INTRODUCTION Text detailing the video that was delivered 13th June to Mushroom Records explaining the moments

and what took place a week after the front page news 2001 Crown Casino incident and events that took place on June 22nd 2001. Scrolls through and text continues about the mental institution and the 17 days of hell while in there. SCENE 1 INT FLASH BACKS DAY

Text: 10 years later Shot of room where Raed is chilling out, showing what is in the room to reflect Raed as an artist and his inspirations e.g. pictures, photos, news paper articles, books, CDs. CUT TO MENTAL INSTITUTION Flashing blurry images of the following: Raed is strapped tightly in a hospital bed, and is refusing to take his medication. Two large male nurses are holding him down, one with their hand on his nose. A doctor starts to talk to nurses about Raed's mental condition and how they found him rapping at Crown, completely oblivious that Raed can hear him. Distorted dialog here. A third female nurse reluctantly washes some pills down Raed's throat, then begins to prepare needle containing morphine. Nurse looks at Raed with pity. Hes eyes say it all. She begins to administer sedatives via a needle into his arm. SCENE 2 EXT THE LETTER BOX DAY

Raed walks outside. Its after midday (sun overhead). Raed checks the letter box. You can tell its been a while since he has checked the letter box from the amount of letters in the box. Close-up down shot as he flicks through the letters which are mainly speeding tickets, bills and a few album knock back letters from music agencies. Raed spins around walks back up front path

talking to himself in frustration door closes. SCENE 3 INT ANSWERING MACHINE DAY

Back in the house Raed drops all the letters into the kitchen bin. Camera fixed on the answering machine as Raeds finger moves in and out of shot as messages are played. There are 3 messages on the screen. Raeds finger presses play. ANSWERING MACHINE MESSAGE 1 BEEP. Message received at 11.55 am on Sunday the 4th of June, 2010. Hello Raed its Ash. Hope you are all good. I had a chat to my manager about the gig mate. He wasn't for it man. Sorry champ, talk to you soon buddy. BEEP cuts in as Raed presses fast forward button. ANSWERING MACHINE MESSAGE 2 Message received at 12.02 pm on Sunday the 4th of June, 2010. Hey Raed its Rach, just letting you know they had a listen to your CD and said that they weren't willing to get you in the club on the mic. Sorry, see you around. BEEP cuts in as Raed presses fast forward button. ANSWERING MACHINE MESSAGE 3 Message received at 12.06 pm on Sunday the 4th of June, 2010. Hey mate, yea look its Roger from The Last Word here. [Pauses]. Yea look, its my cuss 30th this Fri mate, so we need the venue. I know you were booked in to roll and all. Maybe next week yea? Raeds finger hits delete. You have no more messages.

ANSWERING MACHINE You have no more messages. Clock flashes from 12.12 pm to 12.13 pm. Another answering message has just been left. Raeds finger hits play. ANSWERING MACHINE MESSAGE 4 (FROM MARK) Message received at 12.13 pm on Sunday the 4th of June, 2010. [Stern annoyed professional] Look you freak would you stop calling?! Seriously, if you leave another piece of meaningless shite like that on my voicemail again Ill get a frigg'n restraining order out against you. MEEP MEEP MEEP [has hung up]. ANSWERING MACHINE MESSAGE 5 (FROM CAFE BOSS) Sorry Raed we're going to have to let you, cause its too quiet and we need to drop shifts. Cuts to Raed getting a OJ drink from the fridge. He is in a worried mood. Makes a call to Micky his mate for a favor. RAED Hey Micky, I need you to hook me up man. I just lost my job man. I need to get back in to the scene man and do what I gotta do. MICKY (Trying to persuade him not to). Man you're on a suspended sentence for that shit, but any way leave it with me. I'll let you know where to meet. SCENE 4 INT A FEMALE FRIEND DAY

We hear a knock at the door. Raed opens it to find Bianka, his next door neighbor.

