Description:
This workshop, organized under the School of Mechanical Engineering at Lovely Professional
University, aims to equip participants with practical skills in rocket design while emphasizing
key considerations and safety precautions for launch. The event will begin with theoretical
sessions covering propulsion systems and basic flight mechanics, followed by hands-on activities
in rocket design and launch. To conclude, an astronomy quiz will be conducted to reinforce
learning. The workshop is open to students from all departments.
Expected Outcomes:
✓ On completion of the event, the participants will be able to,
✓ Learn different paraments required to design a rocket.
✓ Practical knowledge of designing a rocket and its trajectory on Open Rocket.
✓ Learn how head mass and fins design effects stability and trajectory.
✓ Precautions which are required to follow at the time of launch.
✓ Further can improve designs of the rocket and produce patents.
