TRANSLATING CATIA V5 TO ROBCAD

For translating from Catia V5 to Robcad just use Robcad's Data CAD import menu. However, for translating from Robcad to Catia V5 you need to use a Command window (e.g. DOS). Follow the steps below: 1. Pick Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Window. 2. Type: Drive letter and colon (e.g. C: ) then press the Enter key. 3. Type: cd << path where component is located >> (e.g. cd C:\data\robcad) then press the Enter key. 4. Type: cat5_out << component name >> (e.g. cat5_out s555555.co) 5. A CGR file will be created inside a folder named after the Robcad component name without the ".co" extension. 6. Open Catia and insert the CGR file in to a Catia Product session. Pick Insert --> Existing component. Note, you can also perform cat5_out on a cell.