BIANKA Hi gorgeous! RAED Haha, heya Bi. How ya doing hun? Come in, come in. He lets her in. Its clear by the way he moves that he is down. They sit in the lounge. BIANKA So mister, I checked out your Myspace page the other night. The clip for gotta love this city is rad hun. I've never been in a stretch Hummer before. Bianka notices Raed's arms are crossed, and his sad temperament. BIANKA You're worth a whole lot better than that anyways. Christ babe, there's a whole city of cooler chicks out there awaiting you! Raed laughs. Don't worry about it Beez, I'm over it. You can tell by my flow. BIANKA [Playfully] So, are we still going out tonight? RAED [Still down about the gig & message]. Sorry Bi, Im really not in the mood. BIANKA Why? Whats up? Raed is not saying much at all, but is happy to see her. BIANKA You are strong Raed. Whatever it is that you are going through youll be ok. Bianka's phone rings. It is her friend (another

resident on Raed's street, that Raed doesn't know) asking if she could babysit her kid for a while. This is because she has to go pay some bills and do some female stuff. She has been invited out on date with her dream man just moments ago and needs to pamper herself. She is very excited. SCENE 5 INT SYDNEY DMA RECORDS STUDIO DAY

Three Agents are kicking back in an office studio looking for fresh acts on the internet. They somehow find the My space account for Raed. There is also a flashing number on the website, 0421 000 911 on a LSD banner, that they don't really pay attention to till later on in the film. They like his rap style and flow. RICHARD [Typical, cocky character]. He's original. Its just what we need. This guy will go off here. Some body find him for me. LADY USED TO BE GERRY [Classic case of a hard rider]. Ive heard of this guy before. He freestyled on our answering machine awhile ago. His style is quiet intense, like crazy. MIKE You knew about this artist, and you never said anything? All three are talking to each other and are thrilled with their discovery. They have a look in the website and find interesting articles. RANDEL [Brains of the three]. Hey, check it. Seems like this guy's had a heap of heat. He's dedicated to his style. RICHARD I want youto find him

for me I need him found before the 13th. THE LADY [Laughs] That's only two weeks away. RANDEL [Laughs, shaking head] That's crazy. What do you mean? RICHARD I want him to put something down on this new compilation album. He will boost the sales through the roof and make it go international. Sydney will love this guy. MIKE [Laughs] Alright then Amigos. Let's jet to Melbourne find this Raed guy and sign him up. LADY & RANDEL [Laugh together] Deal! RICHARD I will have a driver waiting for you at the airport. mike grabs a piece of paper and starts scribbling down Raed's contact details off the Myspace site. SCENE 6 EXT MELBOURNE AIRPORT DAY

Play upbeat tune here. Time lapse of sun coming up over city, lights going off along South Yarra, trams going over bridge. Cut to shot of plane landing at Melbourne Airport. Cut to Lady, Randel & Mike standing at a Taxi rank. RANDEL Well welcome to Melbourne boys. This place smells better than Sydney. THE LADY Hey, what if this Raed

guy is just a myth? MIKE What like some kid playing a hoax, nah this guy is a freak ? RANDEL The clock is ticken, we haven't got much time. Where's our driver? THE LADY Something's fishy about this Raed I don't think he is here at all. MIKE Well I bet you my plane trip home he is. You're on. The driver is seen buy this stage. DRIVER Doesn't say much he escorts them to the car and takes them to hotel. SCENE 7 CUT TO MEETING WITH INFORMANTS DAY THE LADY

Two guys and a lady drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes, while sitting down talking about Raed in the Governor's Office. Lora walks into the Governor's office, where Dug & Luke are sitting. LORA I need a new job. All this shit is too much for me. This Raed doesn't give up, he keeps calling and rapping to the receptionist. There's got to be something else other than this Crown Public Relations Officer shit. DUG You have a point. Maybe you should talk to your uncle since he runs the

joint. Lora lights up a smoke, the thin type. LORA That Raed rap-freak has been thrashing the building with calls. It is like he knows what went down. He knows more than he should. He is a worry. LUKE Yes, I heard the fool's been arching up about what happened to him at Crown. He's been dialing the joint directly and making threats in revenge to what I and your uncle arranged for him. Tim walks in and begins to listen to everything. He doesn't know as much as everyone else. DUG You would have thought a silencer to the head would shut anyone up. LUKE Nah, not this whack job. All the media exposure is edging him on. Fueling his cause. He's delirious. The guy's gotta go ... Luke sips and stirs his coffee. DUG Well better him than us. LORA He is a sexy-freak. It is like he is on a mission. I just don't know what the hell to do with him. GOVERNOR BIG BOSS Well I do. He has got to go. He has way too much on us, he could ruin our whole careers. Tim go get me another

coffee. Luke I need you to sort it out. LORA Double that. DUG Me too, I want three sugars with mine. Tim nods his head. Luke gets up to go sort out Raed. Lora flicks her cigarette ash. CUT TO footage of real video that was sent to Crown after Raed got out of the ward. The threat that shut down Heat, where Raed says "You are all fucked." SCENE 8 INT RAED AT HOME DAY

