The article also talks about reviewing environmental problems of the project. C) The author presented the article like as if the Canadian government did not correctly respond to the tax bill. #2:Flaherty, provinces primed for healthy debate A) Jessica Murphy(Parliamentary Bureau), Mon, Dec 19, 2011, The Ottawa Sun B) The article talks about the meeting between finance minister Jim Flaherty from the federal government, and his other fellow finance ministers from provincial governments talking about health care and pensions. Their main topic was the 2004 health accord which transfers money from federal to provincial governments. Flaherty wants to take off some health-care transfers for economic grows. Each year the transfers rise 6% each year until 2016. In November, the Prime Minister Stephen Harper already was worried about federal spending on health. He says that it is a problem and needs to be fixed. The federal government also wants to make a voluntary pooled, registered pension plan, in place of the existing one. C) The author did not create any bias in this article because she presented both sides of the debate; explaining how provincial governments need the money, and how the federal government is having trouble paying the provincial governments.

The refugees will then have no choice except to return to Iraq, where they will be imprisoned and possibly killed. Then it describes the reactions of the MPs in the House of Commons, and how they are concerned about the situation and are working on a plan to help the refugees. C) The author used appropriate and easy words to describe the situation. He did not show any bias, and presented the article well by including facts and dates.

#4:9 ways to say very little A) Kristy Kirkup (Parliamentary Bureau), Mon, Dec 5, 2011, Pg 8, the Ottawa Sun B) The article speaks of the debate the NDP leaders had on economic problems. The debate seemed to be quite stale and boring and no leader really stood out from the group. Then the article wrote about the individual thoughts of some of the leaders. C) There was no bias to any of the leaders and the author of the article included many facts near the end. The words the author used was as plain as the debate. #5:Plasco price questions A) Jon Willing(City Hall Bureau), Tuesday, 13, 2011, Pg 3, the Ottawa Sun B) The article talks about a 20-year deal with Plasco Energy Group that has questionable expenses. Then they talked about how the costs saved from switching to bi-weekly garbage collection will go into paying Plasco garbage fees rather than helping reduce homeowners garbage fees. The article also talks about how the environmental committee and the city are dealing with the deal. C) The author did not speak much on Plascos behalf which seems to bring a bit of bias on to the article because most of it is just the possible financial problems and the environmental committee.

#6:Oath rules unveiled: No Exceptions A) Mark Dunn (Senior National Reporter), Tues, Dec 13, 2011, Pg 7, the Ottawa Sun B) Talks about how the new regulation required Muslim women to reveal their niqabs and burkas to gain citizenship. It also gave comment of the immigration minister and the Muslim Canadian Congress. The article then speaks of the NDP having no issue of the regulation and how the Liberals said it would likely land in court. C) There was a bit of bias in the article. It made the people who created the regulation look bad because they talked a lot more about their comments that can seem negative. This created bias towards the Muslims.
