With over 65,000 apps available for the iPad, you may find yourself feeling completely overwhelmed.

We did! Luckily, we had a team consisting of a Technology Facilitator, five SLPs and a Speech Support Specialist. Together, with the help of Google, we located and uploaded over 400 apps to our iPads. We quickly learned that we needed to give each app a second look. We asked ourselves two major questions: 1. Free or Full Version- Is it worth it? 2. Is the app effective enough to be used as an instructional tool? We have comprised this list with the hope that our research and evaluation of the apps will save you time! Although most of our team consists of SLPs, most of our apps can be used across the curriculum (SALSA). Classroom teachers, students and parents will all benefit from our selected apps. In our App Evaluation, you will see that we included the image of the app icon, the title of the app, a description of the app and cost of the app. The comment section will offer you additional insight.
