Dear Parents and Children

Welcome back to the new term and Happy New Year! I will be spending nearly all of my time at St Thomass this term so I will be the person to come to if you have any concerns or queries. Mrs. Sanderson will be at the school most Tuesdays in order to get to know the children and their families before she takes up the post of Head of School after Easter. Diary dates for this term are included in this newsletter. There have been some complaints about not receiving the newsletter each week so for the next few weeks the eldest child in each family will get a letter on Fridays until we set up a complete email system. The newsletter will still be available on the website. I know you have already done this but please bear with me as I ask for you to complete the attached slip so that email addresses can be updated. Thank you. Mrs. J Anderson
A prayer for the start of a new year: Another year is dawning With the chance to start anew. May I be kinder, wiser, Lord, In all I say and do. Amen

From Mrs. Hicks Thank you to everyone who supported our Egyptian Museum
and paid us a visit. The children thoroughly enjoyed their world based learning experience which was enhanced by your visit!

Break time toast Only the children in KS2 are allowed to buy toast and
teacakes at break time from now on. Many of the younger children are not eating their fruit or their lunch because they are filling up with bread instead and I have heard rumours that some children are not having breakfast because they can have toast mid-morning! Please make sure your child has had breakfast before coming to school unless they are attending our breakfast club for their meal.
th

FOSTA There will be a FOSTA meeting at 9am in the staffroom on Thursday 12

Everyone is welcome to attend.

January.
