appointment and

approve request, it must go through the six stages of the Web Application Development

for its design and development which are:

Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Implementation, (4) Testing, (5) Release, (6)

Maintenance

Analysis

The analysis phase of the web development process model is important

for understanding the goals of a website and how those goals can be achieved. During

this phase, web developers work with clients to understand their needs and determine the

best way to meet those needs.

During the analysis phase, a researcher is responsible for gathering and analyzing

information about the problem or opportunity that the software is being developed to

address. This may involve conducting interviews with stakeholders and users, reviewing

existing data and systems, and studying industry and market trends.

The researcher will then use this information to create requirements,

specifications, and a plan for the project. This phase of the SDLC is critical for ensuring

that the software being developed will meet the needs of the users and deliver the desired

outcomes.

Design

The design phase is a stage where software developers define the technical details

of the product. Depending on the project, these details can include screen designs,

databases, sketches, system interfaces, and prototypes. Clients use these details to make

final product design choices.

In this stage, the researchers were able to visualize what the website will look

like. They also created a blueprint which they think an ideal to be used by the office and

at the same time for its direct users.

Implementation

The implementation of the software development life cycle is the third phase of

the SDLC process. The implementation phase, also known as the "coding" or

"development" phase, is the third phase in the software development life cycle (SDLC).

During this phase, the software is actually built and coded according to the specifications

and design developed in the previous phases. This phase includes a number of tasks

Configuring and setting up the system, the implementation phase is a critical stage in the

development of the veterinary appointment system, as it is where the software is actually

built and coded, and it is important that user requirements and specifications are met, as

well as to make sure that the system is functional and user-friendly.

Testing

Every software app includes bugs even after it is completed, and that’s why

software testing is an unavoidable component of web app development and software

development. Regressive testing processes ensure that the generated program is entirely

bug-free and capable of handling a high number of users. Web app software testing can

be done from a variety of angles, but they always fall into these categories: Automated

testing, Manual testing, User experience testing, Functional testing, Performance testing,

Security testing, Device and platform testing.

In this phase the researcher is completely developed and assemble the software they used

in the system. This where the proponent is done testing the system into final deployment

to see if the system is reaching the target output It is then deployed to the user of the

system, to conducted user training on how to operate the system.

Release

The release or deployment phase is the final stage in the software development

life cycle (SDLC). During this phase, the software is made available to the users, either

by installing it on their computers or by making it available on a network or the internet.

In this stage the researcher now finally deploys or release the system in clinic

/community this would happen after previous phase of development it involves

monitoring process if there’s a bug in the system during the deployment.

Maintenance

The maintenance phase of the SDLC occurs after the product is in full operation.

Maintenance of software can include software upgrades, repairs, and fixes of the software

if it breaks.

In this phase after the development process and deployment is done the researcher

is keep on tracking the system if there’s a bug in the system or error the developer will

keep on maintenance to the system.

The diagram below is the SDLC of the project entitled (“Patient Appointment and

Information System for Pet Professional Veterinary Clinic”).

Figure 11 shows the Input, Process, and Output (IPO) model of the proposed

system wherein inputs are categorized into data, software, and hardware requirements.

The process is to design and develop the Patient Appointment and Information System

for Pet Professional Veterinary Clinic. That can store, update, read and delete the patients

request and transaction the system that the doctor and staff can manage the system. The

output is the Patient Appointment and Information System for Pet Professional

Veterinary Clinic.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

The architectural design of the proposed system contained the whole illustration

of the program found in the system. It showed the modular program structure and

relationships between forms and represented the functions of the software in the

System for Pet Professional Veterinary Clinic. Figure 14 shows the Home page of the

proposed system. This page provides an option whether you will log in as an Admin

(Clerk).

Figure 14 showed the Log-In Form. It allowed the user of the system which was

the staff to record all about the appointment and reminders. It allowed the staff to access

restricted and authorized data on the system. The username and password should be

known only by the admin or staffs to proceed on the system. Also, it allowed resetting the

password when the user forgot their password with the used of identification number.

DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING

The development part is the most significant part of the web app development

process. This stage aims to build an app that fits the goals specified in the last steps. The

development process can begin once the product requirements document has been

established. Because needs might change and new implementation ideas emerge during

this phase, it’s best to utilize a methodology that permits flexibility and proactivity. To

implement all features, the product specifications documents should be utilized, and an

effective process should be used to ensure that the programs behave as required by the

specification report. TDD is one method for ensuring that tests are prepared for testing

and imitating real-world behavior. In the web app development process, testing helps

performers in comprehending the code’s aims and facilitates the distribution process.

Excellent code coverage has been shown to reduce errors and is evidence of the best

design for post-production support, maintenance, and system evolution. The proposed

system was developed through the use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP with

MariaDB as its Database.

DESCRIPTION OF PROTOTYPE

The system is a web based project which can be access thru online by clinic staff,

veterinary doctor and client of the clinic. The proposed system was developed through

the use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP with MariaDB as its Database.

The proposed system is a user friendly with a good interface that the resident can easily

operate and understand the function of

the whole system. Even the staff of the clinic can easily operate the system. The proposed

system can be access thru your laptop, personal computer, and even in your mobile phone

thru browsing in the internet browser or chrome. The veterinary clinic appointment web

system is a web based project which can access by the user wherever they are using any

gadgets or device that can access thru internet.