Raed making calls to a few Rogers house to remind Roger about his first recorded song. The song will be playing in the background until just before the knock at the door. Raed gets through to Roger's answering machine. ANSWERING MACHINE The person you have called is unavailable. Please leave a message after the tone. BEEP. RAED Ten years man, I've been calling for you for ten years. Man, remember this song. Knock at the door. Raed hangs up the phone and goes to the front door. It is a Sheriff who has come to serve an intervention order against him from a record label. SHERIFF Are you Raed Melki of 16 Fairbank St, Burwood? Yea. SHERIFF Does the mobile number 0421 000 911 belong to RAED

you sir? RAED Yeh, thats mine. SHERIFF Mr Read Melki, a Mr Guadinskly has been granted an intervention order by the Victorian Magistrates' Court preventing yourself from contacting him verbally or going within 250 meters of this person. Do you understand? RAED [Looking dumbfounded] Yes, sir. The Sheriff hands him the papers to sign, separates the copies, then turns to walk away. SHERIFF Hey by the way, nice number. How did you get that? Raed grins and replies .. RAED Its a cool number isn't it. Hey by the way what time is it? 1.13pm SCENE 9 INT ASSASSIN HIRED BY LUKE NIGHT SHERIFF

A phone conversation is over heard between Luke hiring an assassin. The government are trying to get rid of Raed. LUKE Melki is a serious liability. What do you want for the job? ASSASSIN 300 thousand euro. All notes, half up front and the rest after it's complete.

LUKE Meet me at The Dudges at mid night. ASSASSIN See you there. SCENE 10 EXT THE REC AGENTS DAY The Sydneyites arrive at their hotel. While unloading bags from the taxi they debate if they will find Raed. MIKE So, where do we start looking for this hot shot boys? The Lady reaches out the piece of the website, she They call but it into her jacket pocket to pull paper with Raed's number from wrote down was 0433 777 666. is disconnected.

Mike sarcastically congratulates The Lady, and laughs while hand shaking him and patting him on the back. MIKE You're da man!(won't suit as Gerry is now a lady - Maybe great going??) We're off to a good start. A disconnected number hey, fantastic. LADY [Pulls away, pissed off at herself] Yo, shut up bro. At least I noticed it. You probably didn't see it. Mike looks confused. All three are now looking confused about where and who to start talking to, in order to track Raed down. Randal is becoming negative and thinks that the whole thing is fabricated. The Arab taxi driver overhears the conversation and comments. DRIVER Where we going first my friends? THE LADY

Not sure yet. We came here to look for a rap artist. You heard of a r..a..e.. to the other fuken d? DRIVER Sorry mate. I've never heard of him. I don't like rap, I like my jazz. RANDEL You know, for all we know Raed could just be some pimply little gangsta wannabie's stage name. It's gotta be a joke. I mean how can his name at birth be Raed? DRIVER He sounds Arab with a name like that. THE LADY [laughs] R..A...E...D, yeh you know, on the phone message he left on the answering machine he said if you spell it backwards it reads dear. DRIVER [laughs, as he drives] He must be a smart Arab then. MIKE Yea? Why's that? DRIVER [Through window, typical Arab ornament hanging on rear view mirror]. Cause Arabs read from left to right.

