Baptism Class Begins
Teaching children about faith is the most important job we
as parents and teachers have. George Barna and his
research team state that we have a window of opportunity
during a child's life from ages 4-14 years that will determine
what they will and will not believe.
We have been training our children and teaching them about Christ and the love of
the Father. Our Baptism class gives our children and families a chance to explore
their faith and have questions answered as they consider taking the next step to
follow Christ.
Classes will be held on Sunday evenings in Room 13 from 5:00-6:30
beginning February 5th - March 4th. There will be an informational
meeting for parents on January 22nd at 11:15 in Room 13 for about 30
minutes to show you the curriculum and answer questions. See Stacy for
details or to sign up!
MLK, Jr. Parade & Community Festival
Monday, January 16th, 9:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m

and legacy of MLK, Jr. We will leave from
Chaparral for the Mesa Arts Center to watch and enjoy the parade and the
music, dancing, and food of the festival. The event is free but students may
wish to bring cash for lunch. Parents and families welcome.

We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which
you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your
information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear
from everyone!
Communion/Lords Supper
All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion.
If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, you
are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems as
they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it while
it is in front of them before passing it along.
Offering
In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an
act of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a time
specific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for giving
as you are led.
Nursery
We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on the
north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions.