Hardware specification

For the hardware specification of the system, it must have greater capacity and

flexibility. In the development of the proposed system, the researchers have found the

needed minimum hardware requirements which was the following:

Software Specification

The proposed system was developed through the use of HTML, CSS, Javascript,

and PHP with Xampp as its Database.

Software Description
PHP is an extremely popular scripting language that is used to create dynamic web
pages. PHP is supported by all web servers and widely used with the MYSQL
database.
Javascript a scripting languages, primarily used on the Web. It is used to enhance HTML
pages and is commonly found embedded in HTML code.
CSS This style sheet is used to format the layout of Web Pages. They can be used to
define text styles, table sizes, and other aspects of web pages that previously
could only defines in a pages HTML.

Html HTML is the language used to create webpages. "Hypertext" refers to


the hyperlinks that an HTML page may contain. "Markup language" refers to the
way tags are used to define the page layout and elements within the page.
Xampp is a short form for Cross-Platform, Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Perl. XAMPP is a
free and open-source cross-platform web server.
Vs Code Visual Studio Code is a streamlined code editor with support for development
operations like debugging, task running, and version control. It aims to provide
just the tools a developer needs for a quick code-build-debug cycle and leaves
more complex workflows to fuller featured IDEs, such as Visual Studio IDE.

Clinic Staff Clinic Staff is an appointed staff in the clinic with specific duties
and responsibilities depending on clinic position.
Veterinary Doctor Veterinary Doctor is the doctor assign in the clinic.
Client Client person who need a medical service for their pet.

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

This Patient Appointment and Information System for Pet Professional Veterinary

Clinic is a web-based Appointment, Information and management system that would help

the patients, staff and doctor. It helps the staff and doctor to manage the patient’s

information and patients request in the system. This veterinary clinic appointment system

is implemented through the help of the web browser by simply typing or searching the

system URL. After the user access its URL, it would be directed to the landing page and

for admin log in form where the admin should enter the password of the system, and once

it is correct, it will proceed to the main form where the admin can edit, delete, add,

upload, view, and update a specific detail.

The table below is the sample of implementation table of the system.

CHAPTER IV

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

During the systems testing, as what mentioned earlier, the system worked as

intended. Admin could not be able to use the system or could not access the system

without an account registered for it. The registration, appointment service, confirmation

of appointment, and responsive system to the needs of the clients were tested and

verified, and they functioned properly. The systems managing, adding, and generating

using crud operation and sending notification worked very well and produced accurate

results.

The researcher has designed and developed the Veterinary clinic appointment

system which is very accessible and efficient for users. The system is very easy to use.

The researchers have also presented the list of function for each clients and

admin. A client is capable of accessing the system as long as he/she is open the

appointment system. The admin could be able to manage the system, manage client’s

information and appointment request, manage service request, and other inquiries of the

client of the clinic.

CHAPTER V

SUMMARY, CONCLUSSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presented the overall concept of the project study. The summary

contained about the activities of the group had done in the development stage of the

system. The conclusion contained about what the group had come up during interviews,

data gathering and observations. The recommendation contained the benefits of the

system and the reason why the organization had to implement or adopt the system. The

group gives all a lot of time and effort to make the project successful and to present it

well.

Summary

The group started conducting an interview with the staff of Pet Professional in

Cabatuan, Iloilo. The information gathered was analyzed to enhance the ability to cater

the place reservations securely. The main purpose of the study served a useful purpose in

the reservation and reminders of the appointments. The said, firms could provide an ease

of information gathering in support of selecting services, give accurate and reliable

reservations and give an efficient online reservation.

The problem was identified and our group came up the solution. The group first

installs the Sams driver, an amateur collection of programs designed to search for missing

and outdated drivers as well as to install the latter automatically. The browser was also

used to search the link of the system.

Conclusion

Patient Appointment and Information Management System for Pet Professionals

had met objective and the problem identified by the group. The primary objective of

Patient Appointment and Information Management System to provide pet owners in

inquiring services at Pet Professionals with accurate information about available

appointment recommendation and allow reservations of chosen services without errors

and without creating conflicts and make it easy for pet owners to make online

reservations.

In this way, the staff in charge could accept reservation faster the data to be

efficient in the use of time. There were also problems in finding the Veterinary

Appointment system provided by the link, where the group provided the solution by

installing the SAMS Driver to assist this problem. By the used of Patient Appointment

and Information Management System, compared to previous manual reservation it will

easily place reservation and inquire through online.

Recommendation

The group would like to recommend the theory of the implementation stage to the

Pet Professional. It should comply with the hardware and software requirements. Proper

training on using the hardware was also advised to the staffs whenever problems the data

overload or data loss in the database occurred.

The group recommended the Pet Professional must acquire the needed system

upon the implementation and will be ensured that the appointments must update correctly

of the staff and it was the accurate data because the system supports real time capturing

data.

The group highly recommended that there must be Pet Professional to be adopted

replacement to their manual reservations. The system would lead to on records safety,

effectiveness, efficiency and as well, its high quality services cost. Moreover, to improve

patient appointment and reservation management system there must also an evaluation of

the quality of the reservation over time to ensure it was updated right away.