Shot of guys acknowledging the statement. Randel looks more confident that Raed exists. A bag boy helping them take their bags out of the out of the car boot. SCENE 11 EXT ROGERS HOUSE DAY

Raed drives to Rogers house. There is a crew of 6 rappers there. Raed goes towards the door. They are talking shit about him. Raed just wants to know why Roger knocked back his gig. Roger is more honest in person, and says that the music is not appropriate and doesnt suit the club. The other rappers start making smart remarks. Raed confronts them. Rude rapper pushes Raed in the chest because Raed gets too close. A scuffle breaks out. Raed stays strong on his feet. Raed gets out of car. The boys are talking crap about Raed as he walks up to Roger. RAED Hi Roger, hey why did you knock the gig back? ROGER Your style of rap won't suit the club my friend. Sorry but that is how it goes. RAED What do you mean man? Let me have one gig there and we'll take it from there. ROGER No dude, forget it, it's not gonna happen for you. Rude boy in crew is mouthing off about Raed. A scuffle breaks out. RAED Youre all a bunch of pussies. Takes five of you and you're still trying bitches. RUDE RAPPER [Fiercely] Dont call me a bitch. RAED Yeh, well dont be making fun of me. What you think cause you got your crew here Id be afraid? Mother fucker you're a bitch.

ROGER [Stern loud authoritarian voice] Go inside. All of you. RAED [Rushing with adrenaline] This is rap mother fucker. Not some sort WWF wrestling match What? You deaf man? Keep walking bro. SCENE 12 MEET EXT LUKE & ASSASSIN NIGHT

We see Luke pass a bag to the Assassin through the car window. Its a very quick meeting in a discrete alley car park. Two cars side by side. Both of them are smoking cigarettes. The Assassin opens the bag on his lap. It contains all the information the Assassin needs to do the job e.g. maps, photos, addresses etc. LUKE Here is everything you need. All the info is in the envelope. Mmmm LUKE Take him out and do it quietly .. not to much noise.. understand? Assassin nods. SCENE 13 NIGHT EXT STREETS OF MELBOURNE WITH BARS ASSASSIN

Montage: Gangsta style music playing. Different shots of street activity going on i.e. drug deals, hoes around hustling street buskers, night life, the number 13 (tram stop perhaps?). Cut to Raed and Nima (a good mate) about to enter the bar. They walk past a Muslim on a rug on the pavement that is preaching the Koran. Raed asks him a question. RAED How do you know that God is a male and not a female man?

The preacher is frustrated & confused. Cut to shots of hot spots around Chapel Street. Some drug dealing going on, prostitution, kinky stuff. Cut to Raed and Nima walking into a bar with a live show on. Important shot for later on. A female rapper is in the back ground. Shot of Raed and Nima sitting down, chilling, relaxing and catching up in the bar having a quite drink. Raed talks about how he has been contacting agents etc. However, realistically, Raed has been calling the people who knocked back his music and leaving rap tone messages on their voicemail to freak them out when they get to work. Also we see the assassin trying to take him out long shot sniper. NIMA So how's life man? Any news on the record deal? RAED Nah, just a heap of junk mail. I've made a few phone calls to the people that knocked me back and have tried to re-negotiate. The female rap artist approached to say hello to Raed. WAITRESS Hey, how you been Raed? RAED Still working on shit. WAITRESS You need to start performing hun! RAED Yeh, I know. You're right. Just not at the moment. Not until I resolve a few personal issues with a few people. NIMA Dont take too long. I mean we're getting older not younger.

You're out of work so you might as well. Who knows, you might make some extra cash. WAITRESS Make sure you tell me when the gigs are on. Raed's phone rings. It's Micky inviting him to a party in a hotel room tomorrow.(Come down will talk some bizzo about what you asked me the other day). RAED Hey man [pause] Yea for sure, I'm up for a few drinks tomorrow night [pause], sweet see you there bro. Camera focuses on people walking on the street in the background of Raed on his phone. Zoom in to identify the three Sydneyites who have found their way to Chapel Street. CUT TO INT THE SYDNEYITES NIGHT The three Sydneyites are walking close to the place where Raed is but they keep walking on. SCENE 14 INT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST DAY

Morning scene of receptionist (Diane) coming into the club office. She turns the lights and computer on, puts her hand bag down, presses play on the answering machine. A few office related phone messages are played, the 3rd message is most important. ANSWERING MACHINE Message received at 5.13 pm on Saturday 3rd of June, 2010. (lengthy message in rap style). Freaks receptionist out. Mark enters office. Morning! Mark looks at Diane who is still looking at the answering machine in shock. DIANE You have to hear this, he has gone crazy. MARK

Plays the message. Mark from a distance freaks out when the rap drops. MARK Full on. He doesn't give up does he? He's fervent because we knocked his album gig back. DIANE I love it, I get goose bumps listening. No other rap artist can do that. We gotta do something for him. MARK Nah, I've been told to let this freak go. How come? MARK There's just not enough of a market for that sound here in Australia. Oh. SCENE 15 EXT ON THE STREETS DAY MONTAGE SHOT DIANE DIANE

The Record agents are trying to find Raed. We see them coming out of an internet cafe with a picture that have printed up of Raed. They show it to passers-by on Chapel Street. There seems to be a little frustration here with the crew when no-one recognises they guy in the picture. The agents appear tired and are losing faith. Pan across the street to find Raed walking out of a cafe with a latte. SCENE 16 EXT ASSASSIN DAY Long shot of the assassin in sniper mode attempting to shoot Raed from a high distance but is unable to due to the volume of people. Raed makes a call to Roger while walking along to see if Roger can help him release his album. As usual Roger doesn't answer. Raed ends the call. His phone rings. It is a booking agent letting him know that they haven't been able to arrange any gigs for Raed, but they are confident that they will have something hooked up soon.

SCENE 17 EXT LUKE CALLS ASSASSIN DAY Luke calls the Assassin to see if he is on target. It's a brief phone call. Few words are said but Luke is not happy with the Assassin. Lora is in the background. LUKE (Smoking cigar) Have you completed the job? Do you hear me? I need Melki dead. Kill him. Don't take too long. He has information that can destroy us. Kill him. ASSASSIN I'm on to it. Shot of Luke trying to relight Cigar as it was gone out. Lighter out of gas. SCENE 18 INT RECORD LABEL TEAM MEETING DAY At this point the record label agents are beginning to give up hope, they have been looking but no luck.They're talking about how Raed is not real and it is just some sort of hoax. They get into a conversation about the bomb hoax. Gerry brings up Raed's skitzo rap and how it made so much noise around the streets. They all split up and meet each other later but no sign of Raed. RANDEL Maybe we are wasting our time. I mean we have been asking people and they have never heard of this guy, we got 11 days left to find him. I mean what are the chances of that? THE LADY What you wanna quit now? MIKE Nah I'm sure he be found, have a bit off faith, and stop being so negative. THE LADY Your right the guy's rapping antics shook this city to its core.

Anyone who's rhymes and makes that much of a noise around the streets, gotta be real. MIKE You're right. It cant be a prank. There's online links posted by other artists. People like his shit. RANDEL Yea, like what? MIKE DJ Cool's posted a flow Raed left on his answering machine. It went on for like 10 minutes man. The R, the A, the E, the D ... he was flowin'! No phantom be doing that. Now lets stop this crap and lets find him. I know he is here somewhere. SCENE 19 INT REC AGENTS BOSS DAY The big boss rings the team to see how theyre going. He is making sure they are on the go, are on schedule, and are looking for Raed. RICHARD Mike how are things going? You found him yet? MIKE No boss, but I won't let you down. RICHARD It is important that we find him and sign him up. I want him. He can make me lots of money. MIKE I'm on to it. Leave it with me. I wouldnt come out this far from home, just so to fuck around.

ADD INT NIMA RAED THE BOULEVARD SCENE FULL MOON HOWLING NGT Raed and Nima are at The Boulevard talking. Nima is telling Raed about how he wants to go overseas to pursue his career in interior decorating. It cuts to them howling and then they make their way to the party. RAED My mate Micky knows me too well. He knows I love my full moons. No better night for a party, hey? NIMA Yeh man, I feel like getting sloshed. SCENE 20 INT AT GOVERNOR'S OFFICE SITTING DOWN NIGHT Scene between all the government members who were involved and police officer(s) who were trying to cover up a bad procedure. In this scene we get an understanding of how horrible the treatment was that Raed experienced as a result of the bomb hoax. Doug, Tim, Luke, Police Officer(s) and Lora (maybe more) talk about what happened and the audience find out what actually took place. Video footage shown: The Video Delivered to Crown, The Spook Video and The Speech Video (to be disclosed to editor). This provides the audience with a real glimpse of the situation. POLICE MAN He has made some more threats there getting very serious we need to follow up on it. LORA He seems to be still upset about the ward you had him in. GOVERNOR BOSS We had to institutionalize Raed for many reasons. He knows way too much. Claiming him to be mentally ill meant nobody would pay attention to him. LORA His rap sounds

dangerous, he gives me goose bumps I'm kinda starting to like this freak. POLICE MAN He freaks me out. We need to silence him. Cuts to Raed making a threatening phone call to the psychologist Dr Ian Murphy. (From past). Cuts to Dr Ian Murphy making phone call to Luke questioning how Raed got his number. (From past). Cut back to government team and corrupt police discussing Raed. DUG (Super stressed) He orchestrated a bomb hoax guys. A freakn' hoax. There's gotta be more to this. We put him in a mental home and kept him unconscious for 5 days. He is pissed off. He knows we tried to shut him down and make him look like a fool. But the freak lived. He's not normal. We are all fucked if we dont take him down. LUKE Stop sweating it, its only a matter of time. LORA Glad to hear you've got it under control. Tim is still learning about what happened, whereas everyone else already knows. Tim talks towards Lora and Luke. TIM I found this tape in the his file. It wasnt a normal bomb hoax. Its a tape Raed sent into Crown Casino the week before the stunt. I still don't understand why he would send this tape to Crown.

It is here we see 13 seconds of the tape that made front page news with voice overs. Lora lights up a cigarette. She is not surprised about the tape. It seems like they know she is a Russian Jew, as well as the Governor's niece. The Governor knew about the tape. TIM Who's they man in the tape? LORA That's Raed's old man. TIM That doesn't make sense. BOSS GOVERNOR Looking at Lora. I told you to hide that tape so noone would find it. LUKE Talk about a hell of a final few words. GOVERNOR BOOSS Raed delivered that tape a few months after he's old man passed away. TIM Dam I wish I had a son like that. LORA He's old man would be proud of him. POLICE MAN He is trouble. We don't want trouble. TIM Well you should have thought about that before you put him in to a mental institution. He is stronger now than what he was 10 years ago.

SCENE 21 INT HOTEL RELIGON TALKS NIGHT Its a party banging scene. Raed and Nima rock up to the hotel. We have a room of around 13 people. Raed arrives at the hotel to get a drug run started because he is out of work. Somehow the topic of religion comes up and intensifies. There are a few ladies that are really sexy and kinky. One of the people there make a smart remark about Raed and bring up the bomb hoax situation. This sets off a string of jokes about the situation. Raed gets a bit upset he leaves and one of the girls leave with him. a knock at the door samantha answers the raed and nima at the door hey guys RAED 'we hear to see miky blue eyes samantha being cheeky mick and boby and abdoulah talking MICKY the teriosit him self come in alex introduces raed to boby and abdoulah BOBY rae how u been bro its been awhile MICKY what u guys no each other RAED e went to school togeather nima how u been man NIMA partying man and bitches all night every night SIA Pass me some of that weed. That's why I decided to shut down Crown Casino. SAMANTHA You're such a freak. RAED Yea but I'm the first and only rapper in the world to have to shut down an internationally recognized casino. SIA You shut the casino down? What like completely? RAED Yea man, the whole quarter block of the city was lights out. SIA You crazy mother fucker.

and the mentor is no longer there. Raed remembers the advice the mentor gave him about confronting the kingpins and certain government powers holding his music back. The mentor has revived Raed's confidence to confront the situation. He now realises that the government tried to kill of his rhythm by forcing him to be medicated. Raed realises that there are only a few people who can be involved. This is a climatic and catalytic turning point of the movie. SCENE 32 INT REC AGENTS STILL TRYING TO FIND RAED DAY Work out something cool for this scene. Its the turning point of the movie so we got to heat it up a bit. It is also a courtesy call to inform the Governor of Raed's recent threat whereby Raed mentioned that he was planning to pay the Governor a visit. Theyre playing the part of the video underground version on repeat. In particular, the part where Raed sent in the casino spook and was skitzing saying Look in to my eyes.
